What I find funny, is that I don't own the game, but have beaten it already. It took me maybe 2 tries to get the lowrider quest complete, it's too easy. DDR is harder than the bounce-off. I think I spent a total of 20 hours playing the game, thanks to a buddy of mine letting me borrow it Sunday. Not too shabby with the multiplayer fun and stuff, but all in all, I was truly let down by it's graphics. I saw no progression since GTA3.

if you are really stuck dancing on the beach, may i suggest that you go to one of the nite clubs in los santos (theyre on your map) and practice in there. i found that everytime i tried and failed, the peeps in the background kept saying i needed more practice, so i went to the nearest niteclub, and practiced, then went back and tried the mission, i got a few "perfect" signs came up on the screen, and hey presto, its passed. all you got to do, is make sure you press the button when its icon appears in the very middle of the circle, and turn the sound off while you do it!

good luck.

by the way, when you get to a mission where you have to ride into the back of a plane taking off, on your bike, dodge falling barrels, kill 10 guards, plant a bomb, then jump out before the plane explodes, and skydive back to earth, you'll be glad you didnt take the game back.

enjoy.

I was shocked with these missions. I had no problem whatsoever with them, but my brother, who absolutely slaughters me at DDR, couldn't get more than 1000 in the beach party. I had to beat it for him.

These missions were also extremly easy for me even though I must admit a couple times I was intimidated when I saw all the buttons coming across the screen. I beat the beach mission on the 2nd try. Hydrolic challenge first try. And every dance club mission on the first try. Just ignore the music while you do the buttons like vexd said. That will help the most. Dont try to do the buttons with the beat or you will lose for sure.

Well, there are a few things. Glitches have been minimalised, but I suppose that's not graphics. A big change is the cars. The textures are alot smoother, and cleaner. Draw distance has been maximised.

One thing I know you would have noticed are the buildings. How on Vice City there were alot more "cleaner" buildings, yet on this one, the doors aren't clean, the windows are hardly see through if at all. But the thing is, they wanted to blend everything in to make it all look like it belongs together. In Vice City, the Well-Stacked Pizzas, etc, all stuck out and looked like they didn't belong, along with a few other buildings.

Of course, making every building look clean would present alot of loading problems, so they opted for the safer option and went with the classic GTA building look from GTA 3.

It's not the best looking game in the world, but it's the GTA world, and it's just fine in my books.

that beach one took me about 8 goes, but i only had to get the timing right, i know the buttons off by heart easily its just the timing. the hydrolic one i got first goe that was easy.

Thats what i think!, with all the new additions to the game and enhanced gameplay, the graphics have'nt bothered me atall.
Infact i only really notice the Graphics glitches when flying.
Overall the game makes up for the graphics in all of its other areas.

apart from flying I've only noticed two graphics glitches, they are very minimilised compared to Vice City.

And they also don't happen as much. I'm fine. I agree with a point KM made in a previous thread that I wouldn't want GTA to be too graphically advanced and precise. It wouldn't feel like GTA anyway.

I keep crashing
into things I can't see on screen. I hit something or my car refuses to move forward. I'm wondering what's going on when all of a sudden a wall will materialise on screen like magic. I can't see any less glitches than in Vice City, but someone suggested that it might be because my PS2 is a bit knackered and not reading textures as fast off disc as it should. But reading textures on the fly off a CD doesn't sound like a good idea if you ask me.

Without a HD loader I think there would be no other way to do it. It's off a DVD by the way ;)

That and the building texture rendering are the only real glitches with the graphics, and both don't occur very much on mine.

Ive had a building spawn right in front of me while flying. POW!!!! Down I go. :scared:

yeah, I had jumped out of a plane and was chuting down, and aiming for a nice empty spot on the street, just before landing a damn packer spawned infront of me and ran me over.....

Haha, gotta hate that. That sort of stuff is rare for me, for some reason. I've had it a couple of times, but the other times it's mostly fine.

I keep seeing airplanes just popping out of existence in the sky above me.

And I've crashed a few planes and helicopters by hitting invisible trees.

Ahh well, I haven't noticed it too much, but I have had it happen a few times and I admit it can be annoying. Just fly high. :)

I passed both of the dancing missions 1st try. I was pushing 7000 on the beach party one and then I tried the lowrider one for $1000 and smashed them and I have never even played DDR so I dont know how I did it.

Just keep trying.

I have only ever seen glitches twice and that was when the street had that weird blue colour but thats all I have seen.

That stupid 'Air Raid' mission is what I am stuck on! 3 times the timer has gone down to 00:00 but they still blow up the transmitter! It is really annoying so I left it for now.

Those planes come from the four points of the compass, and all must be shot down to complete the mission. sound hard?
it is, but you can do it with practice.

just point to a place where the planes are coming from, shoot the ones you see, then move to the next point they come from, repeat the process.... ad infinitum.

i hated it for ten minutes too.
we have to have missions like that, otherwise we would all have 100% and would be writing in a thread titled "Grand Theft Auto San Andreas-Too Short And Easy-Discuss".

Try to place your target ring a few cm before a plane, and allow the plane to fly into it, and dont stop shooting!

I really hated the mission, but I just kept going. I didn't give up until I beat it. Seriously, stay and keep trying as you really need to be in the right attitude to do this Mission. It's very hard. Avoid doing it at night. Also, keep 1 eye on the Map, as you will definately need to use it as a guide.

Getting used to aiming at such small objects really quickly is the hardest part in my opinion. Either way, just keep at it. You don't need to do it anyway. I haven't done the other 2 Zero Missions...yet.

Jimmy... there are four Zero missions in total... Once you complete him as an asset you can go back inside for a mission called Beefy Baron... which is essentially the same as Supply Lines... cept you have a time limit and it's a kill as many as you can style thing... Which I suspect will go into your stats too... I got 16 on my first try!

It's not a Mission essentially. It's a Side-Mission. And it can be repeated apparantly. He has 3 Story Missions.

I must have gotten lucky on the Air Raid mission for Zero, because I beat it last night on my second try. I suck at the joystick and I think I shot down about 1/2 to 2/3 of the planes. I didn't look behind me until the tower behind me was the last one alive. I won without the last tower even getting hurt (I think).

Anyways, I am sucking the hell out of the second Zero mission! The first time I tried it, I didn't really know what I was doing, and I kept crashing, but I only ran out of fuel about 100 feet from finishing (I thought I could glide the rest of the way, but I guess not :grumpy: ). I thought the mission would be pretty easy after that, but it sucks :banghead:. The last dam van keeps driving way north; it's not possible to kill it and get back. Is there a secret to beating this mission?

I know this is the wrong thread to ask this question, but while we're on the subject. . . .

Try getting that Van first then. Anyway, you should've asked in the San Fierro Mission Help Thread. ;)

I was just testing your expert moderating tips Jimmy!

I'll try it.

I thought a update to my thread may be in order, AS ALMOST 1 MONTH LATER I STILL HAVE NOT MANAGED TO COMPLETE THIS LEVEL. I Have sprayed 98 tags, completed the taxi missions, used a never wanted cheat to explore the ENTIRE of the map (did the taxi driver in Las Venturas, as driving a cab while people shoot at you gets tiring after a while). The fact that you can only make two attempt's at it in each 42 hour period, is a killer.

It's not THAT hard surely? What kind of score can you get? I think 4000 is the required score.

KM.

My absolute top score is around 1800 :(
I average around 1500 :guilty:

mate just get a friend to do it,

Yes... If it takes you this long... We can't help you..
