You've acted like a total arse, so the best thing for you and Fanatec is that you get a full refund and buy a different set up, what's hard to understand about that?

Perhaps in future disputes you'll opt to use a little decorum, you'll find it's more likely to get you the desired outcome.

I paid full price and simply awaited delivery.

There is no "decorum" involved/

They ask for money, in return they ship product.

Simple as that.

They TOOK my money willingly and then FAILED to ship product that is in stock.

That is actually fraud - perhaps Fanatec will learn better business practices next time.

What is so hard to understand about that?

its hard to understand why you would still want it. must say a lot for Fanatec products that youre still interested in receiving. just take the refund that was offered to you and buy a G27 or T500RS. no?

I already have a G25 and have a T500 on order. I want the full Fanatec setup to evaluate them all back to back.

Fanatec actually made a huge mistake acting the way they did - this was a chance for Fanatec and Thomas to redeem themselves in front of a new product but instead he chose to act the way Fanatec always has - with pure arrogance.

Way to win over the people that are already turning to Thrustmaster.

He has no idea who I am or who I represent, but is confident I am "just another customer so who cares" - the wheel sets sent to ISR etc to test do NOT represent the retail product and experience - the way Fanatec handles the "rest of the sales" are the real story.

It is now a matter of principle.

I have paid money - they have accepted the money and sat on it for a time - they have the product in stock - they better ship the product.

This is a battle of wills that cannot have a good outcome for Fanatec unless they ship the product as paid for.

Please send my regards to agent Scully.

RC....while I completely see where you're coming from, you as thaw consumer have a choice. You can choose to have it refunded and purchase another set of pedals elsewhere, making your voice heard by no helping the cause that is bad customer service.

I've gone ahead and re-purchased everything separately, exactly as Thomas had instructed us, giving him the oppurtunity to be a man of his word. If by tomorrow, nothing had shipped, I'll again have my order refunded and buy elsewhere if he as a businessman can not follow through on what he's promised. You as the consumer have thy option, and there is no louder a voice than taking your business elsewhere.

I own a business as well, a screenprinting company. When I'm busy, I adjust to working longer days and nights, to fit my customers needs. Sometimes 20 hours a day if need be, but I make sure I follow through on every single order placed, and everyone of my customers is happy, regardless how large or small the order. My customers could, and should, go elsewhere if I can not provide that for them.

I really do hope you get your pedals my friend...we all do. But actions certainly speak louder than words, and I hope that you make the right decision and in then end, are happier for it. Cheers, and best of luck!

Yeah - I know I have the choice to toss in the towel on this one - but I won't be able to perform a G25/27/T500/GT2ClubSport back to back without the Fanatec items - I would hate the review video to be "Fanatec failed to ship so could not be tested" - I still feel the product needs a fair shake.

I am able to put aside differences and still focus on the task at hand - something I hope Fanatec can also do.

You're going through all of this to make some videos? ISR does plenty of videos already on all of these wheels, have done "wheel shootouts" in the past, and I'm sure will do more. Also, they've done a video dedicated to the CSP, and the full GT2 review should be out any day now (and I'm sure they'll talk about customer service, as they read all of these forums). I think they've got it covered...but whatever floats your boat I guess?

Hope you get your pedals soon, my friend! :)

My take is that Fanatec is doing their best to deal with high demand. Wheels are at a premium right now. One that can handle all systems for the price Fanatec offers should expect incredible demand. Ironically, Fanatec might be better off raising prices to balance demand. Thomas does his best to communicate. I rarely see any company leader addressing multiple forums at once. While I see your frustration RC45, and I feel a lot of the same frustration as a customer, you have to kind of take a step back and realize that Fanatec is trying hard to handle huge demand with a company model not built to handle it right now. Should they change? They should probably make a few changes to service and shipping policies. I would also expect an increase in prices as they must build company infrastructure to handle that. But, I firmly believe Fanatec are trustworthy, genuine people that are just working through the pain of the market and eager customers.

Thats th epoint though isnt it? It is their opinion.

I want to be able to decide for myself what they feel like compared to each other.

Hope you get your pedals soon, my friend! :)
So do I - wont be the first time I have put a companies custoemr service to the test only to find th eproduct outsines the service - and then have said so afterwards.

I still believe in giving everyone and every product a chance.

I am sure you realise they went through the exact same "pains" at the release of the 911 Turbo, the GT3 and now the GT2 wheel. This has turned into a pattern for them. Year after year the same issues and same excuses occur.

And dont kid yourself, Fanatec is not that small of a company - they have been selling full retail branded wheels since the XBox days - they had a full retail XBox steering whel and pedal set about 4 years ago. It sold here thought Gamestop/EB Games/Bets Buy and Fry's etc.

Anyway, my only real point all along has been "If you are asking people to order individually, then please ship the product".

So is this going to be some "underground" video session for your own amusement or do you work for some magazine or other type of media?

I really don't think if you are a reputable tester you would be taking this to a public forum.

I also see in the Thrustmaster thread you talk about getting a T500 from Fry's then plan on taking it back after your "testing" session is over? I don't get this at all, that almost borders on illegal or shady at best to buy something with absolutely no plan to keep it. 👎

Since when is purchasing a product illegal?

Sincfe when is returning a procuct illegal?

And finally - you have never hear dof the "mystery shopper" concept, have you? But not to worry Fanatec have done themselves far more dmage by "arguing" rather than shipping product, than any "mystery shopper' bad review ever could.

And the "reality" of this buying experience with Fanatec is far more "reputable" than any specially prepped and shipped product provided to a tester for free evaluation - conflict of interest always comes to mind.

All I want is the goods shipped ;)

So what are you going to tell customer service at Fry's when they ask why your returning the T500? That your finished testing it?

