Leaderboard Updated.

Sorry for the delay guys. You have to remember I'm in a different timezone to most of you. And since I was out Friday night and Saturday morning I didn't get the chance to get it done.

It's taking me quite a while to get it done, at the moment it's just a .PSD with about 6000 Type Layers, so I have to calculate everything manually. I think I'll change to excel if you guys don't mind? I'll try to get it looking in the same format and as good looking as possible, but it might not be as good as the one I've got now.

Hey Ashley, I think I'll give this a shot. Just a couple questions, though. Do the practice laps count for anything, and how many people can be on a team?

You can have up to 3 on a team but only 2 drivers will be eligible for points per race. The testing is basically to help everyone get a feel for the car, also it gives everyone an idea of how fast eachother is.

ok, now I know this is going to sound stupid, but where is the leaderboard? I mean I know I'm not on it yet cuz I havent turned in any split times, but just wondering where it is, haha, perhaps I'm just that slow

Golden holds off testing
11 February 2006

The BMW-powered Golden KL2 will not make its official testing debut until Tsukuba next week, proclaimed team manager and driver Ian Golden on Saturday. "We feel that, in order to save our time and money shipping the car all the way from California to Apricot Hill, then to Tsukuba, we're going to cut out the middle step," he said in a press release from the team's headquarters in Davis. This does not bode well for the Californians, who have been suffering from a lack of funds right from the start with their main sponsor, Dutch Bros, looking to expand their chain of coffee stands from Oregon down into California and farther into the mainland US.

The KL2 has not had an official test this year. It has only been outside of the factory three times total; two equipment shakedowns at Laguna Seca and Sears Point raceways, and the car's official unveiling, a five-lap exhibition at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve last week. Internal rumblings in the team have been leaked to f1racing, confirming that some of the team feels that Golden will become 'rusty' if they do not test at Apricot Hill, and this may be a sign of uncompetitiveness throughout the season.

Ok, so the third person is just there for the ride. ;) Thanks for the reply.

Apricot Hill Test: Day 1

Date: 12 February 2006
Track: Apricot Hill Raceway
Track Length: 3.861km

Team Castrol Haswell Racing joined this weeks testing at Apricot Hill, after successfully launching their 2006 car. The team focused on a chassis set up programme, and made good progress, however, there is still work to do if the team are to challenge for the championship.

Blake Haswell – Haswell Racing
Best T times:
T1: 09.649s
T2: 20.310s
T3: 41.015s
Total laps: 36 laps
Total distance: 138.996km

“We concentrated on chassis set up today, and I learned a lot about the car. We still have some work to do, however, as I couldn’t get the most out of the car, and I wasn’t entirely comfortable over the longer runs.”

Leaderboard Updated 👍

New Excel Style! Much easier now, and I got to look almost the same as the old board 👍 . Only thing I'm having trouble with is getting the 'gap' column say the gap between the fastest time with a '+' infront of it (i.e: +0.123), rather then the gap between the time above them. It's probably pretty obvious, but I'm quite a noob at excel. Any ideas?

EDIT: Blake fixed my excel problems! Deserves a bonus point

Daimler Chrysler F1 finally hit the track today, after tweaking and tuning the car for what seemed to be hours they squeked out the following sector times:

T1 - 0'09.205
T2 - 0'19.557
T3 - 0'40.480

After the testing, Crazy300ZXGuy was questioned on the Daimler Chrysler DC10F1. His comment -" It took awhile to get the car dialed in, but once we found the right setup it just flew around the track. Sector 3 is still giving us a few problems w/ the near hairpin turn, still cant quite get it down, but besides that, very confident in the car.

X-Othermic
meh, my best time aint either.

That's because you're posting them when I'm asleep

And sorry guys, I got an early start to school now (It's just after 7am now), and I don't think I'll have time to do it right now. But I'll do it first thing when I get back (about 1pm), promise.

EDIT: Leaderboard updated guys.

If next time you could put your team in with your times, it will help. I'd rather not sort though the sign-up thread. So for future, this format if possible.

Casio - Minardi F1
T1 - 12.345
T2 - 67.890

Got another hour in today, have some updated T times.

T1 - 9.309
T2 - 19.911
T3 - 40.166

Still a little room for improvement, I'm sure I could break into mid/low 19's at T2 and mid/high 39's at T3 with some more practice and maybe some slight modification to my setup.

So here's the thing. I was going to run a few laps last night when I realised the 100% complete save I got from the web does not have all the tracks unlocked, including Apricot Hill. :indiff:

I also have my original save with about 43% complete and all the tracks unlocked, but no F1 cars. :ouch:

So what's easier, to unlock Apricot Hill at the 100% save or to win a F1 car on my original save? And how can I do that?

Just sat and had my first real punt at this.

Casio - Arrows F1
T1 - 9.354
T2 - 19.219
T3 - 39.076 (Had a 38.8x grrr)

@Appie: That T1 is amazing. I can't even get close to that.

Nismo F1 will be unveiling their car at Suzuka tommorow with their two drivers, nitro_2005 and last-minute signing, east. There are rumours that the car has had a major colour scheme change from the originally planned red and silver. Reports are coming in that the car may have been painted in blue.
