Enzo or McLaren F1

Im thinking of buying one of these cars.. but which one.. and why?

Well, first of all you can´t make a wrong decision here. Both are great cars.

It is a matter of taste in the end. I have recently bought a McLaren F1 simply because it is an icon in the history of sportscars. It is extremely exciting to drive, it is very, VERY fast, and the Cockpit and seating position are great.

I don´t have an Enzo yet, so I can´t compare, but it propably will be just as fast if not quicker on some tracks. Propably slower on highspeed tracks though.

Anyway, if you are a Ferrari guy, buy the enzo. If you are not buy the McLaren 👍

They are both fun; the Enzo handles like crap on street tires without some suspension tweaks (can't believe it handles like that IRL), but accelerates damn fast.

The F1 cockpit is really cool, and it's bad fast as well.

ive got just over 5million to play with but im also waiting for the R8 LMS Playstation Team Race Car to arrive in my UCD.. known my luck ill buy the F1 n Enzo and the R8 will appear in the garage

I have both their both proper cars only the McLaren is al whole lot better and more agile. I really dont like my Enzo at all is handless crap especially in corners it doesn't roll and turn as smooth as the F1. Also the Enzo' s topspeed isn't as good as the McLaren's. 👍

Havent tried the mclaren but the enzo is just so much fun with good susp, differential and racing tires. and the noise the engine makes...OMG

i had the same predicament not to long ago
well first i remember buying the enzo cuz of the looks, powerful, light and because its a ferrari and i did.
and guess what.....it SUCKSS major asss.
its a damm good looking car but dam its a handfull, its very hard to control, i dont use any aids when i play so yup.
and i won the mclaren f1 as a prize car, dont know how, please dont hate me.
its much lighter, it feels much lighter, it handles waaaay better, very easy to drive, even though full tuned is like 840+hp.
so if you want a car that will win you races, buy any of them.
if you want a car that will win you races effortless, buy an f1.

i remember someone suggesting testdrives before buying a car, that just would be so much help

I can't believe any of you think the Enzo is even a decent car.

IBOWMANI, Do NOT waste your time on that car. It does NOT perform well on the track and barely improves anything when tuned.

Don't make the same mistake I made and thinking the car would be a good buy and find out its a complete waste of 1 million.

That is unless you just want to drive it around.

I have both
- Enzo is really fast in a straight line but not so much in turns without tuning
- McLaren is not as fast(still fast) in a straight line but can take turns much better then an Enzo

Save up and get both! but if you have to get 1 first, the mclaren!

I currently have 2 Mclarens, my silver one is pretty much stock and the papaya one was converted to the LM version with full race modifications. Not that car is a beast!

i have one of each. IF you drive interior view the F1 is the easiest car to drive from inside. the visibility is incredible! i love my enzo but i would say go for the F1 even if you use any viewpoint. lighter, not too far behind in horsepower. with aero it is given more downforce by PD. you can get the front flaps on the enzo that you can on the F1.

i bought everything for the F1 and then felt like i had "riced" it. max power and least amount of weight. at first i felt like i had defecated a wonderful masterpiece. i have now bought another F1 and have left it completely stock and LOVE both. tuned F1 is historic orange, stock F1 is black.

@ Eric W... that looks like the F1 that a british guy owns. he also owns an Enzo. tiff needell goes to his place and drives both. you can search the video its just under 10minutes long. that backdrop looks like that brits old english home setting. its and incredible video. to see tiff so excited to drive the cars. yet he has driven a lister at lemans. speaks volumes for those two majestic vehicles.

I've got both, although only the McLaren fully tuned.

I've driven the McLaren a ton, and it's easily one of my favourite cars in GT5.
It's extremely agile, fast as hell, and an icon among cars.
The Enzo understeers a lot, it's not nearly as agile, and a lot less "exiting" to drive than the F1.
And I hardly believe the F1 is slower on straight sections. It keeps accelerating for what seems forever.
I even won both Like The Wind races with my F1, without any extra assists. TCS 1 and ABS 1, that's all.
The F1 can compete among racing cars of a completely different level. Among the cars in the Like The Wind event, are cars like the Minolta, Sauber C9, Mazda 787B, etc., and while those cars are much better when you drive them, the F1 is on par with their AI counterparts.

But for a general idea on how cars compare against each other, check out the thread the best GT5 cars according to stormbringer!.
It's a thorough test of all the greater cars in GT5, and as you can see, the F1 greatly outperforms the Enzo.

I say the Mclaren. For its power its one of the most agile and best handling cars. Very responsive, very fast. It does everything right and nothing wrong.
When I run lap times, my F1 is only behind my LMP cars.

If the Enzo handles anything like the other Ferrari's I've used, go with the F1. I find the Ferraris understeer terribly and are a real handful to drive. Some are dog slow. Everytime I've used a Ferrari, it's been dissapointing.

The F1 on the other hand was a solid performer right away. After a few mods the thing is unstoppable and still easy to drive.
