Sooooo....... a REALY long time ago I said I'd post a vidoe here.........
well here it is:I know it's late, but better late than never eh?

The new V5 tire model makes it a little less difficult to try to drift for poeple like me whom suck at drifting.

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere but it feels like I've searched the entirety of Google and couldn't find an answer. Since AC is coming to consoles in a few months I was wondering if you can drift without mods. I really don't feel like building a PC just to have mods and drift, and I know there are drifting mods for AC but do I need them to drift? Can't easily mod the PS4 so if I could avoid that I'd be glad. Thanks in advance for any answers.

You won't need mods to drift. There are a couple drift spec cars, like the E30, but you can drift pretty much any car that's RWD. Mods are only for additional cars and tracks. Mods might make things more fun, but drifting is definitely possible without them.

Thank you. I'll definitely be getting AC when it comes to PS4 then.

It depends on what kind of drifting you are into. If you like competition style with big angle and lots of power to link up all the corners on a track, then you have nothing in AC official car line up. The E30 comes close but is more like a street drift car spec, it's lots of fun to drift, but many people don't like it because it doesn't have enough power for them.

There's two other official cars with "drift" versions, the BMW E92 M3 and z4, but they are not great for drifting, with just extra steering lock. The z4 still has flappy paddles on the drift version so it's pretty much never used. The E92 has a lot of grip and is not easy to keep drifting on the higher speed tracks.

If you're happy just going sideways every now and then while driving, then pretty much any RWD car in AC can do that.
