We seem to have a livery theme going on here. Glad to see the Brighton fans also driving in AEK colours.

Here's my Team AEK car passing a black and yellow seagull on the inside :)

Which is also funny because Brighton play in blue and white 😂.

So hang on, is that my actual livery appearing in your game? That's really cool.

I will always remember AEK @AEKara38 as the first team I ever saw us play in Europe! (even if you did win) x

hi all, I bought F1 25 in hope VR was OK now... F1 24 I needed to refund as it was unplayable :(
Sadly F1 25 also has a 'lag' when moving my head. The picture lags slightly , making it quite nauseating after a short while,
so also unplayable, same as F1 24 !?

I did see some reviews on YT seemingly of similar specs (Q3 on fairly beefy pc's) , where they do not say it's unplayable... on the contrary... So I wonder, what's the deal here?

Anyone else here has experienced the same as me?
Could this be because I'm still on Windows10 ? Or because I use the Link cable (and not Virtual Desktop)? (EDIT: tried also w VD and still the same!)
I'm at a loss why I can get so good results in AMS2 or AC, but F1 25 (and 24) is unplayable vomit enducing garbage!?
Any clues to what I may need to change in order to play this in VR?

My specs:
Gigabyte x570, Corsair 850w Gold, 32gb ddr4 3600, Ryzen-9 5950x, Asus ProArt Nvidia 4080s 16GB (EDIT : updated to latest drivers v.576.52 - still no change)
Windows 10 Pro version2009 (os build 19045.5912)
Quest3 via Oculus Link (usb 3.1 cable A to C plugged in a usb 3 type A port of the x570), or Virtual Desktop

I set POV limit in Debug Tool to get more headroom even, here my settings in ODT :

Is there any interest from anyone here in an F1 '25 league? There is an on demand league option I believe which negates the requirement to all have to be online at the same time so can be run in our own time.

If there's a few interested then I'll set up a test event.

Me, as always, to bring up the rear.

I've already played F1 25 3x longer than F1 24. Doesn't make me any faster though

That tinnitus relief filter was something unexpected. Luckily I don't suffer from it but the other half does and it's a fairly unique idea.

I’ve only ever played Microprose F1 games, are there any games that are must haves/try’s for an F1 fix? Speaking about SP side of things

I think, personally speaking in terms of official titles, F1 '25 is the best balance for SP. MyTeam got a much needed refresh and is much more engaging and enjoyable than before and the driver career is pretty much everything you could ask for from a modern F1 game career mode. AI is solid, visuals are solid if unspectacular, handling is the right blend of accessible and simulation, plus 2026 will be a DLC pack rather than a new game, so in terms of longevity, you're at least getting good moneys worth from it even at this stage of it's existence.

Don't sleep on AMS2 either, the skin packs for the plethora of imitation F1 cars make single player championships and one off races an absolute joy to do. The newly updated Formula Edge with the 1995 pack is some of the most fun I have had racing F1 in a sim for a long time.

F1 25 and the (26 expansion) is an excellent, polished game in all other aspects besides the actual driving feel.

I played all F1 games from 2014 to 2025 in the last few days.

And F1 2020 and F1 2021 are utterly superior. It's not even close.

What did they do to the driving feel and force feedback? You have that brilliant downforce and tyre feel on both of those games and the force feedback (while not as responsive as AC, iRacing or LMU) is sharp and brilliant. You can really nail the kerbs perfectly and the game rewards you so well. 2021 kerbs are a bit more bouncy, I'd say 2020 has a bit better driving feel but 2021 has more accurate schedule (although not perfect) and it has Jeddah and Portugal which are very enjoyable tracks. Either way, they feel almost similar.

Then something happened. 22 driving feel is not that bad really, it has a bad reputation. But what destroys that game is the crazy fast AI on certain tracks like Baku. You can't qualify in top-10 with QF time of 1.42 (even at lower AI levels) and the DRS/ERS is way too weak. There is a mod for that but I don't think there's a AI fix for Baku and some other tracks.

25 pretty much fixed all issues on 22, 23 and 24. It's a brilliant game and the races are well balanced and outcomes are quite realistic... BUT the driving feel is nowhere NEAR 2020/2021.

I'd put F1 2020/2021 to the top tear of racing games (yes, including all "real" sims too), they are so well done and playing through the full seasons is so enjoyable. Everything screams quality in them. Sure iRacing and AC1 have better cars for hotlapping (like the top tier VRC cars on AC) but you can't really build a modern post DRS AC F1 season properly. Yeah, I've tried with tons of apps but it's just a rubber band simulation.

At least even in the worst F1 series games they pretty much all elements of real F1 weekend, rules and pit tactics implemented quite well and realistically. Safety cars, team radio, tyre compound rules etc.

F1 2018 gets a honorable mention as it probably has the most responsive FFB, almost RF2/AC like. However the AI is bad and overly aggressive which ruins many races.

The 26 expansion in F125 is quite well made too. It's just the FFB and driving they should improve for 2027. The numb, lifeless steering 22-25/26 is their main issue. People say it's because they have to make it driveable with a gamepad too. I don't think that's a good excuse, really. The rain AI is too fast as well. If they could fix those, it's not looking bad at all for us F1 gaming fanatics.

Overall, F1 (as a sport) is simulated very well in those games. Compare these games to say, FIFA (or FC 26) which is totally unrealistic arcade game. You can play two 15 min halfs and get ZERO fouls. It's like having a F1 game without pitstops hehe.
