Did you update the firmware to the fullforce version before this happnened? Still holding off updating mine.Mine is cooked. Waiting to hear from them (here we go...) sent crash logs and such. I was trying. I wiped everything (drivers and anything fanatec on my PC) and even tried the legacy driver for when things are really borked. All I get is a left turn in game. The wheelbase firmware hangs and loops every time I try and fix it.Did you update the firmware to the fullforce version before this happnened? Still holding off updating mine.
I was playing just now with latest firmware 1.9.1.1 and it was fine until I increased the sensitivity (in game) from 2 to 5, disconnected almost immediately after (max torque on 4, FFB on 100). Rebooted, lowered it back and it was fine again. Tried lowering FFB to 80 and it was then ok with higher sensitivity. I don’t know what to conclude from that but hopefully someone with greater knowledge of the hardware will be able to draw some conclusions.Updated my dd pro to latest firmware and now I am experiencing constants disconnects.
If your wheel is functioning on the older firmware, my advice is to leave it as is. There is nothing special about full force.
Very interesting regarding sensitivity. There is clearly some overload protection feature in the base that’s causing these disconnects but how it works and what the limits are is still unknown. Also it seems that while some experience disconnects a few are getting brickedI was playing just now with latest firmware 1.9.1.1 and it was fine until I increased the sensitivity (in game) from 2 to 5, disconnected almost immediately after (max torque on 4, FFB on 100). Thanks for this. This workaround seems to be working for me. Tried both lower sensitivity with ffb at 100 and ffb at 80 with sensitivity at 10.I was playing just now with latest firmware 1.9.1.1 and it was fine until I increased the sensitivity (in game) from 2 to 5, disconnected almost immediately after (max torque on 4, FFB on 100). No worries, pure luck I discovered it, I know very little about settings in general 🤣Thanks for this. This workaround seems to be working for me. Tried both lower sensitivity with ffb at 100 and ffb at 80 with sensitivity at 10.
Thanks!!! 🙏
I wanted to directly address this post...That's me staying on 455 for the foreseeable then. They really need to get their **** together, then again they've needed to do that for a while when it comes to firmware updates.
I mainly play on PC these days so if my DD Pro ever dies I'll be going elsewhere for a replacement. The wheelbase is the only Fanatec product I still use as I've got a Leoxz wheel and Simnet pedals.
I tested newest firmware on DD Pro with GT7 on auto setup and can confirm I am also affected by the loss of FFB - it happened half way through Nords lap. Tried my luck as I was not affected with base shutdowns with first Full Force firmware.
Base did not shut down for me, but rather lost all feeling, but was still able to steer. I paused when that happened, so not sure if it would shut down completely later.
I was able to complete a lap after turning down FFB to 80 and FUL to 0 on base. Not sure which one helped, but I would guess it might have been FUL as I increased torque in GT7 settings, so the resulting FFB strength was similar as with FFB on 100.
Don’t know what your budget is, but its the DD Pro that’s affected. The added Torque & Full force are causing the HW to run near the limit w settings turned up so they and/or PD need to put in some limitersDamn for me the sole reason I wanted a DD club was because of the full force feature. I don’t have the wheel yet but want to get one come Black Friday. This is frustrating and gamers shouldn’t be trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t these wheels are not cheap toys. Get it together Fanatec. We should be racing and having a good time. Not scratching our heads or worrying about a bricked unit. I hope they figure it out soon and GT figure it out also and they can work together to fix this mess. They really shouldn’t be taking anymore orders of these bases until it’s solved. But it’s business as usual.
