It took Thrustmaster bout a year to finally release a rim so I fear it might take a long time to make additional rims![]()
FanatecPerhaps you misunderstood something. The xbox certification limits our options on the default rim but we are indeed working on alternative wheel rims for the CSR E as well. But I am not sure if those rims will be shipped earlier than the CSW.

Fanatec... Stated:
"The xbox certification limits our options on the default rim but we are indeed working on alternative wheel rims for the CSR E as well. But I am not sure if those rims will be shipped earlier than the CSW."
The speculation being, is that the wheel has been released and conforms to Xbox licensing. Do addons need to also conform? Is he implying that the future rims may not have this limitation? That is the speculation I speak of.
I really like your speculation VWMaster. I have no intention of buying the CSW anytime soon since I only play Xbox right now, so a better rim with more features for the CSR Elite sounds great.
@erahk64
See that is a tough call. Thomas is quite a smart guy. I wonder if they found a way around the licensing by making the initial package xbox compatible and then all additional wheels are not considered "compatible" because they have extra this or that on them.
http://www.911wheel.de/?q=node/7641Despite all the achiements we made this year there is still a lot of work to be done and we still need to deliver some things we actually wanted to have done this year:
Webshop distribution in Japan and Australia
The new Fanatec website
ClubSport Wheel
ClubSport shifter
ClubSport Handbrake
(Edit: ) Alternative CSR E wheel rims
@erahk64
I will try to use different terms. What I mean is that the package as it is today is compliant with Xbox Licensing and compatible fully with the console. Lets say that the license requires a controller to have the same amount of buttons as the official controller for xbox and use proprietary wireless technology "X" to connect. Fanatec could have created this wheel and had it tested and approved by microsoft. Maybe it's possible for secondary wheels to be offered that aren't compliant as the initial wheel and base have already passed. So any new feature on these wheels wouldn't be supported by xbox, but doesn't mean that PS3 and PC would not support them.
@amf7
Yeah I noticed that yesterday. So was this a mistake in grammar or a leak?
