The easiest solution to road rage is to not drive like a pr!ck in front me!

I once got involved in a road rage fight underneath the flyover in the centre of Croydon. It was a long time ago now BTW. Nothing bad, just one of life's exciting little episodes! :sly:

I have life rage.

I rage through life. Long and hard.

Umm, in terms of the original question, I do get unhappy with other people's actions while driving, but I don't know if I would call it road rage.

No kidding, I went to France for a vacation and routinely thought I was going to die while out on the roads. The daredevils and :censored:holes of America have nothing on the people over there.

Thing is, it's really some sort of "Paris issue". We went to Normandy in June and everybody handled their cars perfectly fine. We went to a restaurant that evening and saw 2 cars causing trouble. One driver almost drowned his car in the English channel and the other one ran over a phone booth. Fun part? Both of them had "75" (= Paris) license plates.

As per my subtitle, I 'hunt' down people who leave a lane, try to race down the road and cut back into the lane again, thus trying to jump the queue and then make a right or left turn from the new lane that's about to be start, I use my skills (sometimes manipulating other drivers into the plan) to make sure they get stuck going forward or w/e.

My other goal (a similar scenario) is blocking people who leave it late to change lanes to then go in the new lane forming off of the side of that one, I don't know what is wrong with people's brains but I'm doing my bit to help lol, they'll learn. I'm basically voluntarily teaching driver education.

Local roads are now plagued with people who don't use their indicators, we are working on sorting these people out too.

I can be. I HATE when someone is driving like a complete 🤬 but for the most part i just drive how i drive and if you hate it to damn bad, i have to deal with parking issues on a daily basis at school and if just remain calm and don't worry about time constraints i'm never late and get good spots

I think I'm a lot like most of you guys here. I get annoyed when people do stupid things, but I'm not going to do anything in retaliation. It's not worth it.

I do curse under my breath at what I see though.

I never get angry at the road, it's the drivers that give me rage; the poor road gets all the blame. Asphalt needs love too.

I can't remember the last time I got angry behind the wheel. Maybe once a year, but then something else distracts me.

Nah usually there is no traffic on roads called a toll road if any of you guys know what that is. Cruzin @ 80 mph all the way to the office.

If you don't, you've probably never driven in America.

If you don't, you've probably never driven in America.

Or Italy, or France, or . . . Montreal, or . . .

Used to have a bit of road raging when younger. Learning patience as life goes on helps to up the forgiveness quotient.

This doesn't apply to the B-Spec bots when they tick me off by spinning my car on the last lap. Then I have to restart the race and smash the hell out of them.

I wouldn't say that I have road rage, but I do critique people's driving and yell at them for doing stupid things. :p

I did see a nice case of road rage a couple months ago. A Nissan Altima stopped at the top of an on-ramp to the freeway and some guy got out, reached into the car and grabbed a Gatorade bottle and threw it at the windshield of the car behind him, then got in and sped off.

I definitely get road rage, and I'm not proud of it. My worst road rage is when I'm in a hurry, or trying to enjoy driving quickly on a curvy road and someone is slowing me down inconsiderately.

I don't get upset when someone is being an idiot. I get upset when people are intentionally rude. When someone refuses to use a turnout to let me pass even though they know I want to drive 20 mph faster (because I closed in on them at 20 mph when we met). When someone cuts in at the last second after bypassing a 30 minute line of traffic. ESPECIALLY when that involves slamming on their brakes in a lane that DOESN'T have traffic.

If your motto when you drive is live and let live, you and I will have no problems. If your motto is "I can be an ass and nobody can do anything about it because I'm hidden behind sheet metal", we're probably not going to get along.

Two exceptions to the rule where people can just be oblivious and still piss me off.

1) Taking an on-ramp at 35 mph and putting your left blinker on to merge into 80 mph traffic (with me stuck behind you). Now you're risking both of our lives and the lives of the people cruising on the freeway.

2) Immediately getting into the fast lane and sitting there despite going significantly slower than even the slowest traffic on the road. I can't tell you how many people I've passed in the slow lane while they were trying their best to get into the fast lane.

I need a sometimes option, because there are times when I feel like going crazy.

