There is more to life than being right besides the many different ways to be right that there are.

If a person has no remorse in doing wrong then they are more like a serial killer than those who do feel it.
Killing small animals by accident and not caring is cold but not the same as doing it intentionally.

Hell, there are people I know who intentionally kill all kinds of animals with no remorse, when hunting, for example. They. Kill. Intentionally. Without remorse, whatsoever. Now, do those peopel share the same attitude as a serial killer? Not necessarily, right? We'd have a boatload of killers at our hands, otherwise.
And if that's the case, saying that someone who's duping a car hs a similar attitude to a serial killer if they don't feel remorse about what they did is just plain BS, sorry.

Michael Schumacher did some morally questionable things during his career (some might call some of them 'cheating')

Well he is rich and famous, I would have done the same thing as him if I was in his position. Throughout his career he toed the line, and definitely crossed that edge but I think sometimes you got look out for number one.

If you consider restarting A-Spec races I'm not going to win as cheating, then I am a cheater :)
Otherwise, my only "transaction" in GT5 so far was gifting an Audi TTS to a friend of mine who is new to the GT experience and which I wanted to help, even if it's not the best car of the world :D

It's good to stretch the mind once in a while lest it calcify or something.

I did not use the birthday glitch and I did not dupe cars, I did not even backup my savegame before. Not sure about the people I traded with though. But it were just a few legit trades so I guess my savegame is still a virgin. :p Clean!

How can recieving a gift be cheating?
Because letting your friends dupe cars and gifting them to you and then saying you're clean is a bit hypocrite? Hell, according to your logic, it should be the same as buying stolen goods in real life. :sly:

Subsitance is not mashing baby birds or bunnys with a rawhide mallet.

Relax Francis, the test is over and you failed unless you can pull your head out and take a look around.

There was a plot somewhere back there. :)

OG, just as a heads up, the mods aren't too hot on double posting about here.

Thanks.
It was coming so hot an heavy I missed it.
Hopefully they will see it in their hearts to forgive me.

At least there was some communication going on though.

Lol at perfect racers here...

Once again:

This is a Gran Turismo foum so nobody cheats and everybody drives like the book. As soon as they are on a different forum about Gran Turismo, the same people cheat, ram cars and cut corners.

...

Since today I've a dirty save (duping), not proud of it. It's just that I'm a little bit sick of leaving my ps3 on all day on B-spec to unlock certain cars.

I have done about everything, accept for "freebies".
I for one actually think that the game got a lot more fun, i have loads of cars i couldn't have had in MONTHS of playing time.

I only do freebies when saving up for another car and fall for a couple of cars in the UCD, I've birthday car'd once, although I won't lie, I restore saves when I trade.

Hi you all
I'm clean as of today.....

I have been questioning how you can have 5 FGTs and at the same time drowning in expensive supercars......in my first thread on GTplanet:

-How can people have so many expensive Cars-
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=159326

I got allot of info about this and very happy of all the info i got!!

Is it wrong?????
Is it Right ?????

That is totaly up to the individual person.......

I have reached level 26 clean as of today!!!

----------------------------------------------------

Game Progress :54 %
Total Wins :236
Total Distance Driven: 8.046,0 km

Licences: S Gold:41 Silver:15 Bronze:4

----------------------------------------------------

Soooo, what i mean is........Don't spend so much time on playing the game right for nothing, when there is a easier way of doing things.........if people cheat, does that mean that they are a better driver???? I think not......best drivers learn by driving allot......many KM/Miles......and doing Events and drive online.

Find YOUR car and learn it whell. Setup your car correctly!!!
If it takes to cheat/Dupe/Grind to get your dream car.....So be it!!! You still need to lean your ways with all new cars.....

Plus.....don't use any form for help when driving...ABS and standart Tracktion on 5 is in real life OK.....You can win allot of races with all help turned on, but you will loose big time in real life and Online if you drive Pro games!!

Se you Online :-)

I started Duping about 10 days ago (for multiple accounts). Technically my original account is "clean" but the 3 other accounts are 100% dirty.

I guess I'm a wanna be cereal killer so don't start a pissing match with me or I'll hunt you down.

Always after me Lucky Charms.

I do it so I can drive as many different cars as possible in this "Real Driving Simulator" The next thing I'm going to do is try to buy 400 carts to see if I can get the 1000 car trophy, and if I do I'm going to restore my save game so the trophy doesn't cost me anything.

Agree with that ^

But much more importantly SideShowBob, if that's your dog in your display picture then I want it! Too cute xD

Thanks man, I'm still at college and our family has a Golden Lab, I love her almost as much as my Signature Editon xD (Joke, a lot more :P)

But yeah that is a beautiful dog, thanks pal :)

I don't see what's the bid deal, I welcome duping, It got me a carbon x2010, and now a f2007, so what if you used something for an unintended purpose, it's like using a banana as a tool, useful no, but why not?

My savegame is clean. But it will only stay clean as long as it takes to find someone willing to trade the 400R for something much more expensive.

If a person has no remorse in doing wrong then they are more like a serial killer than those who do feel it.
Killing small animals by accident and not caring is cold but not the same as doing it intentionally.

The flaw in your analogy is basically this:

What makes a serial killer a serial killer is not actually that he feels no remorse at doing "wrong". It's that he's psychologically incapable of viewing other people as people deserving of rights. Thus, he can do no "wrong" in relation to the people he kills because they are not people. This is the same mentality that drives genocide, wherein the offenders are capable of being perfectly civil to each other, their friends and family, and perfectly capable of following a strict ethical code within this circle. In fact, they sometimes have very rigid moral codes... but think nothing of butchering "non-people" outright.

A "cheater" on the other hand, willingly goes against social conventions in order to prove his superiority to others. In other words, you cheat to win because you desire the accolades of other people, whom you regard as people. If you didn't, you wouldn't care what they said about you, either way.

----

What this means is:

Your common serial killer or fascist dictator is probably less likely to punt people off the track online than Michael Schumacher is. I'm betting Charles Manson would have made a perfectly good race host, to be honest... just turn your earphones off to block out the incessant psychotic ranting...

i used skid recovery force today to gold the sebastian loeb challenge. it took me from being within half a second from gold in the first two and being almost 10seconds behind just merely getting bronze at chamonix; to killing gold by over 5seconds. with SRF all you basically have to just go through the motions. brake turn gas, gas, gas, brake turn gas gold.
so no my gamesave isnt clean anymore. im going to wash myself and my ps3, my DFGT and my LCD with bleach and peroxide. i have known since GT2 that my rally skills are well below average despite loving rally and having a great appreciation for it.
once i have completed GT5 in the sense that all the a spec races and challenges that came originally in the game are completed i will begin to cheat dupe glitch grind and do what ever it takes to collect all my favorite racing cars and super cars in the game. all the $20million cars, the Ferrari F1s, LMPS, group C, the RM cars and any car i havent been awarded in a or b spec. until then i make due with whatever money i and bimbo-bob earn on our way to lvl-40.
