Funny glitch that happened to someone right at the VERY beginning of the game. :scared:

I guess there is a game ending bug about 10 hours into the game. This was posted by the same person that made the video above. It corrupts the file for 360 owners.

This bug seems to happen about 10-12 hours into the game and goes a little something like this…You go to continue your saved game and the game says that it can’t find your DLC downloads, would you like to start the game without the DLC items? Well, yes, I would, thank you. Couple seconds go by and the game then says it can’t find your hard drive, even though it’s attached to the console and in working order for every other game you own. The game then crashes back to the menu for you to repeat this 10x before you realize that your save file is corrupt.

My advice to you – if you own the 360 version, stop playing until a patch comes out. You don’t want to corrupt your save. If you still want to play it, avoid the quest called “Come Fly with Me” that you get shortly after leaving Novac. A lot of people think that the quest is the cause of the issues.
I qouted myself because the 10 hour bug almost happened to me.

Finally hit the 10 hour mark in this game and then it froze for the 2nd time I was a little nervous since people are saying the 10 hour mark has a game ending glitch with the DLC. I was able to keep playing but that was not a good feeling. Since Fallout 3 always had problems with the DLC, I dont think I will be purchasing it for Fallout NV.

I started a game on hardcore yesterday and it was alright but I swear a strong wind would cripple half my limbs and I couldn't do anything about it. I ended up turning it off.

:grumpy:

I have a game ending glitch. I just left the saloon at Boulder City and went in the right direction to kill some deathclaws. Mid route some legion a-holes showed up with a death warrant issued by caesar. Almost instant death so it reloads at the saloon at Boulder City but when I spawn, I spawn with fists not my gun and it's like my R1 button is jammed. I'm just constantly throwing punches in mid air. I can only change to a gun via pip boy and it fires once then I can't get it to shoot again.

Changed controllers, re loaded a manual save, re booted the PS3 and it's still there

I just put a silencer and a laser sight on my weathered 10mm pistol and now there is a big red box with a white ! all around me when I try and use it. The weapon also disappears in first person and the screen goes pale. I can't take the parts off either.

Sheesh what a disaster this game is turning out to be. This might go down in history as THE most buggy 360 game. :(

I doubt that, there are some seriously bad games out there. I still think they'll come out with a few patches eventually. At least this game as tons of redeeming features.

The only glitch I've had is that one ^^

The games been faultless up until that but I can't even play it now

I played Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and Fallout 3 until the discs were worn out, so I couldn't resist and got this one as well. Sleepless nights: here I come. :)

Just installed the 1.01 patch (PS3). Hope it fixes the glitches and bugs, despite me not having encountered any yet.

I just installed the patch for 360, I will find out tonight if it fixed any of the issues I have and if it fixes the 10 hour deal, I'm at 6 right now.

Got the game today - didn't have a choice but to install patch and the game...

Not had a chance to play it yet - but have installed it all so it's ready (and have turned off autosave!)

C.

That reminds me, I turned off autosave and it fixed the jitters! Thanks TA! It didn't fix the left analog stick on my controller that sticks and makes you walk forwards constantly though...

No problem. Just make sure you save every now and then and you'll be fine. The game will still autosave after important things so you might also want to make a second file just in case something happens.

19mb isn't very much. I doubt its a fix so much as it is a minor update.

I have a hookup cable for my HD to my pc for modding so I just make a backup of my save file every night after I get done playing in case a corruption does happen :)

EDIT: Anyone notice who's voice is in the game as Mr. New Vegas? Pretty cool since he is Mr. Las Vegas!

I just managed to kill my first deathclaw in this game. I've been killed by one or more at least 2-3 times. I was so happy that I killed 5-6 more. Of course I used over 40 stimpacks in the process but still... lol.

Come on guys, this is Bethesda we're talking about. Were you honestly expecting them to release a relatively bug-free game?

:dopey:

I was really planning on getting this tomorrow, but after reading about all the glitches and game ending stuff. Looks like I am going to pass, or atleast wait to see if the patches do anything.

Got this for the PC because I cannot stand any game like this on a console. I just can't get into it, there is something holding me back from NV that Fallout 3 had. I can't figure out what it is, but something is missing. Maybe it's just that it's an unpolished game?

I'll be curious to see how it goes, but I don't see myself really jumping into this anytime soon. I was really looking forward to this game too since I loved Fallout .

Hmm I just discovered another vault. I've been to Vault 3, 11 and 22 but I've just come across vault 19. Interesting.

Really? I much prefer console as I can lie on my couch and stare at my TV for hours and explore the wasteland :D

I haven't discovered anything, I get kind of freaked out going out into the wild after I got just destroyed by 3 gigantic scorpions! I actually get scared like I was watching a movie, the kind where you jump and get a chill when I'm playing sometimes. My entire room is dark and I have on my turtlebeach's so I hear every little sound and things will just sneak up on me and I hear it at the last second and turn around to see a scorpion bigger than I am, and also runs as fast as I do! Yikes!

I just found some giant ants that are bigger than the biggest scorpion and I can apparently go inside their ant mound. I passed.

I prefer my PC so I can lie in my Laz-e-boy and stare at the TV while exploring the wasteland . The joys of having you PC attached to a 42" TV with the switch of an HDMI cable.

I mean I suppose I could do the same thing with a console but I just think the PC is better in these cases since I can use a keyboard and mouse. Neither the PS3 or 360 controller really excites me for FPS'es.

One question I do have though, is there any safehouse you get like you did in Fallout 3? I have a lot of crap and no place to stick it.

I know exactly what you mean and I had that on Fallout 3 but I'm not feeling it in New Vegas for some reason.

Altho, when I'm right out in the middle of nowhere I keep hearing this trap door type noise. I spent 10 minutes once just looking for it. It was freaky.

You can buy a room in Novak I think ( the one with the giant T-Rex ) but you can also get awarded rooms.
