Enzo or McLaren F1

Well, the Enzo is a great car but the F1 is a legend so it has to be the McLaren! Flying down the long straight at the 'Ring as the sun goes down, the greeny/blue dials illuminating the cockpit, best moment in GT5 for me so far.

I prefer the Enzo, but have no complaints about the F1, either.
 
McLaren F1.

I'm partial towards McLaren, but you can't beat that center driving position.

I agree. Eventually you might end up getting both anyways. I only have the Enzo and without upgrades, it does drive like crap. Spend some time on the setup and its a great car to drive. For me, its by far the best exotic in my garage. That one Lambo 6 something sucks major a$$ compared to a tuned Enzo.

I have both
- Enzo is really fast in a straight line but not so much in turns without tuning
- McLaren is not as fast(still fast) in a straight line but can take turns much better then an Enzo

Save up and get both! but if you have to get 1 first, the mclaren!

I was actually disapointed with both of them, but then again I didn't drive them with mild modifications. I bought every upgrade possible.

F1 became manageable, but also boring. Enzo was far from boring because it was crazy and not in a good way (the RUF Yellowbird way).

My suggestion to you, is that you in time buy both of them and don't upgrade either of them to maxinum statistics. Trust me, you'll have a better car this way. Start with the F1.

Mind telling me how the F1 is boring, or rubbish when fully tuned?
Mine is fully tuned, and i won both Like The Wind races with it.

And what cars around the same level were you not disappointed with?
The F1 is one of the greatest car in the game, can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like it.

Just remove 'Enzo' from your list of Ferrari's and replace it with 458 Italia...
 
I have both and the F1 is pretty fast around a track but the Enzo has serious handling problems, very difficult to drive fast around a track.

On the other hand you can tune the Enzo to 896 hp before brake-in and it will do 255 mph at Sarthe with no draft.

I actually beat the Enzo in a completely stock 458 in the Ferrari event, though I had to block it on the straights or else it would roar past me

Ditto, but I'm 37. Bought myself one in-game for my birthday the other day and took it to the 'Ring. EPIC!

I'm Italian, so by law I have to buy the Enzo. I can't buy any Mclarens because of this. If you don't understand why, do a little research into the history of Formula 1. Ferrari and Mclaren have been rivals for 50+ years...
 
I would go for McLaren - it is a balanced and fast car - in stock or fully tuned form. It forgives mistakes and doesn't snap suddenly in oversteer.
Enzo, on the other hand... It's a challenge, to put it midly. It doesn't only growl, it bites hard too! OVERSTEER, in one wors. You can tame it a bit with settings, but it still isn't one of the better handling car. But it's a great car and I love it - it's like a femme fatale: you know it's going to be wild and passionate but you will never own her!

Man i just bought the F1 today..and stock for stock it sucks compared to the enzo...by far, its slower, tail end is too happy and dosnt stick as good. If you know how to drive you will like the enzo more feather the gas know where the power is at...My enzo ran a 1:56 at monza..and my F1 1:59 and thats multiple laps to acheive the best..👍
 
The f1 is hard to master at the very least but all I had to do to my enzo is give some sports soft and it was off .

um no sir....not at all. On de la sarthe the F1 tops at 217 on the straight the enzo ive hit 218, but it got there a hell of alot quicker and both cars are bone stock..you dont suppose to tune exotics(defeats the purpose)
 
After reading this thread i did some laps around Indy in the American Championship and got myself and F1 as well :).

Love it so far and that cockpit is indeed EPIC!👍

I think i will just give it the full suspension and gearbox and some racing tyres and leave the rest as it is.

Or should i get wings on it as well?

Try to beat Mclaren in Suzuka with the Enzo. Both with street tyres. Enzo just can't handle Mclaren in the first sector, where handling becomes crucial.

And I'm a Ferrari guy myself.

But really was the enzo just made to go fast in a straight line or was it brought up from the F1 roots that ferrari has..Im actuality it will out handle the hell out of a McLaren. 1 problem i noticed in both cars that someone else mentioned was body roll. The enzo has none at all and that is perfect(the perfect balance between under and oversteer). And it also slows down alot faster making the F1 feel like a tank imo. But i will try it tomorrow and give it my best shot on both cars.
 
I would like the F1 the best if it has that wonderful V12 sound and ran around 390 km/h down the Mulsanne straight on Le Mans like its real life counterpart. Instead of it sounds like cough and tops around 350 km/h. Ditto for Enzo. Both are only PD's fail.

I enjoy F458 Italia for quarter of money much more. I just feel it has great sound and handling more similar to real one.

I tried on sports med. I couldn't match myself with the Enzo against my Mclaren ghost in the first sector.
 
It depends on if you would rather have one of the greatest road cars ever built, or another Ferrari.

No mclaren ever hit 390km/h down the mulsanne straight. There's no track in the game with the sort of straights the F1 set its record on (Ehra-Lessien) and the record breaking car was a prototype with its rev limiter removed.

In real life the Enzo and F1 have extremely similar acceleration;

F1
0–60 mph 3.2 seconds
0–100 mph 6.3 seconds

Enzo
0-60 mph 3.14 seconds
0-100 mph 6.6 seconds

sure the Enzo has a lower top speed, but thats entirely down to its higher drag co-efficient.
 
I really feel F1 produces more downforce. It's high speed cornering rips the Enzo appart.
