Well, what type of time travel do you mean?

For whatever reason, I believe you're referring to the 'Back to the Future' type of time travel so I'll base my opinion on that...

I believe that type of time travel is possible for 'humanity' but will not happen within in this 'demension' because we exist now. It seems to me that if someone were to travel back in time, they'd destroy the original path of time (by touching something or simply by existing when shouldn't) and another dimension(s) would then be created based on the changes made... I mean, I think our own existence, for a person of the future travelling to our past, would be erased (I believe time is fickle yet fickle).

However, if it is the case that we are in the path of time created by 'time travel' to the past, then either that traveller never made it back or he made sure to destroy such knowledge because we exist and you are reading this now... well, even if noone's reading this, I say we still exist! Dammit!

So my belief hinges on (among other things) the double fickle nature of time to be both changeable and picky. That it be changeable (new deminsions created based on the 'old' path of time) as well as picky in what can exist in the sense that a 'time line' will end and be erased up to the point when it's past is changed. :sleep:
 
id sure hope so. id love to travel back in time. there are so many possibilities, its mind blowing. i know that i wouldnt do mechanical engineering at uni, id do either some sort of medicen or be a guy that gets shot out of a cannon at the circus.
 
Yes, time travel will be done in the future, mainly by a handful of scientists/Weasel club members in Des Moines Iowa. They don't want us to know they've invented time travel, though, because it would be generally disconcerting to know people from the future are coming back and could start messing with things, so they put on those goofy big-eyed alien suits everyone's seen pictures of.

The scientists generally adhere to an observation-only role, though. Unfortunately, one has two teenage sons--Agamemnon and Menelaus (the ancient Greek names become quite popular in the future, you see)--who occasionally sneak into the BNL-2840 time saucer and like to pull rather twisted practical jokes on people and farm animals.

Voltron, you confused me from the part AFTER "Back to the Future" type time travel. :D
Why would we want to travel back in time? Or Forward for that matter. What if we met ourselves? Or our parents. What if we influenced them getting together? This is one scientific quandry that, IMHO we should leave alone. IMO we should be trying to figure out how to grow food in less space and time. Cause we are beginning to pack this joint pretty tightly.:D
 
We need to learn how to make ourselves invisible, unhearable, and able to walk through ****(so we can't touch things), then go back in time.:p That way we won't screw history and other crap up.:lol:
 
Time travel? Of course it's possible, but not probable. Albert E. defined it and was aware of it's possibility, someone just needs to impliment the idea and make it happen...:eek:

Who will it be? The race is on.....

As for aliens, of course there are....haven't you seen the X-Files?

I'd just invest in plastics at the beginning, and buy them Ferraris.
I'd keep going back for barrels of cheep, hi octane gas.:D

Ok this is how you go back in time.

You travel at the same speed of the earth but in the opposite direction that it spins. How fast do the earth spin like 30,000 mph? I did a report on this when I was in eighth grade. There are many ways. The most logical one that I heard is the wormholes.
Or I could just do like you guys and buy a DeLorean install a Flux Compasitor and hit 88 miles per hour and BOOOM

There's nothing logical about wormholes streetracer...
 
Well from what I reseached it was the most logical way. Many of them were real off the wall. My favorite was if you were to play a bass not so low and loud the vibrations would send you back.

So the wormholes were the most believeable ones outta all of them.
