Remeber fellas...the one good thing about Fanatec useing paypal...is you can dispute the charges if they can't provide somethin that proves that there is in fact something being shipped to YOUR address.
I think Fanatec is some of the fastest companies in requested order canceling. This should be no problem :)

EDIT: I dont know how to transfer the money to my bank account? It say´s that I have no money on my paypal account and I cant send any money.
My status is "Vorübergehende Einbehaltung" from 1/5/11. So it will take some time I think.

lol, Fanatec EU shop was updated -> they no longer offer the GT2 CS Edition

could Fanatec please clarify the following point?

No, I am pretty sure we understand. As I said previously, we understand they cannot ship the package right now. We just want to ensure that parts they do have in stock now are reserved until the rest of the out of stock items arrive. I could imagine with a glut of CS pedal orders and wheel orders separate from the package that a shortage will occur which would cause even further delay for those if us that ordered the CS package a month ago. In my head I want to see my wheel and my CS pedal sitting in a corner with my name on it until the shifters arrive.

Same with the US shop. Smart move on their part if the CS edition is causing major headache.

They should update the product too with it's current shipping info.

We are also trying to make partial shipments on the CS editions so we can deliver the open orders faster. We actually do have a lot of wheels and CSPs in stock but they are blocked. This is not a good situation for anybody.

At the same time we will bring in more products by airfreight from China.

So I'm still a little confused about this for the US. The other day, you had told us that we could cancel our orders and have the product shipped because the GT2 wheel is in stock. So now, from what I understand...it is no longer in stock, and they won't be in stock till the 21st? Also, will the stuff that's in stock (like the Clubsports an the wheel stands that are coming in today be shipped out immediately?

Sele1981, im from the UK, so i pay the same price. Finally got an email back after asking fanatec why i'd had no response to confirm my order or payment. But was told shipment was end of january :nervous:, so we shall all have to wait and see. Just read thomas's blog, and it seems pretty explanatory about what's happening

They've taken all clubsport editions out of the shop now, including the GT3 RS.

So instead of being €319 for the GT3 clubsport edition, that puts the price up to €419.85, add the €22 euros shipping and the cost is now €441.85.

So overnight they increase the price by €100 for an old product. There goes my custom...

Wow Thomas, incredible response to the problem. I commend you.

Everybody should breathe a huge sigh of relief because you are getting your sh!^ soon. And for those that haven't ordered yet: I don't think you should worry, things will be available soon enough. These very aggressive actions by Fanatec will clear the way for you.

Thanks again Thomas and Fanatec.

Blocked? Blocked by whom? What exactly does this mean? No more Club Sport Pedal shipments in the USA? What exactly does a status of "pending' mean in your webstore? One screen shows the order as "Paid" - the other shows it as "Pending"? All very confusing.

Yeah, I'd like to know what "blocked" means as well. Doesn't make any sense. He had just told us to cancel our Clubsport orders and re-order to have in stock product shipped right away....and now, we can't get it?

Yeah I'm a little pissed now too.

I ordered specifically because Thomas said "if you order the pedals and GT2 seperately they are in stock and will ship immediately"

Now he says the it's going to be 2 more weeks? Why would he tell us they are ready to ship then?

"You are of course free to order the wheel and pedals separatly and we will ship it right away. Why do you think that you cannot do that? "

That is a direct quote from Fanatec on this site. Why would he tell us that?

Please answer us Fanatec because now even if I cancel my order I am out the exchange rate twice.

ALSO the blog sounds like they aren't even expecting to get GT2s until the 21st, add at least 2 more weeks for shipping. Pretty lame when we were told it will ship right away.

I'd love to know who or what is blocking him from shipping a product he has in stock.

I'm in the same boat. Definitely won't be putting an order in until this whole situation is resolved. Probably for the best anyway, sounds like the last thing Fanatec need is more orders :)

By blocking i believe he is referring to new shipments that are in customs. Information does seem to be hard to understand sometimes though.

I think he means "holding" them to fill open orders, ie; CS editions / any single item orders that have not been shipped........I hope that's what he means.

You are going to get your stuff by the end of the month. I would highly recommend against any changes to your orders as that will further confound things for you. I think this was the only possible solution to the hole Fanatec had dug for themselves. Does it mean he has to retract some things he recently said? Yes. But, if you just show a bit of patience, you will be satisfied in just a few weeks. It isn't the best situation for some customers but it is the best for all customers considering the current circumstances. Bottom line: be calm, let them work it out.

BTW, I believe blocked refers specifically to U.S. customs issue...out of Fanatec's control. I don't think it means anything for existing orders.

And what about shipping supposed "in stock" items within the USA?

