Looking at the CSR E I start to wonder if that wouldn't be a better option for me as an owner of all 3 platforms. Plus I noticed Forza had some form of tougé which would be nice to drive with a real wheel. *sigh* still a CSW at a nice price is too tempting. Maybe I need to save up for a CSR or something for the 360. Decisions... decisions...

Yeah that's why I went with the CSR-E cause I have all 3 platforms too.

Btw, that playseat is looking real sexy with that wheel

Question: My CSPs' brake pedal now makes a loud squeaking noise when I use them. This makes me so sad because they're been really stellar thus far. I have the free tuning kit with some lubricant, etc. Can I use those to fix this? Searching the forums is yielding zero results.

Just waiting on Thomas for the answers....
I sent 15 questions so I'm not 100% sure if I sent that but i know 360 won't support the LED I believe thomas mentioned it a while ago in a vid.

Grr, now I know why messengers often get killed in movies. It's just a simple knee jerk response apparently :(

Just use the metal lube and drip into the seems of the moving parts and depress the pedal each time you drip a part. Repeat until the squeak is gone. Also think about springs rubbing against the metal bar that might squeak.

Maybe you have made the better choice about the wheel. I hope it's too your liking so far as you are probably testing it now. I know you can't respond to this now but I look forward to your review. ;)

Oh I haven't gotten my CSR-E yet but it should be here soon 👍

Thanks for the advice I'll give that a try right now

[edit] Thanks that's all I had to do :D

Sandbox, did you come up with a solution to your foot plate problem yet? I never heard back from you with a definitive length.

Glad the squeaks are gone, but not so glad to hear not everyone has their wheel. Means I have to wait longer still. I should become a monk and consider this training. Lol

So the Clubsport wont be compatible at all with Xbox 360, or it just wont utilize the LED?

That FM logo makes it much worse looking for me, just by covering it with your finger it starts to look as good (really good) as it deserves. (And no, don't have anything against FM.)

He was answering for the CSR Elite, which is xbox compatible but doesn't support LED rev counters. The ClubSport Wheel doesn't have Xbox support but does support LED rev counters. Also the CSW gets lots of different wheels and accessories from what I hear from Thomas in the YouTube videos.

Pardon me if it's already been asked or is just downright stupid, but does anyone know if the CSR/CSR Elite pedals can be hooked up to a G27 wheel?

Not as far as I know. The CSR pedals are definitely Fanatec only. The CSR Elites have a USB connection to use it as a separate device. Though that means it won't work on the ps3.
So unless there is a cable for it which I can't find quickly via google then it's a no.

Someone may have to correct me, but I don't think they can be on PS3 or 360, since the pedals must be connected to the wheel. That is, I don't think you can hook either pedal directly up to a G27 wheel.

I agree fanatec pedals can't be used with g25/27 for either ps3 or xbox unless there is a adapter to connect to steering wheel that I don't know about

Wow the wait for the csr elite is killing me lol. I've never checked this forum so much in one day. November has felt like it has gone by really fast until I pre ordered the csr elite now it feels like its never gonna end haha.

The CSR Elite will have different wheels too, but not with quick release.

On this comment on 911wheel.de Thomas kind of gave away that the BMW wheel is confirmed for the CSR Elite:

wieviel habt ihr den für die werbung bezahlt *gg* und wieso ist tim nicht mit dem bmw lenkrad gefahren??

1. das war eher andersrum

2. Weil es das noch nicht für die Xbox gibt

This was a comment about driving the M5 in Forza 4

Translation:

How much did you pay for the advertising and why didn't you use the BMW wheel.

Answer:

1. It was the otherway around
2. Because is not YET available for the XBOX

Most of or even all the accessoiries for the CSW will also available for the CSR Elite since they use the same base.

I forgot to mention the wheels for the Elite properly, but I knew about it. Thanks for correcting.
I am surprised though that the accessories will be available for the elite as well (something that Thomas didn't mention in his post that you quoted but added yourself). That would mean the only selling point left is the quick release and rev counter support, which doesn't justify the extra costs in my opinion. Especially now Thomas suggested there might be a BMW wheel for the Elite since there isn't one yet.
I am getting more and more the idea that the Elite will be better then the CSW.

Thanks for the answers everybody. Sucks though; I really want to replace my G27 pedals without buying a new wheel or going aftermarket. You know, for better heel-toe action. I know you can mod them, but that's really a route I don't want to take.

I suppose I'm left option-less?

I guess you are. So you need a new set I guess. Besides the G27 is getting old tech wise compared to the newer stuff out there. So it might be refreshing to try some new toy. ;)

I would except that in about a year I'll be heading off to college, so a major investment doesn't make sense.

After college though, boy... I'll knock myself out! :dopey:

Also, how much do you reckon one could sell a G27 today? 💡

I'm in the same boat about CSW or Csr e..

The quick.release and that BMW rim is tempting though. Plus Thomas mentioned an actual f1 rim

Let's not als forget the developing time:

There will be more wheels for the CSW and probably also for the CSR Elite, but if you take in account that a CSS and a Clubsport handbrake was mentioned a year ago, you'll probably have to wait long for any wheel that is not available at the release.

After the introduction of the CSR Elite and later the CSW, the focus of Fanatec will most likely be on the CSS and Clubsport handbrake, and i won't be supprised if we have to wait a very long time for the extra wheels to be developed, annouced, produced and finally shipped to the end user.

Still the CSW wheel will be awesome, but i ordered the CSR Elite (for now)

Maybe i will also buy the CSW. This would be mainly for the advanced electronics funcion and the fact that after the 'launch" F1 wheel, there will also be a advanced "full" F1 wheel in the future.

The smart thing for now is buying the CSR Elite and wait untill next year CSW is available with all its options and wheels. By this time there might also be some info available about the next gen consoles, which could influence the decision of buying a CSW and maybe selling the CSR Elite.

Good luck with college then and I really don't know a thing about the 2nd hand market. Maybe someone else can fill in that detail. In my case I would just look at eBay and so on to find prices.

@amf7: look at HoiHmn his post. The BMW rim might come to the Elite and if that's true then only for open wheelers you'd want a CSW as that will be the only advantage left I guess. Oh, that and adjustable paddles.
I'm starting to lose the point of putting a CSW on the market though. You could bring the adjustable paddles to the Elite as well as open wheel style rims without rev counters. The only limit you have on the Elite is the way the rim has to connect to the base and the button limit plus no extra features possible like rev counters. The more I think about it the more the CSW looks less appealing.

Thomas could you please clarify where you want to go with both products, cause I am kinda loosing the point here. Thanks in advance if you do.

Yeh I see the point...

The gimmick of QR is possibly rubbing off. The ffb will be the same I guess. The bonus is all the rims but until a list if rims are announced its hard to decide. Of course if I review the CSW then I would just get a CSW LOL

Yeah, but thats an offer you can't refuse. Having the wheel for cheap, I'll gladly take it and give it the attention it deserves in a review. Although the way things are standing in my mind currently I am jealous at those Elite reviewers/testers. Oh well, guess I'll stick to the silly MS wheel I got for now for the Xbox. ;)

Had one of those too, still beats playing Forza 4 with a controler.
The difference with the PWTS was unbelievable.
The CSR was so mucht better than the PWTS
Imagine how good the CSR Elite gonna be.

Here's my unboxing of the CSR Elite pedals. I know you already know everything about them, but it doesn't hurt posting it, right? :) I will also post CSR Shifter set and Clubsport table clamp unboxings later today. CSR Elite wheel unboxing coming after the embargo is lifted ;)
