Rally Swiss Alps
Tour de Tahiti
Rally Yosemite I n II

Thank you very much MaskMan, it is what I plead for.

Can't tell you how much I'm grateful for this.

Best from me.

I read somewhere (and it may even have been here) that in each championship (other than the rallies) you choose the courses the races take places on. Is this true or am I just misinformed as usual?

Check your tyre and the Tyre entries in the list.

What about Arcade Mode?

Is it the same as GT3 where you have to race on each circuit at all difficulty levels?

...and what about Time Attack?

Thankyou very much maskrider , you are indeed a valuable asset to these forums!

Im glad to see some people taking the initiative to get us ready for the release of gran turismo in both pal and ntsc and what little information we have keeps the hope of the game alive lol... that and most are starved for info.

take care. Avenix

hey thanks for added endurance.
I take it you can save during the 24 hour races right?

Don't know, I don't think I will play the long races. May be you should check the Nurburgring 24hr report thread.

Oh belive me i have but everyone seems to be saying different things.
What it really needs is for who someone who has the import version to try going into the 24 hour races and quickly pitting to in just to look for a save function.

maskrider since you made the list of all the races im guessing you could find out if you wanted :sly:

You should believe Hyde (he is the one who started the Nurburgring 24hr report thread) when he said there is no option to save.

hmm thanks but im not conviced since the new slimline PS2s can over heat if they are on for more than 10 hours at once in summer and turn off. You would be happy about that half way through a race of that size. I cant belive that in a game of such epic perportortion they would fail to think of somthing that basic

Convinced or not does not matter, he speaks the truth as he is playing the game. And B-spec mode can run the simulation in triple speed when you are in the race monitor.

but still 24 hours without a save?

It is more likly he just he just hasnt found the save button. Mybe he was looking in the wrong place

I don't know where is the right place then, when I said he speaks the truth, I had actually checked the pit in menu in a Sarthe 24hr session in the second lap in B-spec mode and there is no such thing as a save button. Unless you are telling me that I was also looking in the wrong place.

And running B-spec in triple speed means 8 hours for a 24 hours race, unless you are going to race in A-spec, I suppose you will just pause it and go to sleep if you really play in A-spec.

Please please please someone check out the save situation. On a board this big someone should be able to clarify.

Yeah I know Hyde said there isn't, but someone else said there was, so if a couple of more people could just check it would be cool.

Cheers :)

Im just thinking mybe they may have hidden it a bit not indentionly of course . I think that is far more likly than not being able to save. 8 hours is still a long time

Likely or not is another issue, even THE MANUAL does not have a mention on "Save button" in B-spec mode. I had actually tried pressing the buttons before saying no.

Unless it is a weird combinations of the buttons that is not documented in the menu nor the screens, otherwise, people should be able to find it.

mybe there is an auto-save fuction which you can activate from the main menu and it actually auto saves when you pit or somthing

It might say where to find it in the instruction manual

My God. 15 races in the Formula GT. And I bet they're all endurence length too :yuck:

And 40 hours of racing to be had in endurence. In B-Spec. On 3x speed. In race cars.
Or 5 days straight of normal racing.
About.
5 damn days. With no mid race saving. My PS2 WILL DIE!!!!!!!

Just a Remark:
In the Beginner hall for the Spider & Roaster races you need license A for the A-Spec Race.
At least on my copy which is Chinese.

Also 1000 Miglia it is a 1000 Miles race that runs all around Italy.

Thanks. "Spider & Roadster" Corrected. Forgot to edit that line after copy and paste from other races.

Don't know about original 1000 something, but 1000 Miles! in GT4 is 25 laps of Nurburgring, 95 laps of Opera Paris, 99 laps of Cote d' Azur and 35 laps of Circuit de la Sarthe.

Nice info, thanks.
I maight have missed something , but does it means that GT4 has no "cup" race, I mean a race where 1 specific model of 1 specific manufacturer only is allowed like the Toyota Vitz cup in GT3 ?

Your covered, There's Cup Races still and a whole lot more!

Judging by all the races detailed in this thread, GT4 is smaller than GT3 :(

GT4 - total of 274 races
GT3 - total of 337 races

I guess it'll be quicker to complete GT4 than GT3
