F1 in GT5

Well I checked some of the threads and couldn't find one like this. Is there any new info on how many F1 cars will be in GT5?

Well, the only F1 cars we know of are the Ferrari F2007, the F10. The X1 is not really and F1 car. Is the Polyphony Formula Gran Turismo in GT5?

Did any of you smarta$$ think maybe, just maybe, this guy might not know what "other" F1 cars are out there? I mean, i know F1 cars are F1 cars if the name has F1 in it. But i hear people spitting out letters and numbers of "Formula One" cars (vintage, iconic, legendary and etc.) that, had not the discussion been about F1 cars, i would have not known they were F1.

Doubt it. I'd love to see some older era F1 cars too. Turbo, 90s, 60s, any of them really, lol.

Hopefully they'll handle better then the F2007 did in prologue. If you want F1 I would highly suggest F1 2010. it's an excellent game... And so is GT5 don't flame me...

F1 2010 has finally been patched, so it is a pretty good game now. Still bugs and stuff, but it isn't unbearable. It's getting my racing fix for the next 2 weeks.

Almost picked up F1 2010, but now I'm glad I didn't. It'll be interesting to compare the F2007, F10, and Formula Gran Turismo with the new physics. Throw in a little rain, and regardless of tune, it's anyone's race.

Unlikely. There's a reason why Polyphony only included Ferraris - someone else has the licencing rights to Formula 1.

If you guys remember, Kaz actually did say there would be more F1 cars from different teams in GT5 back at GamesCom... The fact that only the F10 is new (and Ferrari is not a new team to GT5) doesn't mesh with that, so something must be up. Possibly other F1 cars hidden in the game or DLC.

Unlikely. There's a reason why Polyphony only included Ferraris - someone else has the licencing rights to Formula 1.

They don't however own individual rights to specific cars hence the reason BMW could put their 2006 cars in both rfactor and Live For Speed and why Ferrari can put their F2010 in GT. Yes they get the official cars and tracks, but the real main copyright for that license is simply the F1 name.

I completely agree -- i just started following F1 at Singapore this year so I don't know much about those (💡 Wikipedia!!!)

I had a theory about all what has been going on laterly and suprisingly a lot of people agreed with me anyway here it is

I have an idea, as the F10 2010 ferrari is in and codemasters have the current cars, do you think that GT5 has to release after after this weekend as then the F10 is not a current car as the F1 2010 season has finished to stop licensing infringements.

So If what I think is true we could see more F1 cars after the season has finished
