Driver 3

Reviewers don't get Driver games. They don't care much for the awesome physics or the spirit of the game. they just look for production values, mulitplayer and gimmicks most of the time. Thats why the fools rated stuntman so terrible.

Picked up my copy of Driv3r yesterday and I have to say I'm very impressed. Only played it for about an hour, and was mainly just driving around. One feature I found impressive was when you drive the truck you can hitch a trailer on the back and then when you have the PO-lice on your tail you can unhook the trailer and watch them plough into it. Also went into a few bars and found one secret car.Cant wait to carry on with the game.

I got the call from one of our local EB stores that my copy was in today. I was very surprised and elated because i totally forgot about it. So i picked it up but only played for a little while, maybe an hour, cause i have a paper due thursday for class, anyways, the graphics are good. Physics are good, so far. I'm still pissed that telephone and power polls don't go down. And i hit a bush and it was like hitting a brick wall! what's up with that? Anyways, i like the health meter. Very realistic. Now you get hurt in your car when you hit things or the cops shoot at you. Very cool. Looks like this game has great potential. and i really hope that 70% of the game is NOT on foot. That would kinda defeat the purpose of it being a DRIVER game.................we'll see soon enough.

Games is awesome, the reviews suck.
Agree ;) 👍

This is the best game that I played for a long time ago!
This owns. Me and my friend played the undercover mode
and we are almost in Istanbul rigth now.

Damn this game is the pwnage! My friend (Cosmic) bought it on the realease day and we haven't stop playing it since 👍

this game is 👎. I rented it and now I want my $6 back!. The game has such sluggish controls. The analog controls feel like digital when driving and you have to fight to stay in control of the car! I also miss running over street lights like in VC. you might be 10 seconds away from finishing a mission, but hit a street light and have to do the mission all over again. Another thing I dont like is if you use custom music and you start a mission, the same song you were on before you started the mission plays again from the beginning! I heard the beginning to Faint like ten times on a row! Plus, It drowns out the engine sounds, too!

I decided to just skip the missions and just do take a ride mode. I found the hidden Ford GT, though. True Crime: Streets of LA was better. GTA3 and VC are even better than that.

Hey , it's only in your opinion ;) Many other people who play driv3r like it. Maybe it's not the best game but it's awesome (like the huge cities and the cars).

Just got it yesterday...

It's awsome. A lot more realistic than GTA and better graphics. Some downsides are the view system, it's hard to even walk around since you have to move the view to walk in that direction. Aiming, ahh I can't aim worth a damn. The auto-aim is too minimal so you have to aim correctly. Even with the view sensitivity at 100 it's kinda hard. I haven't gotten far in the game, like 2 missions done, because I find the take a ride a lot of fun. I just drive around and look for the hidden things, I've found the GT and in Nice the roadster coupe thing. I'm surprized that all of the cars in the game seem to be RWD. Even the ones in Nice that in real life would be FWD.
Anyhoo so I think this game is better than GTA. Well worth the $50.

I was going to buy it but I ended up spending the $80 on yet another Linux reference guide :).

I'll download it in a week or two. Whenever I stop being so lazy.

When using custom music in free ride, every time you die or start over, it restarts form the beginning. There is no jukebox controls, so you can't skip songs or shuffle them. You also have to quit the game everytime you want to change the soundtrack. It's more of an annoyance than a problem.

I've already learned how to aim (duh)
All you have to do is to stand behind a wall and slowly move outwards until the aim tuns red.
The enemies still don't shoot at you.
Piece of cake (:
