All that....

Now you are turning the original post into a "can of worms" and judging a game based on what it hasnt got rather than basing it on playtesting and experiencing what it has. Im beginning to dislike where this is going and what it all has to do with people like myself that have ordered the "Signature Edition" For me its not whats missing, its whats in the game in how I will base my purchase decision and if I feel the extras and my admiration of the game still hold as much value to me now as they first did when pre-ordering.

(As noted above its Now £20 Cheaper than previously listed so £130)

What you now seem to be doing is your questioning and judging the whole game already without playing it which is wrong. 👎

Games are fundementally about enjoyment and entertainment.
Instead now your chowing over them taking five years and they havnt included all the tracks "you wanted" or features "you wanted". Your ignoring comments I made about how this quite clearly is a landmark title in "console gaming" terms with the level of detail, content, features and technical level it does achieve.

Its like the whole "Damage/Standard Cars" thing all over again.
Firstly they never said they would include all the tracks just like they never said all 1000 cars would have damage or interiors. People moaned and groaned yet instead of thinking well GT5 could of just had 200 Premiums and nothing else and the standard cars were a freebie.

Your current direction of comparing to PC sims is totally pointless.
PS3 is not a PC, its not aimed at the PC market nor indeed serious sims.
Im not stupid enough to waste anymore time on this if your trying now to discredit GT for things it isnt.

Fine that the car/track lists may have some ommisions and I get the fact that some may reconsider their purchase with feeling some degree of dissapointment but thats about it for me.

What have you seen?

LOL.. there are video's on here showing track's being made.

Its good for a bit of extra GT fun, but It won't re-create anything near a real life circuit, or a circuit with any real detail.

Real price £38. you've priced some things that aren't really worth anything.

For me I can't justify $300 Aud for the Sig edition. Especially when I can get a 1/18th SLS AMG for $90 Aud on ebay.

I'll still buy this game because the lists don't upset me that much. Quite some variation in cars, but of course that probably gets lost on alot of member because there is 200 Hondas and Nissans

I priced them how I think they would sell if I put them on ebay and split the "Signature Edition" items.

Id bet some would go for more...

I have played GT5, and had a very good go at it , And to that I will add I was very impressed, And my anticipation for the release game was greatend hugely.

Now I have seen how it is being shipped, im dissapointed.

My reference to pc games, is not actually about the GAME as such ( only in part ).. its about PD are paid to produce GT, and trust me they are paid very well.

On the PC, I was merely stating people who do not get paid sometimes produce content and quality with more proffesionalism and thought than has been shown on GT5....And they do this for free... ill repeat that.. for free just for the love of doing it.

I am very pleased with the features GT has been able to introduce, and I look forward to playing them, I just wish there were more thought about how to use those feature's.

Im not discrediting GT, I am a Fan REALLY... Im not happy with Decisions that have been made about what GT5 is as a final product.

SO I think you may just be misunderstanding some of my posts a little .👍

Wow, I can't believe there would be moaning at this moment in time.

Yes I am also a bit disappointed that the track list is limited but there is a track editor!!

The car list is excellent! True, I won't need 4 different versions of S2000 but they have all those run of the mill cars! That has always been part of the fun with GT.

As for the game I will be getting the SE. This is the game I have been waiting for for ages. I bought a Full HD tv and PS3 just for this. I am a hardcore GT fan. They can squeeze me and I'll gladly pay. And it is not a lost cause either. I am pretty sure if I keep my SE in good condition, I can afford to sell it off later at a good price or not lose much. It is afterall a collectible.

Thing is, there is not other racing game out there that can compare to GT5. None. GT5 has the 'pedigree' factor. It has tons of cars. Track list is good. Great graphics. Great physics. Online Play. Excellent SP mode...

Not happy yet? Maybe should go make a better sim game then. :)

Here's another one who doesn't read previous post's....

Im not misunderstanding you at all.
Youve started talking a load of balls and going on about PC sims and judging the game which sorry you havnt damn well played or played properly in finished form.

I guess no PC sim games have disappointed you then by the way your now going on about things its as if its ruined the whole game... Catch a grip man, a game cant have every single feature to please everyone and once more may I remind you to compare this to every other console racing game this generation as a way it should be compared.

Also your forgetting this is a 4 year old console producing a game that looks better than ANY other racing game even on PC's. Of course PS3 technical limitations aside regards jaggies etc. So those people that are payed well you talk about, I dont think they have been doing that bad of a job at all the past five years. Your actually getting me angry now and using silly words like pathetic. You need to stand back and reconsider.

I suggest you await Rfactor 2 which will have many of its own dissapointing factors by your strict judgemental standards.

Simple answer, no, 2x.

Of couse I still want my CE. More than ever.

Actually Dirt 2 in DX11 looks just as good as GT5 and Hot pursuit due next week will be very close graphically to GT5 with the automatic spoilers that GT 4 has.

Sorry but I did read them all.

