Sitting in the top 30 right now, and top Canadian which is usually my goal. Although there is only usually 3-4 Canadians in the top 100, so maybe I should set a higher goal.

I kinda forgot to submit my time for the last round, but at least my skills must have been enhanced by the experience. It only took me 10 laps to get a time I am reasonably happy with this time, compared to the 100+ I must have done at London!

1:20.655 is where I'm currently at.
 
No 80Y 2C2, that wasn't me. Wish it was.:D

Hope to get another run in to beat markyboy.:D
 
Ok....... got a clean one in at 1'20.250.

Took about 20 laps, 15 of which were touches that didn't red flag or actual invalidated laps. Someone on here said it's such a simple course, but to be truly quick that could not be further from the truth, as you need to be so close to the walls to maintain midcorner and exit speeds.
 
Just nailed a 1'20.014, wont be trying again so if anybody beats it the first is theres.
 
Moving closer to my goal - at 1'20.55x now and can't see much more for me so I think a 1'20.3xx just isn't in the cards this round - the last corner is really killing me I think - that's the one where I watch mad or marky's ghost just sort of disappear into the distance. :)
 
Managed to get 1'20.951. After about 40 laps now....More to come hopefully...:)
 
Na they're not expected, I just decided that I still want to take part in this competition even though I don't have an internet connection at home;)

Everybody forget about me? almost identical lap and time to dan 0.003 lol but yeah he only had one go i think, dont know how he nails like within 0.1 of a perfect lap within one session.

Your lap is a ripper too markyboy. It is nearly as fast as Dan's which is probably why I can't catch you. Super lap markyboy,👍 you will probably leave this round in the lead of the championship. Congrats.👍
 
hopefully, by halfway through this tournament, I'll have a proper racing table so I can whip out the GTF and spruke up my times. 6axis used to be good (the difference between the wheel and controller on this track is quite little), but to compensate at some corners, I have reassigned R1 with brake instead of the usual handbrake...and then I screw it up haha

.......and there is the difference. Plus Dan sticks it right up top of the table on all tracks.... in all cars.

I have a huge amount of respect for Dan, in my opinion he is one of the most efficient players ever to play a playstation on any game, maybe your right ill never be as good.

Got some news for you mate, the older you get, the slower your reactions get and hand-eye co ordination deteriorates :D

I'll take credit cards with huge limits over youth anyday!

But back to topic, after noticing that Tizzla hopped above me by .009s I decided to run a bit more last night and chased my best ghost for 30+ laps. A good portion of those laps I was ahead at T1 and even less at T2. One lap I was actually 0.14s ahead at T2 and I completely stuffed the final turn. :ouch:

I'll give it one more try tonight and then submit - would really like to see something in the 1'20.3xx or .4xx range but its gonna take a miracle lap for me.