Talk about unethical lmao pot kettle black

And you have never returned a product after your changed your mind? Sure - try anaother one.

So what are you going to tell customer service at Fry's when they ask why your returning the T500? That your finished testing it?

Dont have to tell them a thing. I may keep the T500 and put the Fanatec setup on eBay - or keep the Fanatec and return the T500 to Fry's.

Their policy is 'money back' if customer so desires. What is so hard to understand?

Makes one wonder exactly what kind of shiw they run then.

I kept my mouth shut for a while about my CSP order that has been paid yet is still just "pending" since last year - now all these orders placed AFTER mine are getting shipped.

Fanatec really is a poor company to deal with - only those who suckup and pander to them seem to get ANY response to their paid orders.

WTF Thomas?

Are you guys running a business or a fan club?

I handled this in a pretty simple way. I placed my order for the GT2, wheel stand and standard pedals on 12/15/10. On 12/28/10, I received the GT2, but no pedals or wheel stand. I emailed Fanatec and was told that the pedals and wheel stand would not ship until January. I thought about it for a few days and decided to cancel the order for the wheel stand and standard pedals and I instead ordered the Clubsport pedals, in part because I realized my wheelstandpro would work well and because I have read many happy reports about the Clubsport pedals. Yes, I was polite and professional to the Fanatec folks I exchanged email with, but there was no sucking up or pandering.

Fanatec is apparently not able to ship the Clubsport package right now, at least in part because they lack one or more of the parts for it. Its no different than going into a store and seeing that they don't have what you want. If you don't want Fanatec to hold your money (or your credit card company's money), then ask for a refund and move on. They cannot ship what they don't have.

My two cents, take em or leave em.

I have been waiting for the Clubsport Pedals ONLY.

That has been my point from the get go. And I never even brought up the shipping delay until Thomas VOLUNTEERED that individual orders are being shipped. I have not been waiting for the GT2 wheel - I have had that since Decemebr 14 or so.

See my frustration now? All I am waiting for is a a set of Clubsport Pedals... ordered and paid for individually. So technically, I shoudl not even be in this thread - I do not have and have never had a GT2 Clubsport Edition PACKAGE on order - I have paid for and am waiting for status of my Clubsport Pedals order.

:)

Lots of folks, Thomas included jumped to the conclusion I was complaining about the PACKAGE being delayed.

Not true at all.

Hey Zero, did you get your clubsport pedals yet? I'd love to know how they fit onto the wheelstand pro.

no one would need to jump to conclusions if you were clear. you are typing things out here. its not like you were pressured into not being specific. did you notice the title of the thread you are posting in? it says a lot about your approach if a CEO doesnt want your money, especially in this economy.

phate, hold on to your order for now. Me and a few others in this topic just ordered seperate and can tell you how fast it ships. I wouldn't go just yet in case ours don't ship.

Thanks for the info, I`ll wait to see how this turns out.

LMAO you have to love the agent Scully line!

And there is no fraud when you have an uncooperative customer that is abusive. The company is clearly offering your money back. Just as I would do with my business if I had someone that instead of working to get a resolution looks to have a clear agenda. Honestly RC it doesn't look like you want your "problem" resolved. When asked questions about the problem, your response was your tech people know ask them?

If I were to have a customer like you going out of his way to bash my company on a public forum and threatening to sue I would kindly give you your money back as well and send you on your way.

You accuse others of being in their back pocket for offering a counterpoint which seems to be the reality for most of their customers judging from the last few pages.

Arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.:lol::lol:

Update Status from my order:
There is no update. Still pending.
Wrote an Email to support and claudia directly this morning if they can ship the wheel and pedals today and use 24h dhl (they send from germany and i live in germany) on my costs for sure. Sadly no response till now (we've 6pm here in germany now).
What a shame. My girlfriend is out of house this weekend... :)

Hey, what did you order exactly? It's weird that Thomas said the CSP and GT2 are ready to ship individually but it looks like noones orders are going anywhere at this point.

Understood. My suggestion would be that you follow up with a polite email to Claudia about the status of your order. That is part of what I did, and it worked wonders. She was very responsive.

Hey Zero, did you get your clubsport pedals yet? I'd love to know how they fit onto the wheelstand pro.

I have not yet received the clubsport pedals, nor have I figured out how to mount them on the wheelstandpro. I am currently toying with the idea of using a piece of plywood, painted black, that I would mount to the bottom of my wheelstandpro, using the mounting screws and brackets that came with the wheelstandpro. Once I mount and secure the plywood, I am hoping that I can then use screws or something else to secure the pedals to the plywood.

Hey, what did you order exactly? It's weird that Thomas said the CSP and GT2 are ready to ship individually but it looks like noones orders are going anywhere at this point.

I canceled my order of the "Porsche 911 GT2 Wheel - Clubsport edition - EU" and placed a new order with all the parts separately like Thomas wrote here.

Yesterday the support was very responsive. Today not so really :)

We had a public holiday today. I will sit down with my team tomorrow and get a clear picture on all open orders. I know there are a lot of backorders so I want to be sure of what is going on. I want to post something on my blog tomorrow or on Monday.

We ship out everything we can and more shipments are coming in almost daily so things are a bit confusing at the moment. At the same time orders go up and up and we have a hard time to ramp up production more and more. But instead of rushing out stuff we need to make sure that quality is still the top priority.

Thanks for the update. I guess since most of us are outside of your home country we would have no idea you were on holiday - we are trying to be patient but it's hard! :D

The update is much appreciated, by not only myself, but I'm sure a lot of people on here. Will keep my eyes open on 911wheel.de to see where all if this stands. Thanks ;)

Oh this is right. It's a public holiday in Bayern. Not here in NRW.
Haha I don't want to open Claudias in-box tomorrow LOL :)
