Driver 3

Are the physics the same as stuntman, i didnt like the sluggish feel of stuntman. Is there enough going for this to keep it going or is there not much to do once youve finished it? 2player?

The controls do feel sluggish. When steering, the analog stick feels like the control pad. It's not as presice as GT3.

I have a question for the owners of this game out there. Ok, here go's, you know in 2 player mode in Driver 2 where you could take a ride but only in a selected part of town, and there was no traffic or anything? In driv3r, in the multiplayer mode can you drive all over town and with cars and everthing or is it still the same as Driver 2?

I think the game is pretty cool 👍
Car control could be better whilst cornering :yuck: but It will do I suppose :) my youngest lad Bradley thought he was onto a good thing by diving into the ocean to escape from the cops :D ... until he noticed the cops had dived in also and swimming after him

Should be a decent time filler for a short while 👍

It's in Miami in the South-Western corner, just next to the Biltmore Hotel. There's some bushes around there and there should be an entrance with a tunnel.
Just follow the tunnel, get out of your car (when you reach the area with the closed gate) and go up the stairs. Go inside, kill Timmy, and press the switch. Now go through the gate and follow the other tunnel and then it shouldn't be too hard to find the racetrack. The Go-kart is in the pit-stop if the racetrack. ;)

OK, I got it can't get past the like 5th mission.(the missions are really short.) I'll have to say i'm still not satisfied with the cop AI. They still shoot at you for speeding.:banghead:

Can anybody tell me please? Not meaning to sound persistent, but I would really like to know. Thanks.

I really want to buy this game, ive heard plenty of good things about it and i've heard more bad things like it being almost unfinished. So can someone who owns the game tell me out of ten what you give and why? Thanks.

Before I start my rant, I'd like to let you know that I rented it on XBox.

[rant]Well I haven't played through singleplayer, but I can tell how it will be like going through single player. The missions I did were very lackluster and I had no idea why I was doing them. The worst part about this game IMO is the controls. The control scheme isn't bad, but they're unbeleivably sluggish. Even with the look sensitivity at 100, the crosshairs crawl across the screen. If you've ever played Halo, a look sensitivy in DRIV3R of 100 is equal to about look sensitivity of 2 in Halo (1 below normal). On a related note, auto-aim doesn't work, either. Also, when driving, the control stick is too sensitive. It feels like your using the digital pad. You have to stay in control if you need to dodge traffic. Also, the main character is stupid. You tell him top enter a car and he sometimes just doesn't do it. On a few occasions, I told him to enter a car that I was using and he just starts running into it like he's trying to get to the other door! There is a usable door (an open, usable door, mind you) on the side he's on! That really annoyed me. Also, the guy jumps like a p*ssy and can only jump over walls <1 ft high..

The best part of the game is the graphics. The cars look better than Vice City's cars, but there are fewer of them. The cities don't look all that bad, either. My favorite part of this game is the blowing up cars. The blow up in a fireball, which rips the car to shreds. What's great is that the wreckage actually stays there until you leave the vicinity of the "accident." Also, the wreckage varies from each car. The car actually breaks up into pieces. If you find the part of the car where the driver seat was, you can actually sit in it! :dopey: Can't go anywhere, though, since the engine is 100 feet away!

A few more pet peeves, cops chase you for no reason and are dumba$$es, there is the occasional glitch, cars have very slow top speeds, the ford GT is as fast as a crotch rocket, and they crawl past normal traffic, and using custom music (XBox only, obviously). The soundtrack resets each time you die/quit game/start mission/restart mission. e.g., if Faint is your first song in the soundtrack, you'll listen to it a lot. Plus, in order to change the soundtrack, you have to go to the main menu. [/rant]

6/10

Graphics as good as stuntman
Cop AI sucks a$$, They still shoot and try to kill you for so many minor felonies(sp?).
I'll have to agree it's frustrating knowing you can jump a wall or climb it and you can't in the game...:banghead:
Missions to me are damn near impossible(mission where you have to take a V-8 back to a gang without it getting wrecked with a psychopath on your a** trying to ram you into a big rig!:banghead:

6/10:grumpy:

Well, some of the missions are like mini missions. Like you get to a place that's all you do and bam! Mission done then there is another mission when they should be all one mission...:odd: But i'm still in Miami.:( Your in Istanbul? Isn't that the same place where he gets killed in the movie?

He doesn't get killed , you will see after you completed all missions. I know the whole story. It's pretty good 👍

Yeah and its the best game ever

Now that one i certainly have to agree on! :D

Also, ive played Driver3 and its definately worth buying, but, if your not sure ide rent it first instead of buying it and a week later trading it in and geting in store credit of like 10 bucks lol :scared:

If I could describe Driver 3 with one word, I would say "unfinished."

How come I have more fun driving around in Take a Ride mode than playing through the game? Driver 3 feels like a GTA wannabe and it has no problem making fun of it.

Read the Gamespot review

Save your money, don't buy Driver 3, rent it.

Anyone want a slightly used copy of Driver 3? $40 (includes crappy Atari stickers). :indiff:

This is probably one game that I'll wait for to come down in price. If what some of the reviews I've read is true, it suffers from what made Driver 2 such a poor title...lack of polish. Either they rushed this title out of the door or they development team uses a bunch of lackluster game testers or programmers that don't care.

And honestly, I certainly don't care if they're trying to be a GTA clone. I think we can all agree that there are worse games out there that the Driver series could choose to emulate.

Thanks for telling me the ending. 👎 Just joking. Was he on the flatline then got revived? Now that you told me he didn't die you might as well tell me how he lives.

I just rented the game today. And I must say. This game owns Vice City.

Just, What year does this take in? 1990?

But going a ramages, then jumping the car in the water, then swimming out, and going on more ramages rule.