Miles of space behind me but why not *slowly* cut in front of me

One time it got serious, when I had to go from 2 lanes to one in front of a roundabout, the guy wouldn't let me in between so I let go of the gas to get in behind him.
What does he do: hit the brakes and swerve to the left with my car still halfway next to him. My blood was boiling at that time and signaled him to stop after the roundabout to have a quick chat about what happened back there.
Tough guy agreed and pulled over only to blast off the second my foot got out the door.
Big baby.

I would say no, but i freak out once in a while. Depends on the "smart" move they make and how i wake up that day:indiff:.

I love in Egypt and am only 17 years old (No liscence yet)although the Short time I spent behind the wheel I Probably experienced it more than everybody here Combined.

I wouldn't wish any body driving here even to my worst enemy.

I almost have.. Just last Saturday. There was a road closed for a police investigation so all the 3 of the 2-way roads became a 1-way road. I was among the unluckiest driver. Have to make a U-Turn otherwise all the cars will be coming towards me but this guy refused to give me way. As I made the turn (my Proton Persona has a really bad turning radius) so I have to turn, reverse and turn. Then everybody came to a halt because of some other arrogant drivers...

About a minute later, the Indian guy (the one that refused to give me way) came to the side of my car and smack my window (luckily he didn't crack my window!) telling me I hit his car when reversing. I was like what the hell?!? I have a reverse sensor and it didn't have a long beep to indicate that I was close to the car behind. I went out to see if there are any damage. I wipe my rear bumper and I told him there's no damage done to my car. Any proof? He showed some sort of small tar that sticks on the front bumper on the lower part of it (it was a 2007 Honda Civic Sedan) so when I look back my Persona's rear bumper was higher that the position he showed.

I told him again my car is clean and no paint traded. Then he came up with another idea telling me he felt his car shaken when I was reversing. Well I told him I could say the same if I was you right? He stay quiet, didn't even apologise for wasting my and 'others' time. I just say I feel sorry to you. He quickly get into his car and just drive away.

He almost get me into a rage when he smack my window like I ruined his whole front bumper. Funny if you drive in Malaysia especially when you have to face some idiots like these...

I used to have road rage, but now I just roll my eyes and get on with my life. There's no sense in getting angry unless someone pulls something dangerous. If I have my girlfriend or any other passenger with me and another driver does something reckless then my blood pressure will be more likely to go up. I have protective instincts and in a situation like that, they usually surface as me being pissed off at the other driver.

I get angry when people switch lanes right before an intersection so they can be in the open lane, and then do 0-40 in 45 seconds. :ouch:
It seems like there's a lot of people who speed down where I live, I go five over the speed limit and I frequently get my doors blown off by other cars. These are the 2 things that make me angry.

Experienced it. Had it. Got rid of the latter.

It's a recipe for disaster and can escalate at a high rate into a very unpleasant situation.
Like this?

Same as a lot of you. Curse and swear at all the idiots who directly interfere with my driving. Shake head in disbelief at the idiots I see a few lanes over or a few hundred yards ahead/behind.

The best way to drive me absolutely insanely angry is to honk your horn at me for no good reason.

You really think I can pull out into that gap?!?! It's a Civic not a Gallardo! How can you possibly see from behind me how big the gap is?!?!

I just wanted to kick some idiots head in that was driving a 4x4.

He was honking and yelling at me as I waited for an approaching ambulance to pass.

Why do people who drive these cars(road illegal in my view) act like this?

Here is the road where I was at.
rdrage.png

Yellow lines are road dividers
Light Cyan are lane dividers
Purple arrows are the direction that lane must go
Light green box is the idiot
Green box is my car
Orange triangle is ambulance(4 car lengths behind)
Black is gutter or island.

I was told wait for any emergency vehicle to pass.
If he was infront I can't think what may have happened, and this is why insurance premiums are so high cause of idiots like him.

Wouldn't be surprised if he simply didn't hear it coming. The amount of drivers I see with headphones/earphones/whatevers in their ears is too much. They remain completely oblivious to the world around them. The people who blast music through their car though usually aren't guilty of this.

But I had music on and it may have been a little loud but I still heard the siren.

I put yes, but its mainly because I get ticked off at dumb drivers. I've never rolled down my window and cussed somebody out despite wanting to at times. I feel like a magnet towards terrible drivers at time. I've been hit and backed into in parking lots multiple times because someone doesn't look or thinks I'm invisible. Life is a evil mistress.

Pretty much this, but I don't do it under my breath if my windows are wound up.
