Hi all,

Got a CSL GT DD Pro Premium Bundle for the PS5 and looking to potentially swap out the steering wheel.

Any recommendations on both mid-tier and top-tier steering wheels to switch to?

Thanks! :)

GT DD Pro? Did you preorder or did you actually receive it?

Pre-ordered, just getting all the ducks in a row but have heard the steering wheel might be worth a change out - so wanted to see what people think might be better options!

Hi mate I have been using my GT CSL DD Pro for a few weeks now, and the steering wheel feels ok and it does a good job. I am a lot quicker with it than my Fanatec CSL Elite wheel.

If you are looking for an alternative and isnt planning on drifting/rallying, the mclaren gt3 wheel is a really nice wheels for the price.

I plan on having both for my GT CSL DD Pro, I like the feel of the original wheel and the fact that you have access to all setup quickly is nice as well. I'll use the GT3 wheel on pc for RRRE or ACC.

Clubsport V2 hub (includes the clubsport magnetic paddle shifters) and aftermarket 35 cm wheel of your choice. In fact, several aftermarket wheels of your choice (for $40-$60) and swap out to your hearts content. If you have $650 and like the smaller wheels that sim industry loves to ram down throats, then podium Porsche GT3 wheel.

I have the GT DD Pro and bought the McLaren V2, honestly I enjoy using both. The McLaren is a good rim and the shifter feel is quite good, can get a little rattly with the buttons at times when you get some real shudder. If anything the GT wheels is better in that respect, but I like the extra diameter of the McLaren wheel.

Did you notice a loss of feeling by way of kerbs and rumble strips when you went from the stick wheel to the Mclaren GT3 wheel?

Reason I ask, I just went to that rim from the stock CSL elite wheel….. first thing I noticed was the loss of intricate detail. Wanted to know if it’s the rim, or the wheelbase.

I’m looking to hear the reviews of the CSL DD for GT7 before I get one. But I might splurge on a DD1 too. Not sure yet

Can't wait till March, I ordered the GT DD Pro 5nm (might get the boostkit later on) does anyone know if they start shipping the March 14th? Or do they make sure delivery is on the 14th (which would be sweet)?
So it's a UK German company but they ship from warehouses in the EU? Hopefully there's one near 😇

Fanatec is a German company.

CBH

Oh than I don't know where I got it from that they were from the UK... but thanks for the correction

Would you perhaps know if Fanatec will send out their GT DD Pro bundles on the 14th of March? Or before so that hopefully they arrive the 14th :P

Sometime in March most likely on the 14th they will send them out, and that's all I know my friend.

The website works fine for me. I just did what you're planning to do.

Seems to be an issue with the EU region of the site :( Also hearing some people do have the issue others don't but it must be something server side cause I tried a lot of browsers and they all failed to load it correctly even with clearing the caches etc.

I didn't really, though I did turn up feedback a little as the extra diameter of the wheel would mean that forces are reduced at your hands as you have more of a lever to work with.

Anyone know when the base will be available separately? It was mentioned last year but I've heard nothing.

Figured I grab the Club Sport V3 pedals, so even if I can only buy just the GT wheel and base sans pedals I'd be down with that.

If the only option is to buy the base alone, then hopefully the wheel will be available separately too?

I think they will sell everything separate a few months after GT7 launch when they can be sure they have the stock available.

The GT DD Pro is back in stock. Same goes for the Boost Pack.
But sadly the Load Cell Kit which is included in the GT DD Pro Premium Bundle isn’t available before March 14th.
Maybe @DomB_Fanatec knows something if there is a chance they might get them back in stock earlier than stated on their Official Homepage.
I ordered the Premium Bundle on February 11th.
Everything except the Boost Kit was out of Order so I was not expecting the Bundle to be shipped earlier.
Than today I checked their Homepage again and to my surprise, the GT DD Pro is back in Stock.
Only the Load Cell Kit is still not available…
On the other Side these Guys are super quick in managing their Orders.
Yesterday, February 14th, I ordered the McLaren GT3 V2 Wheel, and to my Surprise today I received my UPS Tracking Mail which says my Wheel will be delivered tomorrow. Awesome stuff @DomB_Fanatec . That’s some amazing Customer Service, thumbs up to you Guys.

You see what I mean about Europe being faster? I ordered a WRC rim on Feb 10th, processed the 11th and still have no tracking #.

Yes Mate, it always had its advantages sitting next to your Source :D 500km or how I would call it “just around the Corner“

And it's gone, just saw it this morning and when I wanted to order, it did go back to pre-order...
Live Chat told me that actually that stock was for previous pre-orders, so even if I would have pressed order in time, still I wouldn't have received one.
Confusing and frustrating that this wheel can't be purchased ready for the GT7 launch and honestly, as I buy it only for GT7, I strongly consider just upgrading my T300 to the T-GT 2, with the hope that the T-DFB will be also available for GT7, as it was present in GTS.

@Chazy90 Ah that’s pity, damn. But as long as you still have your current T300, at least you won’t miss out the start of GT7 like I most probably will
But anyway my honest advice would be to not take the tgt2 in consideration yet.
As good as it is, but I strongly believe you might regret it.
Although if you’re only planning to use it for GTS it might be an adequate Option.
And as long as we don’t know if GT7 will support its T-DFB and you have a T300, I would not pull the trigger yet.
Just my thoughts :)

Edit: I just checked the European Fanatec Website a minute ago and there, it says that the 849€ and the 699€ Bundles are available…

Well it showed up again, called them to confirm and placed my order, so I will have the GT DD Pro Basic Bundle next week probably.
Will have to see how my Playseat Challenge holds up and if it's all ok, I will order then the Boost Kit.
I hope that next week when I receive it, I won't be disappointed :)

Good choice, congrats on your new Wheel  I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed, if anything you‘ll love it.
I would really appreciate it to hear back on some of your thoughts when everything is in place and ready to go.

I can imagine that it‘ll work fine on your Playseat Challenge with the 5NM Supply.
