Watched Smackdown, it was good, liked Ellsworth finally being put in his place and Renee Young slapping the Miz, next weeks SD looks good.

The Miz has really been stepping up lately! I've been a fan for a while and I really really hope they let him have another run at some point.

Hi guys, hope you all had a nice Christmas, don't forget Raw is tonight and Smackdown has got a huge show at Madison Square Garden tonight with a triple threat WWE title match involving John Cena, Tag team turmoil match for the titles plus Women's and IC title matches too, and they have a big show tomorrow night too.

So five minutes into Raw last night Steph was giving a promo and there were loud 'CM Punk' chants (this was Chicago) and Steph said 'well if you keep that up for 2 mins and 15 seconds you will last one second longer than he did!' WHHooooaaaaa!!!!

Seriously WWE, turn AJ Styles 🤬 face already.

What also annoys me is how some fans are hypocritical about the whole thing. Some like to complain about heel Steve Austin because "the fans just cheer him anyway" (which in reality hardly anyone ever did, I've been marathoning the Invasion angle with my brother on the WWE Network and most people actually gave Austin a decent amount of Boos so I don't know where the people still liked Austin comes from) but everyone is praising and kissing AJ Styles boots saying he's an "Amazing Heel" yet no one seems to hate him. He could murder someone and people will still cheer for him.

James Ellsworth couldn't even save AJ Styles on being a credible heel because not only did WWE make it last too long for people to be sick of Ellsworth but AJ Styles finally put Ellsworth to rest, WHILE ELLSWORTH WAS A HEEL??!!

I'm really getting sick of the main championship picture on Smackdown, if it wasn't for an interesting Tag Team division, a competent Women's division and The Miz being in the best form of his entire career (this has got to be The Miz's best year ever), I would prefer Raw over Smackdown.

Congrats to American Alpha winning the SD Tag Team Titles.

As for the Miz and Dean Ambrose storyline, the Miz is currenly on a roll. I haven't seen that much good heel performance ever since his WWE title run. I think they should let Miz hold both the WWE and IC title to gain more heel heat for him and to allow AJ to turn face.

I am getting sick of Ellsworth as well. They need to do something to him quick before he gets the "X-Pac heat".

This is where HHH and Vince needs to sign new wrestlers. They need to sign main eventers and start raiding once more even if indie fans will 🤬 them for taking away their favorite wrestler to the WWE. They should call Nakamura, Joe, Aries, and Roode to the main roster.

I think the triple threat match was to test the waters with Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. So they get more main event stars, and I think Randy and Bray could come up when they're finally done with their angle. Smackdown does have potential.

I could see Baron Corbin being the top heel of Smackdown. He actually is not that bad of a wrestler and the heat he draws is great.

I never really liked this argument of "X-Pac heat" as a way to say a bad heel. To me, there is no such thing as bad heat (unless the crowd gets no response whatsoever). Heat is heat, if the person gets heat for just who they are and when they show up, giving them a push IMO is a good move as it draws in crowd reactions.

Far better than what AJ Styles does, who even Ellsworth at his most popular couldn;t give AJ Styles heat.

Eva Marie case and point, nobody wants to see her so she just gets boo'd off the microphone and out of the ring, she's not doing anything heelish just boo'd away.

She still gets a huge ton of heat, she draws in crowd reaction. Her appearance causes a massive disgust from tbe crowd, IMO she could be the top Women heel in the company, the crowd would absolutely hate it but it'll fantastic especially when the crowd will go nuts when a face would finally crush her once abd for all.

Doing something heelish IMO doesn't really constitute as a heel as we have had so many faces that act heelish, Eddie and Ric Flair especially come to mind. Hell it even goes Vice Versa while Rusev has been a heel, most of his actions have face reasoning, for his wife.

Liked Smackdown, congrats to American Alpha (didn't see that title change coming!), whilst i am enjoying the Becky Lynch/Alexa Bliss storyline their matches haven't quite hit the spot yet, they had a great match in Glasgow almost two months ago but since then the tables match and last night was really meh, no surprise about AJ retaining but they booked Corbin strong in that match and i can see him challenging again next year.

Since today is Thursday, does anybody remember New Jack? What do you think of him as a wrestler?

He was someone who didn't know when to call it quits. He was massively loose and caused massive damage to other wrestlers after getting ticked off.

He was way too dangerous to wrestle with post-ECW dsys.

He was too dangerous even if WWE were to go back to Attitude Era. I can recall a few matches he had but all them involved New Jack literally almost murdering them. Remember the Mass Transit incident? There's also one match where he literally stabbed someone. Oh and let's not forget his chair shots. You know I thought steel chair shots to the head was already dangerous the way WWE is doing but New Jack made WWE's version of chairshots to the head look weak.

