My friends have absolutely no interest in video games sadly. :ouch:

Give me a save feature and the ability to switch out a b-spec driver every once in awhile and the problem is solved.

I'm 30, my friends have no interest in spending 24 hours in my apartment playing a game, They'd rather be chasing tail. They do like games but not that much.

Plus they all suck at racing games.

I know I don't post much, but I love this site, it's simply the best place for GT fans, I read it everyday, almost everytime when I'm in the comuter, I stop by to read it
Now that I got that out of the way... (Yes, I think it's good to make a little introduction first )

Is anybody here at level 35-40?
There's no way to know if there's a save system or not in the 24h races, simply because NO ONE played them yet (I think...)

4 hours race are ok to play, I think, maybe that's the reason there isn't a saving option. On the other hand, there's no way I could play 24h races without saving or the fast foward in B-Spec, just like most of the players in this forum. So, there's still hope, right?
(Yes, I know it's not a lot oh hope, but...)

Anyway, just wanted to share my toughts with you guys ;)

Good point...still can't save between races during championships though. Also I could count on one hand the number of times I get 4 uninterrupted hours in front of the PS3 each year.

I thought in championships after we did a race and then we went to the other race, that we could save just before starting the next race?

I think having friends to do it is fine, if you have people who are interested. The ideas were always floated back in College to do the 24 hour races over a weekend....but I think save option will be nice.

The other issue also, is that if say you got 3 buddies all plays GT5, we potentially need to do 4 24 hours races so that all of us can get the same progress...which is just crazy....

@ Neal....... you serious about not being able to save between races in a championship? (I have played the game, don't worry, just been concentrating on the special events and licenses, had a liitle go at the first couple of races). Even THAT will prevent me from completing some of the longer championships......... PD needs to patch this in......it seems to me that they think the playing (and paying) public have nothing else to do in theirs lives, I may be wrong.

On another note Neal, saw in your sig, awesome job on the Gruffalo bedroom dude and I'll think of you on 29th Dec dude, same day that me and the missus have our first scan for our second baby.

It would seem to me that if you could save it you couldn't call it an "endurance" race. But I understand why people would want to save it.

Deadly serious :grumpy:

A friend pointed it out to me before I'd done a championship myself but I've tried it now and if you quit out of a championship after finishing one of the races you lose your progress and have to start from scratch again! I haven't got to the higher level championships yet but I'm sure there'll be 20 lap 5 race events which will take over 3 hours to complete. That'll probably take me 3 sessions so would mean leaving the PS3 running for 2 days and not being able to use it for anything else during that time. PD does indeed need to patch this!

Thanks mate, we are very proud of the decorating although the boy has done his best to destroy it by peeling off half the stickers :ouch: I guess he enjoys peeling stickers more than looking at them but they'll be replaced when he can be trusted.

Congratulations of your number two too (no jokes please), slightly less worrying second time round but I'll admit I'm now into the "scared of the phone ringing" stage. Hopefully the missus will be able to keep her legs crossed until Christmas day is out of the way and stick to the prearranged plan, first time was much too big an ordeal...and that's just for me!

Most real life endurance races have driver changes to give them a break and the PS3 manual recommends to avoid playing for long periods of time and take regular breaks. Just saying.

Clearly, the human driver should be able to team up with 2 b-spec AI drivers, and take on the endurances themselves, and at each pitstop or something, be able to save and power down.

In my opinion, the whole point of B spec in GT4 was to have the accelerated-time function as a practical solution to the majority of people who don't have time/motivation to do a full race on their own, and normal speed.

In fact most endurance series in real world have a limit to how much time a single driver can drive in an entire race, and also a limit to how long the driver can drive in one stint...

I know its hardly "the real driving simulator" if it makes you drive 24hours straight.

.

Don't worry, if you have an hour to spare you can do almost any championship. Perhaps only the Formula GT Championship would be troublesome.
