Be careful! The CSR-Elite and the CSW will have other mounting holes than the Porsche Wheels and the CSR. It will be 3 holes in a triagle! We will release a new drilling template definitely before the wheels will be shipped out to you.

Grr, was planning on mounting the CSR-E to my T500-WSP. Guess I am going to have to drill some new holes into it.

Wonder if Thomas plans on updating the Rensport wheel stand to support it? Would be interesting to compare these 2 different wheel stands
 
Thanks a lot! Would be tough to do a proper comparison to the T500Rs if the CSR-E was mounted to my table haha. A wheel with this power will surely be best experienced with some sort of hard mount

I am still interested in comparing the wheel stands I think. I suspect the Fanatec Rensport wheel stand to be more flexible than my T500rs-WSP. What I mean is the WSP requires mods to properly mount a CSP kit (WSP-US told me they could ship me an additional kit for a low price to their credit). However the Rensport stand appears to be able to mount a T500rs pedal or CSP directly from what I've seen in photos, etc w/o needing to order additional pieces. This makes it quite a bit cheaper, etc - quick edit

This was false information. Sorry. The CSR E will be fully compatible to the PW and CSR holes.

Fantastic. In excitement I have already put it together for the most part when I received it and would be a hassle to get back in the box. But I didn't know it take this long for the CSRE to come out. Looking forward to the reviews coming up.

Hi Guys,

First post here. I posted this on the 911 Wheel blog and got some help from Simracer94 but wasn't entirely clarified. Anyways I understand Beta Testers who were voted by their respective communities such as here and forzamotorsport.net have already been sent there wheels but what about those who applied through thomas's blog? Have the applicants over there been notified of there acceptance. If I haven't been emailed yet is it safe to say I didn't make it?

I'm gathering that these are almost the same design as the CSR Elite, but without holes on the pedal faces and missing the load cell on the brake. Am I missing anything else?

2 questions: would the load cell offer a huge advantage for the average racer, and I is the force feedback on the CSR strong enough? I really think the CSR is the right choice for me but the only reason I'm also considering the elite is the extra strong force feedback, I am not good enough of a racer to notice the added precision, and won't utilize all the added tuning features either, just want to know has anyone had to turn down the FFB on their CSR because it was too strong?... thanks
 
With no patch as of yet to address the 900 degree steering glitch in FM4, would the trick that worked in the demo, work in the full game? If so, I kinda, well, I kinda forgot the trick, if anyone has the link to F-Wheel where Sonac posted up the glitch?

Load cell definitely is an advantage and it can't be beat for pedal feel....., it actually feels like the brake in a car. If you can afford it they are worth it.

FFB strength is subjective.....what some consider too strong others consider not strong enough. I turn down the FFB on my CSR for GT5 to 70 ( in game setting is at 10) In Forza I have it set at 100. I actually wish it was a little firmer but it's still quite nice as is. That's not a fault of the wheel I just think the FFB coding in Forza is a little lighter than it could be.

As Fanatec would say... a good wheel feels good, good pedals make you faster! I had a hard time with consistant brake control without a load-cell.

I run the FF on my CSR at 80%-90%.
 
Just watched the recent TWISR from ISR. They talked about the CSR Elite Beta Poll, and our thread was shown! Congratulations, we've gotten the attention of ISR! ;)

Looking at this picture, it looks like the hole placement will bring the rim alot closer to you.
My PWTS rim is 190mm from the nearest holes, the CSR Elite looks much bigger.
 
does this plate with the holes come with the wheel or this is a custom made solution?

You have to hardmount it.
Or using the optional ClubSport Table clamp.

The adapter plate as shown matches the current holes to mount it on any stand/cockpit or table clamp suitable for previous wheels.

Ive been testing attached to the Fanatec wheelstand.
Just ordered a 2nd stand yesterday to do fair/equal tests with other wheels in the comparison.

Ive had a V1 for a longtime, not sure the differences in the V2.
Probably minor regards the upright and fastening method.

If buying one though do get the pedal plate as well.

I'm planning to make one myself :) but it will have better speaker positioning and mounts for tactile.

I have also talked to rSeat guys, they seemed very positive so I'm going to try that one as well.

Ok... I will only get it at the sane time as I get the wheel weather that is reviewing or personal.. however I am talking the CSW here as I'm pretty sure I am only being sent that :)
