I have had enough with this. I was in a 9 hour B-spec enduro race with an hour and a half to go and the game froze. I'm not a happy bunny at all. Anyone else had this?👎:yuck::grumpy::ouch::sick:

Hasn't happened to me yet.

But what annoys me is when I turn my PS3 on before I leave for work to spend the day grinding away at remote races only to have the PS3 randomly sign out of PSN within the first few races.

Fair enough. I'm gonna try again today but when it gets half way, i'm gonna save it and back up the save file so I don't have to start from the beginning again

Can you save B-Spec races part way through?

Don't you hate it when people create threads solely for the purpose of ranting? Maybe I should make a thread on that đź’ˇ.

If it's any consolation, it happens less often if you have custom soundtracks turned off. If you aren't going to be paying any attention to the race anyway...

Was that a hint hint for this thread?

Obviously it was. I do pay attention to the race as well as the music I listen too. Is that the cause of it then?

How do I do that?

Its in the game options, at the bottom, in Network options.

It may take a few minutes, especially if you play online or do Seasonal events a lot.

I've never had a game freeze in the middle of a race. It would usually freeze during loading.

BTW, That would suck lol

Dont you hate it when people rant in threads they dont like because the OP is accused of having a rant !! Maybe you could create a thread on that, while your creating a thread on the ranting itself !!

Just a thought :dopey:

Oh, and OT, yes very frustrating......

Hell no. I love when people do that! :sly:
I must get to work on those threads immidiately!

The only thing I could think of to help you out is to make sure your PS3 doesn't over heat. If the game freeze because the PS3 is getting hot you should be happy you still have a PS3.

Dust is the killer to air flow and that will affect how fast the PS3 is getting hot, and doing race graphics for 9 hours could be hard if your PS3 can't ventilate. I remember when I did those endurance, my old PS3 fatty started to make insane fan noise because it started to get hot. To finish off the race I added more air (opened up a window and started a fan in the room to make sure the air the PS3 got in wasn't the hot air it wented out)
Later I opened the PS3 and found it was full of dust, removed it and it still works like a dream.
I also figured out the old fatty had better airflow and cooling when standing upright as the curve in the top cover works like a air trap.

The newer slim version I found had better air flow and cooling when putting something under it that was smaller than the PS3 itself. I lated added a laptop cooler to my slim and it never gets hot.

I still have to make sure to remove all the dust that easily blocks the went holes though.

Great advice. Good post.

The 9 hour race is abit glitchy anyways in A spec you can be drving to fast to the pit line and if you hit the wall hard it sends the car onto autopilot then it runs out of juice and your doing 50mph lol

The only thing that has really annoyed me was when I had the 24 Hr Nurburgring B-Spec race set up and around the 18 hour mark, a 6.0 earthquake hit (this was on 23rd December last year) and our power went out for a few hours. Had to restart the whole race when we got it back. This would have been unacceptable if I were doing the A-Spec race and forgot to suspend it.
