Does the JPN version of GT4 include the ability to buy/install different engines for your car?

I wouldn't surprised if this was a no.

They have this in Automodelista.......but once you swap you cant tune :(, which really sucked.
I wanted a 1800hp RB26 in a silvia.:(

Licensing would be a PITA.

Be nice though to shove a 20V 4A-GE in an 86 or AW11 MR2. Or a 4E-FTE in a Tercel ;) 1.3L sleeper doom, gotta love it.

I remember the engine swap option in Automodelista... I was like "WTF"

A JZ could maybe fit in an 86... but it would be a chopped up 86 then.

Ah... I wonder how long it'll be before someone figures out hybrids this time around...

Yeah, there's so much more stuff this time, the possibilities are almost endless... 💡

Yeah, that woudl be a nice swap, ditching the ZZ-F for the ZZ-G... woudl be nice in teh MR-S... why Toyota put the F head version in is still beyond me...

Speaking of that... I just saw an 2nd gen RX-7 for sale with a 302 Ford V8 in it, and 4 speed tranny :p Poor thing

This kind of stuff can be done with "hybrids". I currently have a RB powered 180SX drifter with about 400HP. It's one of the best drifters I have ever made. My current favorite is an FC RX-7 with an FD engine tuned to a mild 320HP. Sucker is a drift machine! :sly: 👍

Edit: All of this is in GT3. 💡

Edit #2: fixed FB to FC and FC to FD.... :dopey:

If hybriding is possible (lets hope) I plan on converting the Dodge Ram Hemi Quad Cab to the SRT-10 Quad Cab. :sly:

SRT-10 Viper engine, tranny, drivetrain, wheels... 💡

Sounds like an especially unique hybrid... since the FB wasn't in GT3 ;).

Yeah.. I'm a bit confused there my self... where did he get it from.. or is he confusing it with the FC?? >_<

I made a worked Quad rotor RX-7 in GT2 it was a nasty little thing, had about 1000 hp and liked to get very sideways. I never had any Hybrids in GT3 :( but hope to get back into it for GT4

I did the Quad Rotor 787B mill into FC swap in GT3... Completely undriveable :irked:

You'll probably still be able to 'hybrid' cars into having the desired engines and tune them however you want. Although via the hybrid route you can put any engine in any car so you have to have some realistic controls on yourself when messing with this ;)
