Are the global times not good enough for you?

Are you sure Austailian times are necessatated on an international event?

The global times in each country are different?
The global times that have been set by GTP members to enable GTP member to meet other GTP members are 00-12-24-36-48, and are the same for all countries.

We don't really need one nation going off and doing it's own thing like it is not talking to the rest of us.

Locking.

daan,

It's not my business, I know, but I'd like to explain what ENERGIYA meant when he said "The global times in each country are different". Because he was (a bit clumsily) trying to do the exact opposite of what you wrote.

I know it because I've been racing with him at night (morning to him) and it took us a while to figure out something I didn't know before. At least where he lives, in Australia, there are time zones 30 minutes different from our (PT and UK) and from all others around the globe. So, when I wrote to him in a PSN message "join me xx.00", to him that was xx.30 in his time zone.

That's why he wrote "06-18-30-42-54". If you notice, such a schedule, in his time zone, is the only one he can follow to meet other GTP'ers following the known schedule of 00-12-24-36-48.

I thought you should know this.

Cheers,

daan
Thanks for pointing that out. His post didn't mention anything like that.

However, it will still remain locked, as the western and eastern sides of Australia can use the normal 00-12 etc times. It's only the central part that has the half hour difference.

http://www.gheos.net/js/worldtime/index.htm

A new thread for those members that have the half hour difference is not really required as the times should just have been added to the global thread.

I'll post this conversation in the locked thread.

Apologies to ENERGIYA for not understanding what you were on about, but you didn't explain yourself.
