Fanatec GT2 CS edition order status

I can assure you it's not a money making scam! I ordered GT2 wheel, clubsports and a shifter set, of those the wheel and pedals have shipped suggesting the shifters are out of stock which is what's holding up the GT2 and GT3 Clubsport editions.

Thomas said that he expects to clear all pre-orders this month which means they must be expecting shifters in soon, in your case it might be best to sit tight.

There is no shifter included in the GT3 CE in the german edition. I hope I get an anwer on my email tomorrow.

If you get an answer can you post it up here please. I'm in the UK and want to order the GT3 Clubsport edition, but dont' want my card charged and then have to wait till the end of the month to get it. If they start shipping the GT3 Clubsport edition or they have a shipping date soon I'll order it at that point.

That's pretty much the MO... You order and pay, they ship at the end of the month, if they have the stock available. It's what happens with accessories like this around big game launches.
 
So in summary then, after all the back and forth from Fanatec, they have the CSP's in stock, they have the GT2's in stock and no shifters in stock (so no Clubsprot Packages to ship) - they are inviting people to order both individually and going into Friday STILL have not given any followup as to status of paid individual orders.

Exactly how many frustrated custmers do they need before they ship the product form the various warehouses they have?

I took a peek over at the SRT/ISR forums Same story there - frustrated customers and no followup..

This seems to constinute a pattern of conducting business, not a fluke one off situation.
 
That's why I'm waiting for this mania to end before I order a GT2. Plus I want to see what the Clubsport shifter turns out like.
 
I heard I was getting a pair of Justin Beiber tickets with my order. What, that promotion still isn't going on? ;)

I heard those that ordered the GT2 clubsport package get the new shifter, that's why they are delayed...💡

Probably a smart call but I have faith in Thomas and Fanatec to work this out soon. Hell, he has posted on here and admitted there are some logistics issues and that he will meet with the team tomorrow to work this out. That is a leader of a company on a game forum. Was Logitech's CEO posting when G25 shifters started failing? Maybe he was but I never saw anything.

I am still excited for the GT2 . I don't like some of their business practices, but we would not all be here complaining if they made sub-par products. Fanatec is certainly unlike any company I have dealt with before. I have posted in the past on Thomas' blog that I would be very dissatisfied with a shoddy product after waiting almost two months after paying (this after hearing about fans rubbing, but has been addressed).

However, I am going to put some trust in the Fanatec team that they will work through this and I will have an affordable high-end setup in the near future.

I'll be buying a wheel in a few weeks, tax time is approaching. One thing I know is that I will not wait for a month or even a week for the product I buy. I love being an Amazon Prime customer, getting things next day for $4 is unbeatable! Paying $20 or whatever for shipping and then waiting a month is unheard of. Then paying for shipping twice just because two parts being ordered seprately is faster than ordering as a package, is just flat out wrong.
 
But instead of rushing out stuff we need to make sure that quality is still the top priority.

👍 I agree, use to work in the shipping Business, it's better to take your time and get it all right, rather than rushing and not sending a customers whole order. Then getting a angry phone call about why it wasn't all shipped.

Who said that you will be charged twice if we ship separatly?

And please consider that Amazon only ships what they have in stock. And if they have strong demand on a product and backorders they will do exactly what we do and take pre-orders.
And at least in Amazon Germany you will also have to pay first.

If they calculate the shipping cost into the product price is a different story. We decided to make it transparent and charge exactly what we have to pay for shipping.

So ordered to deliverd is looking at 6 days.
I ordered the wheel and csp without the shifters.

I haven't paid any more by ordering separately. You add all the individual items you want (wheel, pedals, shifters etc) to your basket, place an order and Fanatec ship what's in stock, simple.

Thinking of ordering the GT2(xbox one)at the end of the month.
Are these things limited or will I be ok?

Hoping to see some kind of an update this morning as to when we should expect our goods. No idea what time it is in Germany....but I'm up at 3:30am for work over here on the east coast US ;)

Hope they read my email that i want 24h shipping. It's a good reason to go to work tomorrow until the package arrives :)

Seems like the GT3 CE in us has an shifter included? And you also pay much less than we? We pay 320€ you pay 320$ (246€)... How annoying :indiff:
But I think you are wrong, I don´t think you get an shifter in the GT3 CE... It is only in the GT2 CE?

hey sele, did you get the automatic reply that your request will be processed? Which email did you send to your request or did you used the contact form.
You can also write fanatec here a pm (use german or "bayrisch" ;))
 
Just received an answer for my GT3 order, possibly end of january...

I´m pissed...

Ok maybe they got it not on stock. But how they handle their customers is not professional. They got my cash (Also I still miss my 330€ from my first order wich get canceled, whyever). They answer very short and not 100% clearly to my email.

Very untypical for an german company, here they say "customer is king"... At least they can say "we are sorry but it can be late january" and not an pissed short "possibly end of january"...

So I got 1 month to change my decision, maybe I get the T500 if I see it somewhere in store...

But I agree this is not really satisfying. Write thomas a pm here. He takes more time to answer.
My refund from first order is also still not there. But first i ordered via paypal and there it's shown as refunded. I think paypal holds the money for some time to earn interest (is that correctly spelled?)

do you know if the thrustmaster is already available in germany (MediaMark, Saturn,...)?

Yes, PayPal hold the money, i had to transfer the money into my bank account via the paypal site.

I can´t go out because I´m ill :/ But an GTRP member already delivered his T500 and he says that it is the best wheel he ever got. He plays sims since 15 years and tried out nearly every wheel. Anyway that wheel needs time to get full support from other games and the PC.

Oh ok good to know, why did Fanatec not told me this? I mailed them that I miss my money but get no answer. In paypal it says that the money has payed back but PayPal holds the money back. I will try to cash that out.

EDIT: I dont know how to transfer the money to my bank account? It say´s that I have no money on my paypal account and I cant send any money.
 
I paid via credit card, and my Clubsport edition refund was instant. I just used the same card to re-order in separate pieces. If I don't see some tracking numbers by the end of the day, I will have this order refunded as well. Not trying to be pushy, but something that is in stock, shouldnt take more than three days to ship. There are plenty of choices when it comes to sim equipment...and I hope we get the follow through that we were promised a couple days ago ;)

Remeber fellas...the one good thing about Fanatec useing paypal...is you can dispute the charges if they can't provide somethin that proves that there is in fact something being shipped to YOUR address.
