I didn't know that anyone could get into E3 now, a few years ago wasn't it only open to those who were working in the video game industry? I live like an hour and 30 from where E3 is being held.
To the press conference you mean?
I know its not a lot of money that people would be giving but, whoever was recieving the money would need to go no matter what wouldn't they. I mean like no matter how much was raised, or can the money be refunded if he doesn't go?
Possibly a poll with $ ranges e.g a) $1-5, b) $5-10 would be handy before we really get into it so not only do we roughly know how many people are keen but also roughly how much money will be raised as i think a refund policy would just be a pain in the ass for the guys organizing it! lol
Also, don't forget that if we want more hands on with a GT Demo, there is a PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) named 'PAX Prime' up in Seattle on Labor Day Weekend which I plan on attending. So I can give some insight there as well.

Well ifJordan decides he wants to go theres several solutions, if we fall short on donations.
1) He goes anyways, and pays the rest himself if possible
2) He doesnt go, and use the raised money for the site, and perhaps make some sort of competition with the ones donating.
About price ranging, last time i did a thing like this is way way back for another game. Back then you could choose the amount yoursel via paypal, i think you still can. Ofc that doesnt show how much approx we will get in advance.
Problem is, i cant make a vote in this thread, so need a mod to make it instead![]()
I hope that specialized coverage from GTPlanet would be able to provide more in-depth impressions of any demo on the show floor, aside from the typical "it was great" reactions of general news outlets. In an interview I would ask, aside from the obvious questions, about the mysteries of GT (car licensing process, interaction between SCEI/PD, etc.) which I and many of the fans here have long debated and wondered about. I also find that many questions in Yamauchi's interviews are somewhat naive, and I would of course try to avoid that.
The thing is Jordan, Famine is right, and I'm just not sure that sending somebody from the UK would be worthwhile use of time and money just to get a more detailed impression of a demo and to find out about the car licensing process that really, does not have anything to do with the quality and release of GT5 as such. That's nice background information, but all I really want to know is what will be in the game, and when it will release. That, I'm sure, we'll get anyway (assuming there is a GT5 blowout at E3 in the first place, of which we cannot be guaranteed!)And I'm only kidding. Aside from being a logistical nightmare beyond nightmares, flying 14,000 miles to go to a 3-day games show is just silly - particularly when we have mods-next-door (by comparison).
The thing is Jordan, Famine is right ...
I flew to Florida for a 3 day conference once...never again. I don't care who is there or what the event is!No-one was ever seriously considering flying me to LA for this
Smallhorses and EDK both live in California and, though it's a little trek for them both, they'd be sensible choices to throw at LA.
