I'm 50/50 in this one. I liked the idea of bringing British/UK wrestling to WWE (we have William Regal, Sheamus, British Bulldog, etc as an example) and this could be the chance for Magnus to debut in WWE and for Drew Galloway/McIntyre to return to the WWE. This also allows the indie wrestlers from WCPW, or other British wrestling orgs to create some exposure or to get a contract to WWE.
Storyline isn't supporting these matches though. It's hard to get into a match when all the build up has been "look, we have women wrestling" with none of these Women looking stronger at all out of this rivalry since this has just been 50/50 booking city, no one looks good when the person win 3 times only to lose it 3 times later within weeks. If they are having high quality matches (as they are) and are breaking ground never before seen in the Women's division
Do agree on thisYes, it's bad that only two are a focal point thus far, but that was their final match for at least until after WM33.
Hardly, Charlotte is recieving the Seth Rollins problem when he was WWE World Champion. Looked strong on PPVs but was massively booked weak on Raw. Charlotte doesn't look like a threat, nor a clever heel as she stopped doing that.Charlotte will go on to feud with Nia Jax (or Dana Brooke) then Bayley, leading to Bayley defeating Charlotte at WM33 and breaking that streak Charlotte has of never losing title matches at PPV's. It's a massive benefit for the division as a whole in the long term
Judging by how Raw treats the non-Main Women, no Sasha would be completely buried. If it was Smackdown, yeah as they have 2 Women storylines going but Raw just can't be bothered even though they have 3 Hours of programming.Sasha will likely go into a feud with Emmalina or Nia Jax, keeping her in that upper area of the card.
Except it is. Both are being presented as the top two female wrestlers in the world and it's a fight between each other to claim that mantle. And kudos to WWE as they've managed to keep both of them looking strong, by doing the dreaded 50/50 booking (one of the only times it has a benefit). By keeping them both strong, WWE manages to keep a paper thin Women's division on Raw (same story for Smackdown too) packed with championship contenders.Storyline isn't supporting these matches though. Since I've begun watching Raw regularly, I have only seen her lose to Sasha Banks on Raw in title matches. There is probably the odd match in there where she has lost or looked inferior, but in my eyes, nothing to hurt her character.Hardly, Charlotte is recieving the Seth Rollins problem when he was WWE World Champion. The main reason why there hasn't been any other storylines betwen the women is because it's basically been done before. Nia Jax and Bayley have feuded on NXT just recently (and both should stay protected and feud with lesser wrestlers until the time is right) and Alicia Fox, Emmalina and Dana Brooke don't really have anything to fight for. Nor is there any logical way to just start a feud between them for the time being.Judging by how Raw treats the non-Main Women, no Sasha would be completely buried. If it was Smackdown, yeah as they have 2 Women storylines going but Raw just can't be bothered even though they have 3 Hours of programming
I agree in that a little but that was back at Hell in a Cell, this is basically the same build up as Hell in a Cell on repeat, and Hell in a Cell was also promoted as the end. This story has got way too fatigue now with the thing keeping this up is the fact that they are Women. I don't see how 50/50 booking makes any of them looking strong, as it just means whenever they look strong they're just going to get their 🤬 kicked later, completely ruining their momentum.Except it is. I hardly remember any matches Charlotte was in or any matches on Raw where she looked really strong. Also I don't remember Charlotte being in a one-on-one match against anyone other than Sasha (where she keeps losing on Raw) except that one-off with Bayley but Charlotte just keeps feeding her to Nia Jax.Since I've begun watching Raw regularly, I have only seen her lose to Sasha Banks on Raw in title matches. There is probably the odd match in there where she has lost or looked inferior, but in my eyes, nothing to hurt her character.
That was ages ago. Also didn't stop Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn when Sami debutedThe main reason why there hasn't been any other storylines betwen the women is because it's basically been done before. Nia Jax and Bayley have feuded on NXT just recently
Doesn't stop Natalya, Nikki Bella and Carmella. They can throw in a story that can keep the crowd engage if those 3 from Smackdown. Naomi is the only women right now on Smackdown that's floating while on Raw only 2 aren't floatingAlicia Fox, Emmalina and Dana Brooke don't really have anything to fight for.
