Do you have a clean savegame?

Buy with main account, trade to 2nd account and then back?
but you can only transfer to 1 acct per day?

Do the reverse. Buy cars on seconday accounts and send them to main. The only limit to how many cars you get per day is how many secondary accounts you have.

You have to set up the accounts. Reaching ~ level 20 isn't hard thanks to seasonal events. Send a NASCAR from your main to the first 2nd account to get it started, then pass the NASCAR on to the next account, etc. Every time, you get 1,000,000 cr and maybe 15 levels of XP per account. Use that to buy a Ford GT or something and do another seasonal.

When you finish, you'll have a bunch of level 20+ accounts with millions of cr.

i have known since GT2 that my rally skills are well below average

I'm in the same boat. The Loeb challenges were harder than the Vettle ones for me. I still haven't even bronzed them, but I don't like Rally much, so I don't really practice.

My savegame is clean. But it will only stay clean as long as it takes to find someone willing to trade the 400R for something much more expensive.

The flaw in your analogy is basically this:

What makes a serial killer a serial killer is not actually that he feels no remorse at doing "wrong". It's that he's psychologically incapable of viewing other people as people deserving of rights. Thus, he can do no "wrong" in relation to the people he kills because they are not people. This is the same mentality that drives genocide, wherein the offenders are capable of being perfectly civil to each other, their friends and family, and perfectly capable of following a strict ethical code within this circle. In fact, they sometimes have very rigid moral codes... but think nothing of butchering "non-people" outright.

A "cheater" on the other hand, willingly goes against social conventions in order to prove his superiority to others. In other words, you cheat to win because you desire the accolades of other people, whom you regard as people. If you didn't, you wouldn't care what they said about you, either way.

----

What this means is:

Your common serial killer or fascist dictator is probably less likely to punt people off the track online than Michael Schumacher is. I'm betting Charles Manson would have made a perfectly good race host, to be honest... just turn your earphones off to block out the incessant psychotic ranting...

I am smart enough not to debate a super moderator on such a subject. :D

But I do believe Ted Bundy would have been a better race host than Manson
since Manson is a raging psychotic and Bundy was a terrible sociopath but,
still able to function in most social situations soewhat normally.

It was a cheater with no remorse I was drawing comparasion to though. :O ;)

Some people are sheep that believe and follow a set of arbitrary rules set by others without question(morons/see any religion) and then their are other people who set their own rules that they follow until the need arises to change and follow a new or amended set of rules(free thinkers and basically intelligent people).

How the **** did this thread turn into a discussion about serial killers?
Equating questionable behavior on a video game to sociopathy? really?

Some people have such a low-self worth that they feel a need to point out how wrong or inferior another is whenever they feel their cover is threatened...
...because they live life looking to be offended or insulted and since seeking a thing works so well, they will find it even when none was intended.

The question is the "why" and "how" of cheating.

Possibly. And he'd probably be a better driver.

The question, in the end, is the social motivation for cheating. Cheaters cheat to get one up on other people. Whether it's to "win" a contest and claim the accolades for doing so, to incite the other player to rage and to prove their "superiority" over the other person on an emotional or intellectual (I can bunnyhop, you can't... neener neener neener) level. It's still a social thing.

Which is why duping, by itself, has no weight in these terms... but when used to present to other people the trappings of wealth... it does.

But then, this is still a social thing. Looking for acceptance. Not looking to kill the other person through envy. :dopey:

It was "the one who was being cheated was the indiviual who was doing the behavior" as my first definition or victim of being cheated and not others...
...then it went off on a couple of different levels and I was led away responding to the perspectives of others and quite nearly lost the plot myself.

The bottom line is there is remorse in spades shown here whether admitted or not
and the serial killer comment was a red herring to draw out the thinkers and other personality types.

I still watch people with a seeming lack of moral conscience very closely though. ;)

No my save game is not clean, do I care... no. Is it cheating? Not really, not gaining an advantage over the competition.

Reason for it? Not everyone has the time and/or patience to grind through repeating races to earn these cars

(morons/see any religion)...(free thinkers and basically intelligent people).

funny... you should say that because i hate religion, i think people who believe in any kind of religion or "superior" to us power are total and complete idiots that should not watse space and precious resources on earth. but i also am one of those people with a "clean gamesave".

i take your comment as those with a "clean gamesave" are dumb sheep that just follow and those with a "dirty gamesave" are thinker and innovators.
if i am wrong let me know.

It's funny you should come to such a conclusion since I gave no implication to either end. I would not say you are wrong, necessarily. Your point of view is somewhat surprising and refreshing.

I am happy to say mine is clean. I struggle to find time to play the game let alone spend the time creating new accounts and doing whatever it is from there you need to do.
No grudges against those who have a "dirty account" because take me back 10 years or so if this option was available i would have done it.

Happy racing

I had an X2010 Carbon gifted to me. It's an incredible machine, but everything I've used to progress in the game has been legit, though, either won in A-spec or B-spec or purchased in the game legit.

It was "the one who was being cheated was the indiviual who was doing the behavior" as my first definition or victim of being cheated and not others...

Ah, then I would have to fall back on the words of Robert Heinlem (possibly through Lazarus Long, but I am not sure... this was a long time ago...): "Hurting yourself is not a sin - just stupid."

It's a great ice-breaker, I'll admit.

