Is that the Momo Force? I was going to get that wheel because it is belt driven (driving force, and GT force, are gear driven). Belt driven gives a much more realistic feel. I think I am just going to get the Driving Force Pro, as it is also belt driven (I think). ;)

Momo Force. The force feed back is also gear driven. It's the bushings inside that are metal. Not plastic. I had the wheel that was made for GT3 and there is no comparison. It is very smooth.

Hmm......The Momo Force I was looking at, at my local computer shop, was belt driven (says so on the box). Maybe it was a pro version or something. It was $150. How much was your wheel?

Well it was easy to repair, just replace the broken spring to another one. Just after that the wire from the pedals to the wheel broke off. :banghead:
But again I showed my great "talent" and fixed it too, with a new connector. Now it's back in hard playing.

I can just imagine when that wheel is going to break finally.

Yeah, a few days ago i got pissed off and hit the rubber part at the top of the wheel. It made a sick cracking sound, and the rubber sort of popped off at an odd angle. Luckily, it wasn't really broken but just out of place. Being the great handiman that I am :D , I just unscrewed it a bit and popped it back on.

I just looked at the box that mine came in and there is nothing on it that says its belt driven. I does say that it has 6 ball bearings on all rotataing shafts, 270 degrees lock to lock, etc..
I'm almost certain that its not belt driven. The FF motor is attached to the steering shaft with two screws. They sometimes come loose and need to be tightened. I know some people that have done this with their wheels. I will need to check mine soon because I use it a lot. I paid 92.00$ US for mine.

Oh, I see. I guess it was a pro model I saw. Since logitech makes both the Momo Force Pro, and the Driving Force Pro, I wonder if they are the same base design, just with different asthetics. ;)

since i am older than 12...the answer is NO, i don't use a wheel....

besides GT3, i also have a real car....i use that wheel when i want a REAL driving experience....

me i use the driving force (but i hate the only 75% braking) other that that its great. Gonna get the PRO when i get an after school job.

i'm TOOOOOOOOOOOOO faster with the dualshock

maybe you can donate it to me i need another wheel?:D
no seriously i would love to take it of your hands for 15-20 bucks

I was really good with the controller too, and I haven't improved much with the wheel (DFP), but it just makes the game a lot more fun IMO.

It seems a bit difficult... because you are in New york, and I'm in Terrassa... I sell you the wheel (but you come here by plane)===> 50€ xDDD

I'm highly comtemplating getting a Logitech Driving Force Pro, after the disappointment I have with my current wheel.

It's an Interact V3 FX.

It's a nice wheel and all (has the pedals, but no paddle shifters :( ) but it's to hyper sensitive even when I program the new degree into it. I can never seem to find a suitable sensitivity to any racing game I got. It's good thougha s it's compatible with N64 as well (as the PSX and PS2). So I can use it with A LOT of racing games. To bad it's only 180 degrees though :(. I want the 900 degree revolutions!

I mean what a piece of junk. I have to turn it like approx 15 degrees just to do a minute/gradual turn and then it gradually gets sharper as I hold the wheel there. I got majorly ripped off on this POS.

You will find when using the 900 degree wheel , it's just like driving a real race car in the respect that you don't use the full 900 degrees unless correcting your self from an error. When one gets in a corner properly, he doesen't turn the wheel but about a quarter and the same goes for the exit of a turn. Proper entry speed, braking, and small increments of the accelerator are what turns the car. If a car is set up properly the driver usually dont have to turn the wheel past hand over hand.

Dual shock for me.
I used to own a Driving Force wheel but I had nothing to clamp it to and that huge chunk sitting in your crotch wasn't very appealing so I sold it.

Now that I bought a tv tuner card to record drift sessions, I can play GT3 on my monitor at my computer desk. So now that I have a desk to clamp a wheel to, I am considering buying another wheel.

Is the MC2 Universal wheel any good?
Like, is it solid?

That's pretty much all I want is a solid piece that doesn't have any play or jitter.

Logitech is the way to go even if it's just the driving force. We bought 8 of them a couple of years ago at" just deals.com" I think they was only like 30 bucks they may be cheaper now. Don't worry that they refurbished. We still have them and we never had a problem with any of them, and we have logged many hours on them.

The Driving Force Pro gets better every day I own it.

The only thing I have to say is that it's a little wierd. Is it supposed to feel like the bearings are full of sand (when you turn you feel like you're grinding something down)? Also, the wheel seems loose, it wobbles up and down. I can't really notice this during a race, and it doesn't effect me at all, so I guess it's fine... Nevermind, it's awesome, go buy it.

Mr. E, You better be checking that wheel out. I have a force pro and it's pretty smooth with no slop up down or sideways. After reading your post I went and turned mine but No grinding or sand sounds here. I have played quite a few games on mine ( Dirt to Daytona, Nascar2004,Gt3,NFSU and beaten prologue w/all gold) and its still the same.

Welcome to GTP, Slicks!

Hell ya, I use the steering wheel!
I use the Logitech Driving Force Pro ( GT4 Wheel ).