I am sorry, but sitting on peoples money for 30 to 60 days when you have items in stock is not acceptable - period.

We seem to have come full circle again. The scenario of the PWTS and the PWGT3RS launch shipment/fulfillment debacles repeated yet again.

The underlying question that has yet to be answered still - is that of people with individual items ordered asking if their product will be displatched from existing stock, sooner rather than later.

Jan 21st is the next US ship date on some GT2's. On top of that, he specifically said to add "at least 2 weeks for customs clearance" to those dates and "some more days for shipping" puts us over a month from now....after he just told us it was going to ship immediately...what, a day ago? Obviously Thomas is not a man of his word. I gave, I should say "we" gave him the oppurtunity to hold up to his word...and YET AGAIN...he broke it.

Fanatec I'm sure is closed by now, and Claudia isn't returning emails anyway...so I'll just e-mail them on Monday to have the wheel and clubsport pedals refunded. My wheel stand...I don't care when it comes...I'll just re-order it after it's refunded. This isn't the kind of service I'd be looking for, god forbid I ever have a problem with the product. He can't even hold true to a statement he made less than two days ago. I'm not bashing them, just stating the facts. He was given the chance, and let us down again. They're not the only game in town, and while some might be alright with this kind of service....I certainly don't need to stand for it. Best of luck to Thomas, Fanatec, and their customers.

From the blog:
CSP
Enough inventory at the moment
Dec 31st
Jan 23rd

If I understand correctly, you are just waiting on a set of Club Sport Pedals? It seems like you should get those very soon given this information. Did you order them along with something else by chance? If it's by itself, then I don't see why you shouldn't have it already...unless Thomas hates Texans;)

Yeah I'm with you...I'd probably cancel if I didn't have to pay the exchange rate again...

I'm just going to keep going back to this statement:
""You are of course free to order the wheel and pedals separatly and we will ship it right away. Why do you think that you cannot do that? "

It's great to have the CEO of a company talking to us but what good is it if he is making promises that aren't even true?

It sounds like Thomas really needs to improve the communication between himself and his team. A lot of people even cancelled their GT2CS to get the CSP and GT2 individually, ON THE CEO'S RECOMMENDATION, and now they will have to wait even longer to get their stuff.

Yeah, I want to trust them but can't. *sigh* If I find a T500RS before my fanatec ships I'm cancelling my order too. *sigh* again

I was thinking the blog entry was to show their shipment receipt dates - but that they have GT2's and CSP's in stock and that exisitng orders woudl be shipped from this stock.

Yeah - I am just waiting on a set of CSP's. Hell, a number of folks are just waiting on seperate GT2 and CSP deliveries.

Anyway, I am not one to gloat or say "I sorta told you so." .... but, it seems that my impatience and frustration from the outset wasn't so unfounded after all ;)

Yeah, I'm one of them. I cancelled an order from December 12th on the GT2 CSE and re-ordered separately becuase that's what he told us to do to have it shipped right away. And now...the stuff is over one month out? Crazy!

I completely understand your frustration. It is unfortunate that you will miss out on what will probably end up being an incomparable product after a few more firmware and driver updates. But, nothing sends a message like a customer taking business elsewhere. It is the right way to let Fanatec know that they can not continue to succeed in the U.S. market if they cannot learn how to consistently manage orders properly in the future.

Still, I think you are misunderstanding what Thomas is trying to do here in the immediate future. He is making some aggressive changes to his shipping policies to make sure all existing orders are fulfilled as soon as possible. (Although I am an American, I can tell you from living in Bavaria for several years that getting a Bavarian to change policy is a miracle unto itself). I think what will follow are some major changes for the company.

If you hold on a bit, I think you would personally be happier in the end.

I'm sure the product is great, I have no doubts about that. But what good is the product if you can't rely on the company behind the product. Like I said, I certainly gave Thomas a fair chance to make this right....so I can say I left this situation doing everything I could ;)

Hmm the next possible shipping date for the GT3 is today but I get an email that says end of january... Confusing...

Anyway happy to ordered an GT3 CE!

MisterStatic you're right.

Problem is GT5 is out. Many want a wheel and pedals. And they want them now. If GT5 would be released in march this thread wouldn't even exist. (It would exist then in april or so ;) )

I/We understand that they are struggling with the old shop system (everytime i order there were place two orders fe), their company structure and the mountain of unexpected orders. Maybe they got problems from production/delivery in china also. Who knows.

We want products shipped now. So there has to be clear, unambiguous statement.

We're discussing here the meaning of shop state and words from thomas like "blocked"

This doesn't help everyone....

You're totally right. We'd rather have no communication like any normal company than to have the CEO, of all people, to tell us personally that we can order and it will be shipped immediately and then have him change his words 2 days later.
