Well, I got a DS Lite from my parents as a vacation gift.
And it is AWESOME.
The screen are a lot brighter, a lot brighter. The casing looks a ton better, and it'll go great with my Mac. Plus, it's lighter and more portable. The stylus is better, and the position, and overall, it's better.
I think my only complaints are that the D-pad isn't as precise. It's great for side scrolling games like New Super Mario Brothers, but for other games like Animal Crossing, that's not side-scrolling but open platform, you can only easily go up, down, left, and right. Going in diagonal directions isn't nearly as easy as on the normal DS, and so you have to rely on the touch screen for moving wherever you please. However, it's a minor setback.
That said, the brighter screens, the better looks, and the better everything garners the extra $70 (assuming you trade in your old DS at GameStop for a new one), unless you hardly ever play your current DS.
Now, with Datel's DS attachment that lets you play movies and music, and view photos, etc. (a 2 GB attachment is $120). And with that, I present to you, the PSP Killer.
And that's my thoughts of my new DS.
