If you don't mind, maybe you can pm me to explain how to do it... I absolutely have no clue how to do it 🤭
I'll answer here too in case anyone else needs it. :)

Just start PS5 and CS DD+ with a steering wheel that has a PS button to press and assign CS DD+ as controller and then put the other steering wheel without the buttons.
But I'm not sure in which games you'll be able to navigate the menus at the same time with the PS5 controller and assigned CS DD+ as the main controller to drive with.

GT 7 Update 1.60 is here! And so FULL FORCE! Yay! Oh wait. It's not. Carry on. :D
iRacing just implemented Full Force. I'm hoping they utilize it in their Nascar 25 game releasing later in the year. Considering the DD+ is the official wheel of GT7 you'd think PD would support it by now. Oh wait, this is Gran Turismo we're talking about.

Tbf, that's on Fanatec. Even after all this time, the implementation in iRacing is heavily bugged and unstable due to Fanatec's messy firmware. Once they straight the tech up in iRacing, hopefully GT7 will get it too.

It's a Catch 22. It's on the game publisher to implement it in the game first, then provide feedback to Fanatec what they need on their end to get it working properly. We don't know that PD has taken that step, but I doubt it based on their record of doing things. At least with iRacing being the first to use it they have gotten the ball rolling. Let's hope others follow suit.

According to Fanatec, Full Force has been supported by the firmware for the past year waiting for some dev team to pick it up.
Well, if I read this:

I'm not really wondering anymore why no one implemented it so far. If it really is that buggy/bad (which is perfectly believable given that EVERYTHING about this wheel is still buggy 1.5 years after the launch), it makes sense that they all held it back. They saw how bad it is.

It's 100% on Fanatec. Their software has been exceptionally buggy for a very long time now. No wonder no developer wanted to implement their tech. The good part is with iRacing being the first in taking a stab in it, the ball has finally started to roll and we can now hope for more widespread adoption.

There seems to be a bug with GT DD Extreme/driver 469 and the mouse on Gran Turismo 7 is moving by itself.
ACP mode in analog axes is work around.

Just the extreme or anything w the APM? Couldn’t tell from comments so far

I guess broken by this fix:
  • Fixed Analogue Axis of APM paddles not working on PlayStation.
I suspect there are some documentation lapses with staff turnover walking out w tribal knowledge of how things work - not the first oops on control mappings in the bases given the number of base/wheel/platform combos that need to be managed

I know the FANATEC crew gets pounded on constantly on their official forums, but it's stuff like constant buggy firmware updates that give users plenty of ammo.

Scared to death to load any firmware past what was included from driver 455 on my DD+. I've been mostly playing GT7, F125 and ACC, but now that I've ventured into LMU on PC, I fear I will eventually need to update to get the most out of that base.

So hard to advise on this - some bases like mine have handled every update/downgrade I’ve done - others have major issues. I can only speculate that pandemic era parts sourcing issues and/or quality control problems during the TJ troubles led to inconsistent production. Fanatec should really come up w a trade out program for those affected out of warranty or offer extensions - would certainly help w improving their reputation

Don’t feel alone in this boat. I’m right there with you.
Never touched an update past the original 455 and the slight coil whine from early days is either completely gone or I’m 100% tone deaf to it these days.
Either way I’ve never had an issue with disconnects or shifters not working so I’m not looking to try new updates unless something groundbreaking is unleashed and vetted.

Speaking of FANATEC Software.....And here we go...Who's going to be the first to test this out!? Their Control Panel and FANALAB all in one package.

If you don't play on a PC you don't need this PC App, at least for now.
Also don't expect it to be as well polished as Fanatec Control Panel and FanaLab.

I did just read over on the FANATEC forum, one of their members recommending to stick with the old software for now. I'm guessing it's not quite ready for prime time.
I'm starting to mess around with LMU on PC along with still playing GT7, ACC and F125 on PS5. I've yet to see any reason why update past the firmware included with DRIVER 455, but I suspect the more I play LMU and the more that game evolves, I will have to update at some point.

It looks much cleaner compared to the Windows 98 inspired control panel we have now. Having said that, I won't be trying it thank you very much 😂

Hi,

hope you can help me with the settings

I had the gt dd+ until now and got along great with the settings from reddit.

Now I have the clubsport extreme with the Mclaren steering wheel and it feels weird. I also found settings but maybe they are outdated.

I can also set fewer things on the extreme.

I no longer have 5 profiles but only 2 A Set and C Set.

I have Sen, FFB, Full Force, NDP, MPS, Brake force and that's it.

The light is blue which is PS5 mode and I think the firmware was 486, in any case it wouldn't update on the pc.

Maybe someone can tell me his settings.

Preferably also ingame settings torque and sensitivity.

Many thanks in advance

You need to switch the tuning menu to Advanced mode. You can do that either through the Fanatec software on PC, or by holding the tuning button down for a few seconds (if I remember correctly it should show on the display when it changed to advanced mode)
