A question for all you running so far:

How strongly do you have the TCS set? I ran without traction control this morning and my best lap was in the high 41s.

The F1 will always run faster without TCS, as I'm sure most of you found on Apricot hill. I couldn't get within 2 seconds of my Non-TCS time with TCS.

That said, no corners on Apricot were below 4th gear, where as Tsukuba all of them are, for that reason I am using TCS on 1. If you had a DFP, you can probably get enough thottle control to not use it.

EDIT: I've been told I'm the spawn of Satan (Or something like that), for using TCS on 1, I'll have to try 0 then. And come on guys, lets see those times!

I'm running six gears (to avoid spinning the wheels constantly), and I still can't keep the car on the road. This series does not bode well for me.

New T-Times.

T1 - 9.511 (Best 9.4x)
T2 - 21.578

Not much more can be done for me except for maybe .1 in the first sector and I got a wheel touching the grass on the exit of the last hairpin which may have cost me .05

My TCS is set to 3 :sly: , was set to 1 at Apricot hill aswell  .

Im a noob when it comes to car setup unfortunately :grumpy:. Having said that, i'm reasonably happy with the times i'm producing 👍 .

Hey guys, sorry havnt been around to do apricot hill results but i been exceptionally busy with a few things this week:D Specially yesterday:p.

I will be knocking up a temp results table shortly and it will be in the first post.

Minardi arrived at Tsubuka Circuit to test their new components
and did some long distance simulations. The car felt very good and
it was constant only at the end we had a few problems with the brakes
but fixed it very quick
it was a very good testweek

here they are

T1: 0'09,593
T2: 0'22,044

Wolf Racing got in some practice and tuning time in this afternoon at the Tsukuba circuit. The driver for the team, Wolf_Zero, had this to say about the car "Everything is running better than I had expected and I couldn't ask for better track conditions. I really like how the car is setup at the moment, but I would like to try to change a few things around to see how the car feels. Other than that I just need to work on my throttle control some more on the corners and we should be good to go."

Current times:
T1 - 10.034
T2 - 23.116

Nismo F1's team manager and 1st driver nitro_2005 arrived at the Tsukuba Circuit to see how his team was getting on in the second F1 test. He then entered his car and his best lap was with the following sectors:

T1: '9.882
T2: '22.229

Afterwards, he commented: "The cars feel good under acceleration, and we were able to find a setup that allowed to use all the gears to their full potential. It did frustrate us when the car understeered on some laps, but all in all, a good test so far"

GRT finally made it to Tsukuba after concerns over their lack of funding following a press release made public during the Apricot Hill testing week. Golden ran 50 laps in four stints today, making severe changes to the car after each stint. His best lap was the penultimate one of the final stint.

"The car felt great under braking all day, and I definitely felt I had control, however, in the first three stints, we had way too much understeer coming out of the turns. First, we tried drastically reducing the rear downforce, which helped a little, then we slowly loosened the rear suspension. Finally, we angled the rear tyres out, which caused some understeer in the braking zones. This set-up was a total compromise today, and I hope tomorrow we can get a better one together."

An interesting note is that GRT ran a 6-gear transmission today. It isn't clear if that is due to the low-speed corners at Tsukuba or because of their small budget.

T1: '9.781
T2: '22.577

(do I pm the lap time to Nitro or are the splits here enough?)

try ashley. instead ;) but, you can only pm your fastest lap once so keep posting your fastest sector times here until youre done testing or testing is done (wensday the 22nd)

If you're just talking about getting some times on the leaderboard, just post your split time here and I'll put them on. The final time on the leaderboard isn't your actual final time, it's the sum of your splits.

For submitting your final time, PM Ashley..

update on my sector times

T1: '9.718
T2: '21.970

just a question on the races: where are we gonna run them in GT Mode. I'm not so keen on having to do the Formula GT races, so where else could we do them?

There isnt anywhere else, so its Formula GT championship or arcade mode, and as the poll came out with the majority voting for GT mode arcade isnt happening.

Yep, some really close battles.

Less then 0.1 between 2nd and 4th.

Didn't notice my position section slip-up either...Or you were just polite enough not to comment :)
