endurance races

I think endurance is useless without engine wear. 24 hours without a saving option for a computer game is too....It's nice you can switch between a and b spec though.
 
i started the 24hr nurburgring :crazy:

LAP 16 im only 1:38' into it 22 1/2 hrs left :guilty:

ive been going a-spec (pit, usually 3 laps) b-spec X3 (pit) a-spec...........

i just hope my PS2 doesnt explode tonight.

im using the 350z concept LM race car stage4 with hard racing tires on steady.
 
i finally finished the 1000 miles series. total time of it all was about 11 hours. the last 2 courses were: 99 laps of cote d'azur, and 35 laps of circuit de la sarthe II. it took a lot of mental stamina not to just quit. i can't imagine doing the 24 hour nurb, it would suck. the car you win for the 1000 miles is ...... not too good....
 
I got a question for those of you who have done the 24 hour races...

Does time of day change? Do you see day, night, then day? or does it stay daylight the whole time?
 
So does anybody have the prize car list for the enduros?

Those aren't 100% accurate according to what I've seen in the US version, at least the 300km at Grand Valley won me the Steamline Auto Union whatever and not the Sauber I wanted. Anybody else seen that?

That may be Japanese version only. In fact, I'm sure of it. See amar's PAL updates thread (also applies to US version) and you'll find that the prize car has been changed.

what are your opponents in the nurb 24? and if known there power levels.

in the interests of keeping at least some of my sanity i want to pick a road car that will be a good match. if i can use say the mcmerc of AM vantage then that will be great.

i have decided to race the nurb 24 myself, but mr B-spec is going to get plenty of practice on the rest of the long ones.

i dont think theres going to be an iron butt challange this time round, not without some fatalities anyway.

Was this the 1000miles series in the Eruopean-Style events ? if so, what car did you use ?
And damn, that is alot of time :sick:

my nurburgring prize car worth allmost 1.6mil + 1.2 in prize money
 
the nurb 24 cars im facing right now are:

alfa romeo 155 v6 ti 93
amg mercedes 190 e
toyota wedssport celica
toyota superautobacs
cusco subura advan imprezza

So it's not like you're facing c9's and 787b's and all this. i've got my bspec guy on 1 and he's up 6 laps 7:30 into it.
 
I'm doing the ring at the moment and my opponents are as follows...

Chaparral 2D
Opel Calibra Touring car
AMG Mercedes 190 EVO
Nissan C-west Razo Silvia
and the Spoon 2000

I'm using the Chaparral 2J with Medium Racing tires. Pitting every 3 laps.

I'm also doing the 24h on Nurburgring i think its about 10 hours into it. I'm use the Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car, BMW M3 GTR Race Car, Opel Calibra Race Car, Toyota Wedsport Celica (JGTC), ASL Arta Garalya (JGTC).

I always did the cheating thing in GT3 where you use the Escudo and put weights on the X button and the left analog stick to turn the car into the track a little (but not too much or it will go into the pit stop lane) and turn the vibration off in the super speedway endurance race, I haven't checked it out yet and I don't know if there is an oval track endurance race, but that's what I would do to get a car and money in GT4, I mean...come on I'm not sitting there for an hour racing an oval track.

They still have the same tthing for GT4, the Super Speedway Endurace. But you get a crappy car for winning it.

I also just finished the 1000 miles series and was slightly disappointed with the prize. :yuck: The choices for certain prize cars need a little tune up.
