It sure is. So very fun, also.

I have found these cars to be great drifters:
RX-8
R33 LM Road Car
Mustang Cobra R
Supra
And, surprisingly, the Mini. You just have to use the handbrake.

AE86 Trueno (Shigeno Version) all the way!besides..the handbrake is for Rally Drifting and amatuer drifting :p ,I brake drift!hehe :D

P.S. oh yeah, forgot to mention some of my best drifting cars

1.Sprinter GT-APEX Trueno (Shigeno Version or original)
2. RX-7 Infiniti III Savanna (FC)
3. BMW 328 Ci
4. Spoon Civic (it's kinda hard,but with the right settings,such as mine,hehe,it's possible ^_^)
5. Supra Type RS (I think ^_^)
6. C-West Razo Silvia
7. Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (R32)
8. Lexus IS
9. MR2 G-Unlimited (SW20)
10. 787B (only able to do it in the championships though, when the tires get reeeeally worn out..that's the only way I can drive my 787B ^_^)

I spent close to 4 hours yesteday learning how to drift the correct way (no hand brake) and i love doing it now. Its fun showing off my replays to my friends :). Im curious to know, what type of settings are you using on the Cobra R? I havent been able to get this car to drift well for me (too much power i think).

That's why each day we convert 2-3 ppl to our massive drifting armies...

Actually, handbrake is needed for some cars (stupid pieceacrap SirII, tired of trying to make it drift w/o e-brake), especially FF's.
I'll make a list 2. Oh yeah, it's RZ, not RS.

1)RX-7 FC3S (also my favorite car.)
2)Sprinter Trueno SS
3)Civic SiRII
4)Lancer Evo VI Tommi Makinen
5)S-14

yeah,I checked after I had posted that Spidey and you may be right on usin' the E-Brake for FF drive cars,or midship engined as well (such as F1's),but please don't use the E-Brake with a Front Wheel drive car, that's just sick..unless you're an amatuer or rally racing with it ^_^

it's suggested that u use E-Brake while doing drifts (especially long ones) in FF cars. It's needed because u have nothing else to cause loss of traction to the rear of the car while in a drift. A normal brake just slows u down way too much.

funny.......
i can often break the FF traction when i do fients..... hmmmm
what i did was like..... turn let gas go then turn other way jab on way.... you keep swaying back n forth n eventually you'll loose the traction on it.....

oh and btw, if you use simmy tires on the cobra, it might help a lil... cuz simmy has least grip of all.... although i doubt that your not using em already, but just at tip :p

Ahem!

Drift thread, sticky at the top of the bloomin page lets not make another big thread about duriftoing!

Anyway, tee hee my Mitsu FT0 is has so much oversteer dialed in to it that it doesnt drive in a straight line very well. Although its a superb drifter and I like the quite toruqey V6 engine.

Dont worry youl get to see it in action in my video.

i was talkin about drifts like the big loop ones in Complex String. Those kind of turns u need to use e-brake to continue drift cuz eventually you'll regain traction.

well...if you're usin' the FF vehicles or Midship (some) cars, then you'd have to use the E-Brake to initiate the drift..well,to keep it going long enough anyways..but with a regular FR vehicle, such as my Trueno, then I just like to use my brake, but hey..hehe,I just use the brake to initiate the drift, but I guess that's cause I'm so used to initiating the drift with the brake on not the E-Brake,but anyways...I just don't like to use the E-Brake on FR cars...they spin out waaaaaay too easily, lol

AE86Driver

true that......... FR vehicles spin out very easily when you use the ebrake
Not really. :)

No e-brake needed there. :) The final increasing-radius sweeper at Complex requires a car with pretty good power and good line control, but you can do it without the e-brake.

I only use the handbrake to extend a drift started long before a turn. Looks majorly cool in replays being 90 degrees sideways a few hundred feet before the turn starts. :D

eh,well...since this IS comin' from the GranDorifto Master, then I'd have to agree somewhat, but I still think FR vehicles spin out way too easily with the use of the E-Brake,but maybe that's just my settings ^_^

he finally talks! lol
anyway, did u read my earlier post? I was talkin about using the e-brake on FF cars at turns like the big loops on Complex String. I don't think there is a possible way to perform a long drift without E-Brake on FF cars.

Unless i'm wrong.......=(

I don't know Ting..you give Cudaman a couple of hours with a Civic or somethin,I bet he could pull it off without the E-Brake ^_^,his skills really are amazing =D!

AE86Driver

bah, fine then...do not listen to Cudaman, although his experience may be far more fetched than yours,I think he could drift on the Complex String with an FF vehicle without using the E-Brake,oh..but of course THAT'S JUST MY OPINON! have a nice day