I do think they need to be bigger but with NXT, it might soon rise, not to mention Paige has finished her suspension. Smackdown has been doing fine with its women and honestly more Women would just mean more struggle to fight for screentime as it is a 2 Hour show and Smackdown already have 2 Women feuds.I believe the main problem here is that WWE has split a small Women's division into two and the lack of depth has hurt them a lot. It'd be wise for the Women to go to Smackdown, and the Cruiserweight's to stay on Raw. I'm not a fan of exclusivity regarding divisions, but until there's more depth, that might be the way to go.
If we look at someone like Alicia Fox who just loses all their feuds, she's always going to look weak and neve benefit from it. But with Sasha and Charlotte, neither one is getting more wins over the other keeping them both strong. This only works because of their match quality. They are putting on some of the best matches on the main roster and to me, that makes the 50/50 booking more tolerable and doesn't hurt either one. And of course Charlotte will get her ass kicked in her feud against Bayley, but that's exactly what needs to happen. Bayley gets the rub of beating Charlotte's streak and we have another contender and champion in the division. And after these past few months, they've made Charlotte and Sasha able to eat a few loses and not hurt their credibility. It's a benefit for all IF it is used correctly by the WWE.I don't see how 50/50 booking makes any of them looking strong, as it just means whenever they look strong they're just going to get their 🤬 kicked later, completely ruining their momentum.
Yes, but it is arguable that feud wasn't dead, and is of such a high quality, that it was fine to see it happen one last time until enough time passes for it to be kickstarted again. Bayley and Nia Jax's rivalry just isn't anywhere near the level of Zayn and Owens'.That was ages ago. Also didn't stop Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn when Sami debuted
Bayley has had feuds with Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox in recent times, they may not be as fleshed out as the Smackdown secondary feuds, but it is still doing Bayley a service of keeping her strong and active.Doesn't stop Natalya, Nikki Bella and Carmella. They can throw in a story that can keep the crowd engage if those 3 from Smackdown. Naomi is the only women right now on Smackdown that's floating while on Raw only 2 aren't floating
Then just switch it so Women on Raw, Cruiserweights on Smackdown. NXT won't get raided for talent as most aren't ready or are too important to let go for now. If the rumours are true, WWE is suppose to be raiding the Indies for talent, so hopefully they are signing a lot of high quality Women wrestlers either to put in NXT or the main roster. Paige will never wrestle for the WWE again with relations at an all time low and her injury holding her back.I do think they need to be bigger but with NXT, it might soon rise, not to mention Paige has finished her suspension. Smackdown has been doing fine with its women and honestly more Women would just mean more struggle to fight for screentime as it is a 2 Hour show and Smackdown already have 2 Women feuds.
Neither benefits from this though, it's way too safe, doesn't elevate either Women.but with Sasha and Charlotte, neither one is getting more wins over the other keeping them both strong. This only works because of their match quality. They are putting on some of the best matches on the main roster and to me, that makes the 50/50 booking more tolerable and doesn't hurt either one.
We don't really know because they didn't try it.Yes, but it is arguable that feud wasn't dead, and is of such a high quality, that it was fine to see it happen one last time until enough time passes for it to be kickstarted again. Bayley and Nia Jax's rivalry just isn't anywhere near the level of Zayn and Owens'.
Haven't developed at all, the feuds have only lasted a month and then Bayley moves on to a different women to a feud with. Especially since the rivalry has been about so many trivial things including boys -_-. There is nothing in these feuds to keep people engage. Lets not forget how weak she looked when Charlotte kept pitting her with Nia Jax.Bayley has had feuds with Dana Brooke and Alicia Fox in recent times, they may not be as fleshed out as the Smackdown secondary feuds, but it is still doing Bayley a service of keeping her strong and active.
Again, roster size is a problem even, I'd say its worse for the Cruiserweights since it would actually be bigger, not to mention unneeded since 205 Live is right after Smackdown because they'd just get in the way of the midcarders of Smackdown, and would ruin the great work The Miz has done to elevate the Intercontinental Championship. Lets be honest, all Women in 1 show wouldn't solve anything, WWE would still treat it the same, just more Women in the shuffle and more Tag Team Women pointless matches, remember all the "variety" and "multiple storylines" the Women division had before the brand split. Then just switch it so Women on Raw, Cruiserweights on Smackdown.
new tag titles, they are basically the same as Smackdown's but have Red leather and not Blue.