I am not saying you should not complain that the track list is not as you expected. Even I think it is a disappointment. I want midfield, red rock valley too!

However, we must remember that this is still going to be the best racing game out there.
To me it is worth to buy the SE. I know there is some tat in there (keychain) but I am happy to pay for it.

If you think a special edition is not worth it because there are not enough tracks, then fair enough. Many others think the same way too. No problems with that.

Oh no...here we go...

Sorry sunny, but yes I have DAMN WELL played GT5... not the whole game but enough to understand its physics engine / graphics etc.

And yes you are missing the point, because your not reading.

I'm not complaining about what's in GT... im happy as hell with whats in GT as far features go.

Im complaining about whats MISSING from GT... and some of the decisions regarding it.

There... do you understand now. :ouch:

The question for me is do I cancel the SE and get the Blue PS3 Bundle, mmmmm?

Ok then so maybe comments like...

Not happy yet? Maybe should go make a better sim game then.

Weren't actually necessary then.... :sly:

I know Play.com is selling a bundle with CE. But not blue PS3.

SE is now 129.99 from GAME which is even better :)
If GAME knew there are suckers like me, they would not have lowered the price!! HAHAHA

At least that is a helpful suggestion. Don't you think?
If it is good enough, I might become a hardcore fan for your game. Charge me 150quid for a special edition. I'll lap it up 👍

Weren't actually necessary then.... :sly:

Why not? I think its a valid point to make , because it seems that no matter what PD do you will always find something wrong with their game. So maybe you can do better than them?

Oh no...here we go...

Sorry sunny,

Sunny, oh you mean Sony, lol.

Look you have been complaining and its the attitude youve taken in how your expressing it. By using terms like pathetic track list. Pathetic, seriously is it that bad? Youve criticised what the PD team have achieved which clearly as YOUR NOT READING is beyond what any other developer in the past "FIVE" years has achieved.

Regards the track list and weather yeah its a bit light particulary with Fuji,Top Gear and Tsukuba not having weather. Still for me its got what is it 13 tracks more than Forza that does have weather so I will gladly take that. Including the working lights, wipers, new audio, physics and damage they went to the bother of adding which you fail to notice on your playtesting.

I think we are done on this.

JUST FOR YOU 👍 ... please try to at least read posts...

LOL.. there are video's on here showing track's being made.

Its good for a bit of extra GT fun, but It won't re-create anything near a real life circuit, or a circuit with any real detail.

Thought so, so all you have seen is the course that was created for the GameStop Turismo Tuesday, right ? Did you even know that you can make proper race tracks ?

Talk about judging a book by it's cover !

It's really not worth while arguing with you.

Edit, you really LOL'd at what I wrote? It wasn't even that funny !

Thank you but I already read that and I still stand by what I said. You develop a game that will be better than GT5 and then we might buy it.

I used pathetic track right at the start, and you even commented saying...I wasn't complaining.

now I am..

And no I havent criticised what they HAVE achieved, Ive criticised what they have left out.

And just because I dont type wipers / lights etc etc i didnt see that on my playtesting... OH PLEASE..

You just want to turn this into an argument against me..

Which is not what this thread is about... GO elsewhere and start an argument.. theres a good lad. 👍

Its the Hong Kong import 220V with CE yes.

Your bringing it on yourself by using an attitude like that.

Seriously, this is a complete waste of characters.................

Yes I would like to have the collectors edition but Gamestop did not have any more so it is standard for me which is just as well. Yes I wish that they had been able to make all cars premium, all tracks from GT4 as well as 30 or 40 others and yes I would like night and day and weather on all of them. I would like cusom rims, liveries, engine swaps and the whole nine yards.

Still I think we have a great game coming our way that will be a lot of fun and we will likely get some more of what we want in GT6 a couple of years down the road. I am just happy that I will have a chance to play what is there at this point.

Im not judging a book by its cover.. I'm going on what has been said by Sony and Kaz..

look on here, you might see it... !!

You will not be able to re-create real life circuits..

I laughed because you have 800 ( ish posts )And your asking me about the track creator... I guessed you would have known already .. not that it was funny.

I definitely wouldn't get the signature edition but where i live, the collectors editions is only $10-$20 (NZD) more expensive than the standard so i think i'll still be sticking with the collectors edition

I pre-ordered a while ago but not the limited edition because the price is just too high and few games, if any, are worth getting a limited edition of.

But, from a different point of view, that all depends on how much free down-loadable content limited edition owners will get compared with having to purchase it individually.

I thought at the start you were being reasonable and were basing the price of the SE to the "individual" issues in some things the game doesnt quite fullfill on.
As I pointed out you wernt the only one to be reconsidering.

However when you start spouting on about how good PD are or unprofessional they are compared to the PC mod scene you are quite frankly taking the topic in the wrong direction and YOU are the one taking it offtopic. You also have stopped being reasonable sometime ago and started on with an unwelcomed attitude.

As others have said you have made your point so then you should decide what to do regards what version of GT5 you buy.
