Fallout 3 or Gears of War 2?

. I hav looked over alot of information, they both seem to be good .but I can only buy one.

Although I can't coment on GoW2 as I haven't played it, if you want a great single-player experience FO3 is the game to get. It's completely engrossing and bridges the gap really well between RPG and FPS games. If you like exploration and collecting items it's also the game for you and the game gives you a great feeling of being 'alone' in a vast post nuclear city/wasteland with hundreds of locations to explore. The VATS combat system is also a plus there's nothing quite like the satisfaction of taking down a charging Yao Guai with a perfect headshot at thirty yards! I haven't played my copy for a few weeks but that's only because Guitar Heroes World Tour is so addictive. I can't wait to get back into it over Christmas.

Did you watch the video reviews on IGN? You can get a pretty good idea of the two games from that. I'm assuming you have played the first Gears of War. Have you played Morrowind or Oblivion?
If you prefer single-player gaming, I would probably say to go for Fallout. I think GoW2's re-playability comes in the multiplayer, since the game is more linear than Fallout.

Both are great but different games. Fallout 3 has been explained above. Fallout 3 is single player only while GOW 2 is full co-op campaign and multiplayer.
GOW2 is way way better than GOW1. The story gets really good toward the end and holy crap the last level is just so awesome.
I also beat level 50 of horde. I like how you can put bots in for the multiplayer because I really suck playing against real people in this game plus the public matchmaking doesnt work right anyway. The only online modes I enjoy are respawing modes like Annex and King of the Hill. The capture the meat shield mode is also a blast. The cool part about the private matches and bots is that your friends can join at any time without interrupting the game. Plus when they leave a bot replaces them so the game is always full.
So the horde mode and the ability to play against bots and a really good campaign will keep me busy with this game for a while. I would like to eventually get the Seriously 2.0 achievement but thats going to be a lot of work. I have around 7,000 kills toward 100,000. Long way to go. Great game for sure. Graphics are easily the best I have seen in any game especialy the last levels of the game.
