In the latest Game of our beloved GT-series, as you all know there will be a new kind of racing included, DragRacing.....
But.........

WILL YOU LIKE IT???? (as far as you know about it)

Hell yes!been waiting for this mode for ages!(They said it would hit GT2,but it didn´t)then they said possible GT3 will feature Drag Racing(And we all know it didn´t)so this time i hope it will make it in the game!

I think it's great they added Drag Racing. It's just another way to extend the gameplay, which is always good. Unless you want to get 100% and you absolutely hate drag racing. Races in real life aren't always based on how fast a car can corner, there is more to it. Nice to see PD aknlowledges that. Just a great addition to the game, just like drifting events.

There wasn't really an option appropriate for me. I am totally ignorant of drag racing, but expect I will give it a go.

I would have ticked the second option, but then I won't ever complete the game because I can't be arsed. BUt gold licenses I will do because they are fun.

I think it's good thing. Now we can beat American cars with European or Japanese cars in drag race!
Keep dreaming! :dopey: :sly:

I think it's great. Beats going to test track and racing your friends at the 10 second mark after lining up at the line.

Its definitely going to be enjoyable. I just cant wait to pull up the '70 Chevelle SS against a lame Civic or Integra. Definitely worth the price of admission.
James-

Does this mean the 400m and 1000m (1km) Test Track option won't be available??? I used to use those times and change gear ratio's so the car was faster over both... it was handy to 'tune' cars for certain tracks...

I actually don't think they're going to leave out the testtrack. Just like you mentioned, it is a great please to change gearratio's and to test it out....

I'm with you, King. There's nothing like the feeling of a Boss 427 or a GTO just spanking a Civic or CRX. 👍

what the **** are you thinking......" o yeah we're going to outrun cars with 1.6 and 1.8l engines with our almighty 5.7l V8 small-block..........oooh that's just soo cool!!!...............................NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Lancia Delta S4
(Italian)
(Italy is in Europe)
- 0-100 km/h (~62 mph) in 2.3 seconds
- 0-200 km/h just under 6 seconds
- 400+ hp,
- 4WD
- mid-engine

For example Shelby gt500
- 0-100 km/h ~6 seconds

Yeah bye bye muscle cars!

Drag racing will be great fun. On thing I'm not sure of, will you race the clock or depending on what car and power you choose will the game auto pick an AI rival?
Can anyone shed any light on this??

Oh, you must have a size problem. Are you just not measuring up?

Both the Boss 429 and the GTO are big blocks, not small.

There probably won't be wheelies, because in previous games, getting a wheelie required special settings, and a very high horsepower car at a very high speed.

big block, small block........who cares.........it's still a big difference!

Th point is that ALOT of people that have civics (bone stock of course, but have a huge wing and neon lights!) think their cars are too fast and too furious.

I am sorta curious what a RUF CTR yellowbird can do off the line though and the 1/4 mile....

but otherwise I'll probably look drag racing in GT4 it the same way I do the 10+ lap test course races in GT3...with a mix of annoyance, grumbling and the reality that I just have to sit down and force myself to do it.

Such as a drag car? ;)
