I hope not. I will have waisted 50 euro if they do. I still cant believe they charge 1 euro to add funds to my account. I was planning on putting 50 euro on my PSN account just in case but now I cant.
 
Well I'll need 4 pitchforks coz I just sprouted an extra set of hands from straining with anticipation.

I hope they've booked decent bandwidth from their provider too, a few hundred thousand people starting the download simultaneously better not slow the transfers down so I can put my 100mbit connection to good use *evil cackle*.

Ordered mine from shopto.net yesterday afternoon and got it in the post this morning. More content than GT4 Prologue. I've bought the PS3 just for this really (and obviously the full game when it gets released in 2009/2010/2011). I have to say that the live version of PS3 is a bit naff compared to the xbox 360 which I usually use. Am I missing something or is there no voice chat on the PS3. It does not seem you can even talk to people whilst playing GT5.

Your exactly the same as me.

I have been an Xbox 360 owner since release and have played all the racing games this system can offer i.e Forza 2, PGR3/4. However I have purchased a PS3 system just so I can play GT5/Prologue.
As you say the online side of the PS3 compared to the 360 is dreadful in comparison but I believe the private chat option is coming to prologue via an update and of course Home is still to be released. At the end of the day the GT series is legendary which is why I believe purchasing a PS3 for the sake of this game is worth every penny.

The get around the private chat what im doing and so are my friends is we are going to have our 360s switched on and set up a private chat whilst playing GT5 Prologue. We often used to be in private chat when going for laptimes on Forza 2 so we could discuss racing lines, tuning etc.

Im not bothering with the download as I pick up my copy tomorrow morning.

right I am going to go and finish off crysis, hopefully that should take my mind of things for a few nano seconds.
 
Nope Im typing with my PC. I gave up with waiting with my PS3 and turned it off 50 minutes ago.

Apart from that it's excellent. I've followed this series since GT1 and have been playing GT4 the last week in anticipation of this.

And 16 cars on track - those endurances in the full GT5 will be much more fun now with a decent sized grid!

Microsoft introduced the live gaming in the first xbox other than sony they had a good few years to perfect it

What i love from sony that its still free (thought it sometimes has some connection problems).


Checked again a few minutes ago and still no sign of any updates, wonder if they just dont release it at night 11 pm UK time and 12pm main land time.

Anyone pre-ordered their game at gamestop ireland? If yes do you know if they sell it yet?
 
arrhhh where is it??? I PRE-ordered it from amazon, but they are taking ages to post it (hasn't even been dispatched yet!!!!!!!!)

I thought to download it on PSN, but even this is taking ages.

Does anybody know if it will be available to buy at Tesco's at 12pm tonight? (UK)

If so, my car got fixed today, i guess i can just race there quickly...

Well I hope its not too fast at going live cause my japanese version just started updating. its at about 5% now after 10 minutes of updating lol. This will take a while.

I believe the reason for the hold up could well be that the new GTA4 Trailer is also going on the store and that is not getting officially unveiled until 8pm apparently.
 
A balls. Got home from work about 6 PM and thought I would go and start downloading GT5 so I could go shopping with the missus to give it a head start. Then when I came back 10 mins ago it's still not feckin there.

Come on!!! I want it now. I've already reserved my GT5 time for tonight and no harm meant but I don't wanna be spending that time on here venting my frustration!!
 
seriously....If I see that Pain advertisement where the GT5P Advertisement should be one more time then I am gonna scream.

I know it sounds sad but I may have to write a letter of complaint as their own website is a bit misleading

Although PAIN is actually quite a good game and stonkingly good value at £4.99.

If anyone lives near 10 MArborough Street in London please grab a stick and a ski mask and go and see if you can hurry them along a little!
 
Picked up my boxed copy earlier today - Haven't really had a chance to play much, and now that Men in Trees are on, the TV is busy - AGAIN :grumpy:
 
Ok its coming up for 10pm uk time and still no sign of the store update, i would have liked the download of gt5 as i have the asian version but by the time it is downloaded and maybe have to update after that i think im just gonna get the blu ray in the morning..........sigh:crazy:
 
I am currently downloading the asian version from Hong Kong store, I bet the uk one will be available just as the download to the other one finishes!

oh well tomorrow is another day.
 
SCEE suck ass! Just a week ago they where 36 hours later than scheduled for the COD4 update, and now this :grumpy:
 
Every thursday without fail store update.........GT5p 26th PS3 GT bundle released, 27th PSN store release........nada 28th BR version released. It's in the national press it's on prime time TV, Sony spent a fortune giving us this info..........So someone at the European PSN store has cocked up with the update.......Somehow I think Sony will have there hitmen and dogs of war baracadeing the network guys in the building till they get it working, too much money and consumer image rideing on this to let a handful of IT guys go home to watch neighbours and get there tea LOL I'm here till 1 am, no update then I'll get a BR copy first thing and make a few vocal issues be heard on the net about PSN screwing up!
 
FAIL! checked at 12.04 and the game wasnt there.
 
I doubt it is going to be updated until tomorrow afternoon/evening now. It's a shame as I was going to play with some of my mates (Got my copy early from GAME) and now they have all gone off swaring blue murder at Sony.

You would think, with all the press attention and the amount Sony has riding on this game that would of got the game out on the PS Store on time. What with all the crappy updates the Store has gotten in recent time I guess they couldn't handle putting a decent one up without some sort of mishap.

I feel sorry for all you downloaders :(
