Back on topic , I have driven the GT40 in the game , and I got to test-drive a Panoz too . I say the GT40 has the best sound among the two cars.

There's also a 2 HUNDRED horsepower difference between the two cars (Panoz and GT40 again... Sorry). Yet they sound identical to me - and I got an A in the Bentley test of musical ability so I trust my ears to you bunch of tone-deaf shower-warblers...

The Tickford 5.0 V8 is very, very nice though.

Works for Me !!! Of the 8-10 jerks I've put on MY Ignore list since I've been here, all but 2 have disappeared!!! 👍

Back on subject: W/my impaired hearing I don't pay close attention to the Quality of the exhaust note, but must admit my current favorite after a little stint w/same last nite is TaDa - The FTO LeMans Racer. Must give a "Listen" soon to the GT40...UB57

At least in the case of the GT40 Road Car I must agree w/ Masterblaster; If memory serves, the GT40 came w/small block Fords ( I think at least one Mk IV had a SOHC 427 Ford), and from real life experience neither of them sounded like the GT40 Road Car. The "Mechanical" racket it makes sounds like gear driven cams, the trans & rear end are ALL RUNNING WITHOUT OIL!!!

The changed the rules for 1968 where the sub 5 Liter Mirage model of the GT40 appeared. The pre 1968 cars were running just below 7 liters. Although the 68/69 were 2 liter smaller it was just a fast as the 67's edit: Think the 68/69's had 425Bhp where the GT40 in the game has 495(?)bhp, can't remember the number for the pre 68's..
