does anyone run a series on here run a series using the formula gran turismo cars? if not is there any interest for a series like this?

sounds cool, and if it has the good tracks it would be awesome:D

if theres enough interest i would be willing to start this series as long as no one already has

I've been thinking for a while now of making an F1 series myself, there is no other series running these cars right now to my knowledge, if there was i'd be in it, count me in 👍

And yes only the best tracks, like Apricot Hill and Le Sarthe and other great tracks like that 👍:D

I thought of this, to make it more realistic, Division 1 WRS'ers can be team Ferrari and Division 3 Minardi .

maybe it should be a handicapped race to make div1 and div3 alike players comparable. setup variables enough (ballast, downforce) to allow this.
dont yet count me in cos of all other olr stuff going on.

ok list some tracks you would like to see
and
how long should the races take approx. timewise?
and
how many races?

thank you for your input and if it generates somemore interest the series will definatly be fun

tracks: le mans (short first and longer last), el capitan, midfield, forest, mountain, valley, laguna, fuji 90's, suzuka, laguna seca, apricot hill.

laps: i'd say start off with le mans. calculate its time for 3 laps. make that the average time for all tracks.

races: all of the above 12 (le mans 2x)

mode: gt please!

format: teams of 2 would be great

minimum number of participants: 10 or 12 teams of 2 racers

if you could get this all count me in, preferably starting oct/nov.

Here are my ideas.

The tracks should definatly include Nurburgring, Suzuka and La Sarthe I (Not II), the laps could range, I was thinking each track could be half of it's length in the Formula GT Championship, if the track isn't included in the Formula GT Championship, you couild just estimate the number of laps to make it as close to the other races 'timewise' as possible.

The cars and classes could be somthing like: Division 3 WRS - 0KG Ballast, Division 2 - 25KG Ballast, Division 3 WRS - 50KG Ballast, making the cars and team names more realistic, such as calling them Ferrari's and Red Bull Cosworth, would bee slightly more realistic, and in a way, funner.

The series could consist of 10-20 races, the longer you give for drivers to submit thier times before races, the less rounds there should be.

These are only my ideas, I hope you find them useful :).

i will move this to the long races forum and start a sign up thread!!

Yeah I was also thinking about an F1 tourney. If I think I can find the time I'll race.

I have been looking for an F1 series, too. I think that in an Arcade Mode/ Single Race section, each track should have at least 15 laps so that a tire change is required. Us whatever tires you like and if harder tires are preferred so that a driver doesn't have to pit then that is fine. Let's see how it makes a difference. The comp should be setup to involve as much race strategy as possible. All options on the table. No telling the setup until after all times are checked. No announcing the track ahead of time either.

It got moved to long races xrad. I think you can still join it also.
