Ok so I don't know what to do when I get this game. Should I do a drift or grip which is better?
i think 'grip' is a silly term all together. what separates 'grip' from regular driving
drift is allways slower
i don't know but i think in u turn drift is faster :S

I'd go for drift since it's the fastest way... when grip's too low.
If the car just sticks to the road, drifting is just pointless.
Staying within the tires limits is always faster. Drift is not the fastest way ever.
Depends on the track really. When it's touge then I'd definitely smoke 'em. When it's a high-speed course I would maintain speed by gripping.
There is no (paved) track in GT5 where drifting is faster. The hairpin at Monaco and the hairpin at Madrid are the only corners where it might make sense to throw a car sideways, and even then only if your in some **** car that won't turn otherwise.
Use racing soft tires for grip when cornering, use sport hard tires when you want to drift.
2nd bit is wrong. When you want to drift you use comfort hard tires.
Except you can't drift, uMadsonremember yesterday with the Aristos or wtv it was on Fuji?

Me, I drift when the car lets go rather than correct it, but if otherwise, I just leave the tyres to do their thing.
