I wonder if you have to purchase Fallout 4 off the Xbox Store, or if you just have to have the game on your hard drive? Because I'm going to be purchasing it from my local store, and the Rocket car would be pretty cool to have
Nope it's based on one of the 'old world' cars in fallout. A pre war car to say. It's entirely devised out of the rocket craze during the 50s. The fallout world is one that says the 50s styling and mindsets continued on much farther than it actually did.Perhaps it'll be modeled on a heavily modified Chrysler owned by a third party to get a handling and engine profile.
This sort of marketing rubbish can do one. There's so many manufacturers they could work with as they have with Honda in the past, and provide real world cars for marketing purposes.
Forza is isn't a sim. This car is a add on and has no meaning in terms of the actual game. Why are you so anti consumer?Supplies!
Very dissapointed, this is why I hate surprises especially when told to wait for something special. Even if I were to buy Fallout 4 I would not download this fantasy car. Forza is a sim, Turn 10 should just focus on creating and maintaining this illusion of reality. This would only kill that sense of immersion for me, I think it would have been more appropriate to give this car in Horizon 2 which is already arcadey and it would not seem that much out of place there.
Considering the post-apocalyptic 1950s-influenced look of Fallout 4, the F100 seems like one of the more likely cars one would come across in that game.I gotta ask, why the Ford F100?
I'm not really interested in these cars but it's odd to say they don't belong.
I personally wouldn't have chosen to include them, but they have already set precedent for it with the Halo Warthog in FM4.Would you care to elaborate why it's odd to say so? After all, Forza 6 isn't Fallout 4.

Fantasy tracks are one thing, they are just somewhere to race. Fantasy vehicles are an entirely different thing. I just hope that T10 are not opening Pandora's box here.
Well, they already had declared other things that might sway a decision, like the declared MOD support on xbox,Cool idea and all, but Fallout 4 is out next week, if this was meant to sway anyone's decision for which console they are buying Fallout 4 for, they cut it too close to launch. Lot's of people pre-ordered the game well in advance of launch. Including me for the PS4. Shame.
I honestly didn't know about the mod support. Well hmm maybe I can get my money back for the PS4 pre-order.Well, they already had declared other things that might sway a decision, like the declared MOD support on xbox,
and the free digital fallout3 back-compatible version.
So this exclusive car comes on top of already known offers as a last week extra-sweetener.
(controller alone is a reason for me to play this on xbox instead of ps4, not even taking in consideration that I'm waiting my elite controller order)

mod tool will be out december on pc and xbox support will come soon after that....and on PS4. It won't be available for either at game launch though.

ps4 support will come some time down the road, not when xbox support starts
fact is that there will be something like a time exclusive period for mod support on consoles in favor of xbox.Yes, not solely for XB1 as you implied
On the whole this cross-seeding of game bonuses is getting a little annoying, it's another face of the whole Game Rewards system that Microsoft in particular seem to be shoving down our collective throats at the moment, imo.
I think if MS didn't support them we wouldn't even have a Forza 6. It dosent really sell knock out numbers so it would probably have way less cars as well. Microsoft does excellent negotiations with the car companiesIt's quite fitting that this is brought up in a thread about marketing. The whole game is Microsoft's marketing dollars hard at work. If T10 were independent, I'm sure this game would be a lot more sim than it is. A lot of how it's structured is because MS market it as a game for everyone.
That's been true of every car with a locked, gifted livery for as long as I can remember. Only unlocked designs (basically anything you make yourself) can be modified. If you try to change "anything" on the truck cosmetically, the paint job goes away without recovery, oh well.