Mine should be clean allthough i think that i traded some glitched cars in. At least the cars that i sent out were all grinded for. So i assume i can call that clean.
But now the freakin lense died and i cant continue grinding ahhhhhhhhhh no gt5 and no grinding make Vautwin go crazy!!!! The pressure to kill is rising.
Wow maybe healthcare will refund me the repairs as it seems to be some kind therapie. But it did not work with motorcycling 

Haven't done any trading as I just play online, and run races to advance days so I can find cars to buy. Right now on my JGTC and Group C car hunt, the latter is expensive as hell. No reason to try to belittle how other's get their entertainment playing the game as long as it doesn't infringe upon others it's fine by me.

I have a "clean" save, but I also back my game up fairly regularly as a safety measure against errors and crashes. Learned my lesson in F1 2010, played into the 4th year of my career, turned the game on one day and it wouldn't load my save file due to some error. I ended up having to start all over again, and if you know F1 2010, I always did 100% full race weekends and set everything to expert (which is pretty hard to do when you're racing for Virgin or HRT). So my back-ups serve as just that, back-ups. Just in case something were to happen like a power outage during the middle of an auto-save that ruined my save data, I wouldn't be out the entire career I've put together.

As for the supposed "glitchers", who really cares? If they want to let them, if you don't then that's great also. None of it is illegal or anything, it's just part of being smarter than the game which I have no problem with, I just choose not to do it due to lack of time and motivation. I'm slow, I can't win many events whether I have a fast car or not, so it wouldn't really matter if I glitched myself a fast car since it would spend more time at the body shop than it would on the track surface.

I see nothing wrong with it.

It by no means makes the game "easier", It takes nothing away from your "skill". All it allows you to do is gain some nice variety of cars that otherwise would take 100 years to get.

I paid for the game, I want to race the cars.

GT4 I had an "uber" save. Its not like your cheating to gain A spec levels, or unlock the game, you just want to have some cars!.

At this point I have 4 "clean game" saves.

I have 4 profiles where I run and drive the game in parallel.

Since I have actually drove all races there and accumulated all the money and cars, I feel very clean about trading and gifting my cars to myself.

You just have to love Seasonal Events.

Sure it makes the game easier, why? Easy answer, imagine you are stuck on the classic car thingy, having a hard time beatin it in your countach or RMed camaro. You come to this forum and make a deal for one of the cars that eins it easilly by throwing 100 cars to the guy that gives you one of his bday cars. Both of you wont care because the cars going away wont hurt You because u can boot them back to your garage.

Yes, I cheat. SOME games come with every car unlocked (GRID). I am simply bypassing that step. If I didn't I would probably never get to drive the X2010, FGT, etc... I am doing the programmers at PD a favor! I get to enjoy their WHOLE game, not just what I happen to unlock/purchase.

I like your thinking. Where do I sign up?

My save is CLEAN

It's filled with cars that were given to me
I even made my own freebies to save a few millions

One thing however makes it CLEAN
All the litle golden cups I got in A-Spec
Were obtained giving the AI cars a fair chance
I did not use the X1 against any other car
I did not use the FGT against any other car than ... a field of FGTs

And ... about B-Spec
I do not know how clean that is
Because that's not me racing anyway

NOW ... how clean is your A-Spec save, can you tell me?

It's funny you should come to such a conclusion since I gave no implication to either end. I would not say you are wrong, necessarily. Your point of view is somewhat surprising and refreshing.

i wasnt trying to pick a fight. i took your comment in that manner but it is easy to take it the other way around as well. thats why i asked is all. not trying to troll or snowball this into another direction.

i dont really care all that much if people cheat dupe glitch their way through gt5. im not in an race to be the first to lvl40 or get the platinum trophy. i havent even bought an FGT yet but i have finished the first 3 endurance races. im not even halfway through the special events. how others play doesnt affect my experience of gt5 in a-spec.

I work with computers, systems, storage, fibre channel, virtualization and networking. Those are enough problems to be kept under control every day.

What am I trying to say? That I will not spend any other minute of my life cracking, tweaking, jailbreaking, duplicating and cheating. I just want to play the game it meant to be played --- I just want to turn on my system, press a button and make it work.

So my answer is yes, I have a clean save game and i am not planning at all to modify it at any time of my life.

I'm a filthy dirty cheater. When I have an opportunity to play GT5, when family is asleep and work is done, I want to enjoy all the wonderful cars it has to offer. I will continue to sell off my inventory, purchase and upgrade the car of my choice, and gift back and restore my save. If gifting is wrong, I don't wanna be right! ;)

My save is dirty, in fact it couldn't get much dirtier without being in a Max Mosley video.:sly:

My game is as fresh as can be. Only traded twice very early on for equivalent cars, and never duped or glitched anything. I've never even done an indy race for quick easy credits because I dont enjoy it. I just race what I feel like and when I have enough money to buy the next car on my list I get excited and buy it.

Like Hun said though: using fair cars for each race is his idea of clean, and you can't argue with that. Although I always use equivalent, unmodded cars for events that I like ( JGTC, DTM, All-Stars, Formula GT), I've used overpowered cars for other events that I'm doing just for the sake of completion. My collection might mean more to me but his gold medals mean more to him.

Everyone plays for a different reason and buying cars isnt exactly a matter of skill; so I think I'm more on Hun's side in seeing a clean save as one with no driving aids and equal competition as opposed to one where you spent 15 hours grinding the easiest race in the game for your cars.
