Just found my first plasma rifle :D

There's also a gun called "That-Gun" It's 950ish caps. I suspect it's a con...

It's nothing special at all. Low-powered (~12 DMG) 5.56 pistol is all. If you can talk the talk, or pick locks you can get it for free in the Dino Gift shop in Sloan. ;)

Although saying that, I'm pretty sure Fallout: NV will have less problems in this regard because it's a different developer.

Different developer, same engine and according to many reviews the bugs are just as bad and in some ways more so.

Yup thats the problem. The game engine is very outdated and clunky. So all they did was use an existing engine loaded with bugs and created another game with it. As much as I love Fallout 3 and I am loving New Vegas, I wont buy another Fallout game until I know they use a new engine.

I just completed the game.
What? How much time?? Did you even get to enjoy the game at all?? I only have 7 hours into the game.
My first playthrough of Fallout 3 was at least 100+ hours as a good character. Then I played through 2 more times totalling 225 hours. I dont see myself "completing" my first playthrough of New Vegas for a very very long time. I am in no hurry.

I am disappointed that the game just ends there and you don't get to continue. I did make a few poor choices and could have done a bunch more quests before the final mission. I've just started a new game now so we'll see how this one goes. I'll try and go slower.

Only about 32 hours to answer your question.

How did you get 32 hours into the game already in 2 days? Do you work? Go to school? Live at home? Bought the game early?

I started playing it at about a quarter after midnight on the day it came out. Played all night and into the afternoon. I had I think 15 hours on the first day alone.

I have no life and am addicted to fallout. I have at least 350 hours into FO3 probably more. I'll probably play through this game another 10 times.

well it was known that like fo3 this would have a definitive ending. I imagine the expansions whenever they arrive will fix that.

I assume they will. It would be a real bummer if they don't. I found a huge sword right at the end and never got to use it.

That was the bad part about Fallout 3 also. It just ended and was quite disappointing. Then later they released "Broken Steel" which expanded the story. That DLC was phenomenal!! So we will hopefully expect a similar expansion to this story. Not that I have beat it yet, but like you said, when it ends your game ends.

It doesnt surprise me AT ALL. They used the exact same game engine from Fallout 3 and they know we will buy the DLC. So its not too surprising.

Funny glitch that happened to someone right at the VERY beginning of the game. :scared:

I guess there is a game ending bug about 10 hours into the game. This was posted by the same person that made the video above. It corrupts the file for 360 owners.

This bug seems to happen about 10-12 hours into the game and goes a little something like this…You go to continue your saved game and the game says that it can’t find your DLC downloads, would you like to start the game without the DLC items? Well, yes, I would, thank you. Couple seconds go by and the game then says it can’t find your hard drive, even though it’s attached to the console and in working order for every other game you own. The game then crashes back to the menu for you to repeat this 10x before you realize that your save file is corrupt.

My advice to you – if you own the 360 version, stop playing until a patch comes out. You don’t want to corrupt your save. If you still want to play it, avoid the quest called “Come Fly with Me” that you get shortly after leaving Novac. A lot of people think that the quest is the cause of the issues.

whats the deal with the boxes of ammo that have weight? something about surplus?

The cases? I have heaps of them and they weigh nothing and have no value. Anyone know? I also have (this many) 200 lead  but that doesn't weigh anything or have value either!

No. I think there is a perk that gives you them all. I haven't messed with it much though. I just buy ammo/guns. I do like the custom parts though. I had a silencer on my sniper rifle with AP rounds. That always put a smile on my face. :)

I found a spacesuit worth 900 caps that gives 40% radiation resistance. I dunno if I should sell it or not.

Also, this workbench breakdown recycling stuff has confused the heck out of me as there's no instructions! I much preferred the schematics way.

the cases and similar are simply for making ammo

break down means you can take apart ammo and use the parts for other ammo
