I would like to see some more classic italian cars (mixture of road/race) from 60s to the 90s;

Lancia
Lamborghini
Iso
Ferrari
De Tomaso
Maserati
Alfa

I'd love to see the early 70s skyline gtr's made premium (cant beleive ive just asked for more premium skylines lol.... ) and perhaps a Renault 4 for my own amusement.....
The KPGC10 really deserves a 'premium treatment'.

Besides another GTR, they should definitely add more old and iconic cars.

De Tomaso
Yes please!

Oh yes, especially for those 2 brands to be added, and Monteverdi even though it's Swiss instead of Italian.

Seeing as how we have Germany's WWII vehicles (Schwimmy and Kubey), why not include some of America's WWII vehicles like Willys Jeeps and such? Maybe even include a new seasonal event involving completely stock versions of these cars. Also please bring back the Daihatsu Midget I. Loved the little three wheeled bugger.

Just googled it and those are some great looking cars indeed especially the HAI 450 GTS. Really like the design of the late 60s till end 70s, in my opinion the nicest looking cars where designed in this era.

Agree with that, it's a period of clean, crisp styling after the late 50's decadence and before it got a bit messed up during the mid seventies.
Just look at movies of that time, the streets just look so classy and stylish.

Knowing Kaz and PD, they will strive to add "new" old cars as well as upgrade some of the standard gems to premuim status.

With Lancia, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Chevrolet, Shelby, etc dealerships begging for more cars, there are plenty to be found in the standard roster.

Lancia: Stratos, Stratos Rally

Lamborghini: Countach, Countach 25th Anniversary (ADD Diablo)

Jaguar: XJ220, E-TYPE Coupe, XJR-9 LM

Chevrolet: Chevelle 454, Corvette C1, C2, C4

Shelby: '65 GT350R

RUF: CTR Yellow Bird and perhaps the '00 RGT.

That's just a few. Balance is key, though. An old car along with a new car. While an old RUF or two can be made premium, they should also add two of their recent supercars: RGT-8 and the RT12 R. Balance. Same for Lamborghini (ADD Aventador, Gallardo Superleggera) Jaguar (ADD XKR-S) and Chevrolet (ADD ZL-1 Camaro).

There's always need for more cars, but in the end Id prefer brand new ones, over old ones...

I want some old mazdas!! Where are the RX-3's!! I want old roataries!

50's and 60's racing cars, such as Le Mans (LMP and GT classes), Trans-Am (60's would be awesome), F1 (who doesn't want Senna's McLaren, or even older cars from the 50-60's).

GT could use a lot more, although I wouldn't mind a seperate series- Gran Turismo Vintage (or some such), classic vintage race cars on classic vintage tracks.

Nothing said scary like running the Nurburgring before Jackie Stewart's changes helped make it safer.

'57 Plymouth Fury. I think this thread is over :sly:

The XJ220, Countach, Veyron 16.4, CTR Yellow Bird, Stratos, Supra RZ, Corvette C1, C2, C4, Ford GT40 Race Car would all like a word with you ;)

Like I said the Veyron is an exception, I'd agree with the Countach as well since it was only featured in GTPSP, not any console GTs.

XJ220-I love Jaguar, my favourite brand so I'm bias when I'd say I'd like this premium, but still want to see more cars before seeing cars upgraded to premium. Like the XJR-15 which was in older GTs. Or how about the new XJs or the X-Drive would be fun to see too.

Yellow Bird-Why? Get new RUFs before making it premium.

Stratos-I like the Stratos but I'd say there's a number of cars far before this that would need to be made premium.

Supra RZ-Again why? I know the Supra is popular but again there are so many cars that need to be premium before this and still a number of cars that need to be added before cars be made premium, been saying that all along.

C1-No

C2-No

C4-No, to all those because again (this deserves bold red text) why? You try convincing me that those cars out of all the ones you mentioned, are cars that need to be premium?! Those must be some personal favourites there, whereas there are cars that DESERVE premium. Like you said the Veyron is one, which needed to be premium at the start, the Countach too. But old corvettes?! No.

GT40 Race Car-Ok I love this car, and if they wanted to make this premium here's how I'd do it. Make a Ford DLC pack and include maybe the following cars,

Ford GR-1
Ford Shelby Mustang 2013
Ford Mustang Saleen
Ford Mustang GT-R Concept
Ford GT40 Road Car
and in that make the GT40 premium. Now that's all unlikely but that's what I'd do. Doesn't have to be those specific cars either but do something like that. Maybe just release the GT40 Road car and make the Race Car premium with that. Also there is a premium GT40 in GT5.

^There's got to be a balance of new and old. If I go go Jaguar in GT6, I expect the XJ220 but I also expect the XKR-S.

If I go to RUF in GT6, I expect the CTR Yellow Bird plus the new RGT-8.

If I go to Ford, I expect a new and old Mustang Boss 302.

That's just my expectations. Balance, baby.

Forza has a much broader selection of classics, and I still don't think that's enough.

If I'm honest, though, not much more will be added to GT5. For shame..

