it tells you the horsepower and the weight of the cars you race against and you can even add ballast weight to your car. :) so i guess if you really wanna be realistic you could add your own weight as ballast weight. :dopey:

GREAT NEWS cant wait to get my copy now.

New Enthusia VS Real live video from Konami:Donut

Now there is something you can not do in GT4. Enthusia +1

hm.. i cant do a donut with my trueno.. i just realized that... wtf. i knew the low speed physics were weird, but wtf. so this is why drifting those hairpin turns are so hard... cant even do doughnuts. :indiff:

How bout getting back on topic??????? --> ENTHUSIA!

I'll ask it again...

thanks.
GT4 in terms of gameplay, sense of speed, and just how realistic the game is in general? How good is the physics? lets us know... thanks.

Oh sorry, didn't see that one...
Ok gameplay seemed to be even harder than Gt4, it's hard for me to remember if it was more realistic... Gt4 is pretty realistic, so I think that there is not a lot of difference, but it feels "harder" to control the cars...
sense of speed : the oval was fast... the rally tracks were slow ;) ... it is no burnout, but fast enough...
I can't give you a really detailed description of gameplay, as I played it in last July or August... but it is the game that can be compared most to GT in terms of grafics, physics and gameplay... The japanese version will come out in two weeks, then we will know more...

Amazing.

However I wonder how this will affect the other physics in the game.

I don't want to be spinning left and right on the track and I sure don't want the rear end to be sliding around all the time like Rallisport.

that's the biggest beef I have with GT4's physics right now: there is practically no wheelspin or power oversteer, especially at low speeds. Of course, you can acheive these by futzing around with settings but that sacrifices the car's balance, and still doesn't come close to the amount you can get in real life.

BTW, I drive with assists off and the DFP.

And that enthusia video freakin rocks. 👍

at high speeds physics seem ok a little to easy but ok, but at low speeds, they seem to grippy and not enough oversteer in some instances. Powersliding around hairpins is damn near impossible. i havent tried it with any rally cars yet, but with most of the cars i've tried....

I dunno how this got past the testers, lol :dunce:

WOW, the last videos ( especially that one) make me rethink my shipping method for the japanese Enthusia.... looks like UPS 2day worldwide express has a good chance to beat my actual standart airmail option... ENTHUSIA

RallyF1
where do i start, the autosave mode is crappy(and yes i know you can turn it off)
the music, oh my G O D, gt2 was the only one with good soundtracks. engine noise is the most annoying(is that the way rally cars sound). what else, the physics are way off, ok mabe not but i was expecting a lot more.
excuse my harsh crtisicm, but gt4 could have been a lot more than what we have on hand. and i beleive the game was rushed to stores eventhough it have been so long in development, case and point the lines that show up on the screen while racing, the game is good but..........not good enough. sorry, but i think this is the beggining of the end for the gt series.

Go to the Nurburgring with your car and kill yourself, it would be a good thing to society.

Ok, I just got the GT4 US and I cant seem to find where it says the stats of the ai cars.

Depends on how the car's set up and how you drive it. I was able to powerslide a Mini in the Compact Car Cup. Around every single corner.. all I had to do was twitch the wheel a little into the turn if it looked like I was understeering too much. That little twich, and the ass-end would pop right out, and I'd perform a lovely powerslide. Which is about as close to "drifting" as I usually get. And that's in a frikkin' MINI. A front-wheel drive car..

its possible, but it shouldnt require this much effort :dopey: I can whip the tail out better in a freaking FF chevy malibu in real life than I can in an FR rally car.

May 4th for US. Game is complete but was delayed for "marketing reason". Which I am sure it was becuase GT4's release would have been too close. Demo will be in the next OPM with in the next two weeks.

I'm really looking forward to this game. After playing GT4 with a much more realistic physics engine, I'm anxious to see what a game dedicated to the physics of driving will be like.

wow ... you can do donut in Enthusia
that's nice ... I just hope the game will support DFP or DF, not just their own wheel

in a video it showed someone playin enthusia at a both with the DFP, so hopefully they will support it. :)

I still don't understand the "obsession" people have with doing donuts. IRL or in a game. It's just not a fun concept to me.

I think donuts are spectacular and doing them is fun :sly:
But most important is perhaps the fact that the other realistic racing game, GT4, makes it somewhat difficult to perform these realistic maneuvers in stock cars without modifications... And this parallel videos of the Miata and the Silvia together with normal racing scenes show that Enthusia seems to be a realistic complete package... well and that is good and makes us happy...... :)

because it shows a flaw in the physics. If you cant do doughnuts, it means you cant take tight corners as quickly as you would be able to in real life, or as realisticly..

Its the fact that the game is realistic enough that you are able preform a donut where as in GT4 you cant. You can do donuts in Forza as well. Hopefully these games will knock PD upside the head and they will do accurate physics next go around.

Well, you all have fun going in circles. It's just not my thing.

I can see what you are saying about the "realistic" physics, but are you really going to buy the game just to go in circles?

The other thing that I want to see in Enthusia is how the game controls. Not how the physics engine works, but how the player can control the physics engine. If it is going to be as sensitive and realistic as it looks, the control system will have to be just as sensitive and even more intuitive.

definitly gonna buy this game.
some of the recent games that are coming out really put the standards high for the PS2. they just keep getting better.

Yes it will. Read at the bottom of the page under "features":
http://uk.gs.konami-europe.com/game.do?idGame=64

- Pressure sensitive control, allowing players to "feather" the gas and brake
- Compatible with PlayStation 2 driving wheels, including the Logitech GT Force

How many opponents can you race against in enthusia. Can I kit up my cars?. Are there any ferraris porsches or lambos?