I'm so glad WWE fired New Jack quickly before he even get his tryout match.

So some news, for the first time since the brand split in the Summer this week's Smackdown beat Raw in the ratings, it wasn't really a massive win in terms of people tuning in, 2.88 mill v 2.85 mill, but for SD its a HUGE win, and its not really surprising to be honest is it?!

So the end of 2016 is upon us, what are your guys highlights and Superstar/Wrestler of the year, AJ Styles is my Superstar of the year just because i think he has had the best debut year of anyone for a long time! notable mentions for Jericho, Ambrose, Owens, Charlotte, Sasha, Miz, Joe and Nakamura.

As for moments, difficult to choose for me but the ones that stood out were Styles debuting at the Rumble, Shane's return to WWE and then nearly killing himself by jumping off the Cell at WM and Owens winning the Universal title after Triple H pedigreed Rollins.

What's stood out for you??

The Miz definitely, this has been his best year by far. He's a fantastic heel who has been pulling great matches and even keeping up with all the "indie-wrestlers" when he competes in matches against them. The Miz and Dolph Zigglers feud IMO is the best feud in the entire year, it made the Intercontinental Championship mean something and both looked really good.

I wouldn't mind Miz having another crack at the Main Event scene, I think he's ready this time.

So there has been a report saying that Vince Mcmahon wants Reigns Vs The Undertaker for WM 33. I swear if that alone doesn't prove what a brainless piece of 🤬🤬 he is i dont know what will.

It's one of several proposed match ups he has for Taker. Others do include Cena and Styles though.

EDIT: So, The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels are being advertised for January 9th's Raw...

Raw tonight with Goldberg returning and a last man standing match between Strowman and Zayn, apparently Paige will be backstage tonight.

It's gonna be a good two weeks for Raw. Goldberg this week, HBK and Taker next week. Looking forward to it.

EDIT- Paige has apparently left the arena now. All she was there for was to update the status of her neck injury.

New year............ SAME OLD 🤬 MATCHES ON RAW :banghead:

I really don't like the direction the Royal Rumble matches have been doing these past few years. The fact they now focus the Royal Rumble match on 1 storyline instead of before when yiu had a tonne of storylines that involved the Rumble or none at all, which makes it exciting,

This years Royal Rumble match might as well just be Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar, nobody else seems to matter in this match.

Yes. That's what I want to happen. Like I said earlier that The Miz deserves either the WWE title or hold both the IC and WWE titles. That way he can get more heel heat and hopefully we get another Angry Miz Girl moment.

For my Superstar of the Year 2016, if only Nakamura was in the main roster, then he could've been my Superstar of the Year but since he's not yet in the main roster, then AJ Styles is my pick.

As for the Moments, I'm tied with Jericho getting thumbtacked by Ambrose back in Extreme Rules, Ellsworth almost winning the WWE title from Styles, and HHH giving Rollins the Pedigree leading to Owens winning the title.

Lastly for the Match of the Year, I hope the Nakamura vs Zayn match will be the MOTY.

What on Earth is this... nice topic to tackle, JBL had some nice points and reasons but Paul Heyman was so unreasonable, pretty much ruining whatever the other guy was going to say before he could speak.

I thought Heyman would be more mature about this.

Really enjoyed the last man standing match last night, the high point of Raw for me, Zayn is such a good seller.

On SD tonight, contract signing between Styles and Cena and IC title match between Miz and Ambrose plus Ziggler v Corbin.

I enjoyed Smackdown, nice surprise from Dolph Ziggler and while I am sad about what happened to Miz, I hope this means he can move on to the main event scene in the future.

I hope the Royal Rumble doesn't determine who'll be champion at Wrestlemania. I always felt that the middle PPV should always be where the champion heading to Wrestlemania is decided while the Royal Rumble determines the No. 1 Contender. I always hate seeing the major title not being defended on PPVs.

I enjoyed Smackdown too, another title change i didn't see coming, Didn't see that coming from Ziggler either, on Talking Smack Miz had another meltdown when Bryan said that he kept giving people shots at his IC title because they were better than him, he then lost it saying that the compmay had it in for him and then walked out.

I saw that meltdown, i was laughing very hard

Btw that Cena/Styles promo was fantastic

That was a brilliant segment, i heard the Alamodome is big, 60,000 seats am i right? Cena and Styles are going tear the roof off that place!

Not to mention when Cena called AJ a "Punk Ass ******"