I'd like it if there were more variety. I don't see why we need 40 million "different" Skyline R34s or 25,000 "different" NASCAR vehicles when we don't even have all the generations of Corollas in the game (highest selling car worldwide in history) and completely missing other models (i.e. Nissan Versa). It would be nice to see/feel the progression through the various generations of models, extremely unique cars from various generations, etc.

When the paint scheme, rims, aero parts, etc. is/are the only difference(s), it shouldn't be a completely new model; those parts should be options in the part shop.

In short: Yes. Anywhere from the '30s - '80s there needs to be more of, in my opinion.

The most important things on this is to have GROUP of cars of particular kind and era + adequate track to have competitive and harmonic races and all around best experience. I can clearly see here one BIG missed oportunity, because pack of one of those car groups with adequate track is the best DLC pack that could be seen in GT5.

- Group of 50's premium american cruisers like Buick Roadmaster, Mercury Monterey, Cadillac Eldorado, Chevrolet Bel Air + new point to point track on american west coast highway (or some interesting part of Route 66) with weather and time change

- Group of 60's premium classic Ferraris, Alfas, Mercedes, Jaguars etc. + new point to point Targa Florio track, time and weather change

- Group of 70's premium F1's + PAU historic track, time and weather change

- Group of 80's premium DTM's like BMW M3 E30, BMW 635CSi, Audi V8, Jaguar XJ racing, Mercedes 190EVO, Alfa Romeo 155 with several different decals + Hockenheim track with old and new layout, time and weather change

- Group of 80's premium australian V8 racing cars + Bathurst (Mt. Panorama) track

- Group of modern premium F1's from few last years + Abu Dhabí Yas Marina / Instanbul / Imola track

Combine CorvetteConquers' idea of balance and RedBarons' Idea of competitive fields and you get the ideal car lineup. A Sting Ray 427 is just as relevant and enjoyable as a brand new ZR/1. But what good is it without proper competition? I hope for balance between Regions, makes, models and eras with enough cars of a given type/performance for a decent race. That said, I wouldn't want a lesser variation of a car chosen just to make it competitive. And I appreciate the difficulty Polyphony Digital faces in picking the car list.

I want to add that it's very easy to criticize PD's premium lineup so far, but I do give them credit. They only had 250 to choose and I think they did a good job. Id give them a B.

But in regard to the next GT game. They have to keep with the times and also remember some of the legends. As mentioned in my previous posts, that's how PD can keep the car list from having as many holes. If PD focuses ONLY on newer cars, there will exist holes in the car list. If PD focuses ONLY on older cars, then there will be huge holes in their list.

At this point, I think it's all about minimizing the appearances of holes. RedBaron and I made this clear! Good post.

BMW E30 M3 AC Schnitzer, Audi S2, and more Euros from 80-90's

I just want a first generation RX-7 (the US spec GSL-SE preferably, the best of the breed) and my namesake, the Eunos Cosmo. That's it PD.

I'd like to see some more 'everyday' cars.
Though no Ford KA, everytime I see that car I want to gouge my eyes out with one of those KFC fork/spoon hybrid things.

I want old BMW's and also some classic Japanese. Thats it :sly: 👍

Sure, why not. I'm old. Older than most old cars in GT5.

Seems like there was some interest in racing the oldies many months ago but aside from a couple online events, not much organized vintage racing going on anymore. Doubt there's much planning of oldies for DLC, seems like the focus is on new models.

I've just noticed the lack of Saab cars! And now feel a bit surprised ... so yes more classic cars, including normal classics like the Saab 95 / 96 / 99 turbo / 900 Turbo 16S etc

But ... even if you could choose 2,000 cars, I'm sure most other players could mention another 1,000 that should have been included instead

If you're talking about old European and American cars from the 60's, 70's and 80's then yes. Old Japanese cars, no, there's enough already.

Older Race cars were much much more exciting/scary in general, both to race and watch. Watch Jim Clark driving the Lotus Cortina with one front wheel in the air at the corners, 80s touring cars sliding the back end out of those massively powerfull machines as soon as the throttle was touched, how the cars twitched and slid around the circuits. 70s RWD Rally cars sliding everywhere, the Group B cars that would of qualified mid grid for an F1 race!!!

Almost every car was raced as well. These days in the bigger championships they are limited to expensive sports cars, Saloons far removed from the road going examples. Just look at BTCC, twenty years ago almost every manufacturer was represented, now it's very, very few. It reflects the changes in the motoring world, safety regulations, emissions regulations and several other factors (probably most notably the cost) means racing isn't as competitive as it once was.

Homologation cars aren't produced like they once were either, with most series not requiring them.

Vintage formula cars would be a great addition in my opinion.

A Premium Lamborghini Diablo would be a terrific adittion to GT5's line up :)

Other notable old cars would be:

-Bugatti EB110
-Aston Martin DB6
-Pontiac GTO "The Judge"
-Plumouth Road Runner

:)👍

Nope.
Needs more new cars, and recent cars.
