So a really good day yesterday, Urs Erbacher of Switzerland (where Motor Sport is Illegal ) broke the European record by a thousandth of a second, recording a 4.747 at 312MPH.
He was on fire all weekend too, 3 300Mph+ runs in the 3 days!
The day was marred though when all the comps had finished and they were going to finish with the Jet Cars, etc. The track was claimed a Crime Scene as earlier on in the day someone was injured (most likely killed) it coincided with when a Top Methanol (280+mph) blew his Supercharger and we think that the spectator was hit by some debris.
It could've been something completely different though, as there have been no police press releases, etc. Can't find a thing about it on the net.
