Yes, it's here, the 34 race DTM tournament, this thread will contain everything you need to know about round 3.​



Test Course.​
No Qualification​
Race - 4 Laps​



Before Race Rules​

Transmission Top Speed setting may be altered
You may use Racing Super Soft Tires for Qualifying only
​



Qualification Rules - Ignore these for round 7.​

Racing Super Soft Ties may be used.
There is not limit to how many qualification laps you run, but please PM me your race and qualification lap in at the same time.
Rumble strips are part of the track.
Please do not use any cheat devices while qualifing or racing.

Race Rules​

Please run only the given amount of laps.
If you ever go off the track, return to the course but add 2 seconds to your overall race time.

After Race Rules​

Please only PM me your times in between the given dates unless you have a reason (holiday etc.).
Don't argue about your qualifing position or race result, if anything seems suspicious, I will take care of it.​

no qualification? yet the thread is set up like we will qualify which one? and are we using a mandatory pit stop if we are please add that to the race rules
 
No motivation this week, the Audi with new settings is still 1.7 seconds a lap (7 seconds on 4 laps) slower then the Astra. Not bitchin but like I say not much to motivate. No way to win , cause a slower car just can't win on the Test Course, no driver is that much better then any other driver here.

Nobody has as much oval experience as me. (I've been playing NASCAR simulators most of my life)
 
Just a thought here George
If the results of this race are out of whack, ie... over a sec difference between first and last place.... it would seem that there is a need for further adjustments to bring the cars to equity.

Seeing how this race is on the test course, I know what my car will run on it's own around the track and won't be real thrilled to find that I'm running behind the others :(

TS..you're 15 years old, some of us have been out of real life racing for longer then you've been alive. Ahh, to be a teenager again.:)

I've spent about 10 of those years playing NASCAR sims, I'm not so sure of what I can do in reality, but I am good with those sims.
 
Racefan's final lap time is faster than CCX's, CCX drives an Astra.

(Maybe I shouldn't of said that :lol:).

You can still draft off the AI to try win, I only beat the lead AI by a couple tenths, if you can keep to his slip stream you have every chance of winning!
 
i wont tell you how i got my times becuase of what geogre just said but once the race placements come up i will tell you my secret(or not so secret if you think about it)
 
Hey George, since we're running RSS's this week, can the AI's run RSS's?

Actually I did it 4 times!

Only 8 mins and small change per race.

we'll see how things panned out in 5 days!

EDIT: Anyone know anything on this (avatar) 1947 Triumph Speed Twin 3 ? Any info appreciated. I'm thinking of buying one i saw, totally restored. Would use mainly for showing...but I will ride it occasionally.
 
I don't know if it's just me but I have a few more time submissions than ususal :).

Even with drafting, there shouldn't be that great of a spread.
